LOTS OF CANDLES FOR A MODERN BIRTHDAY

There’s lots of candles of today’s card – who doesn’t like lots of candle to celebrate a birthday!

This card is a bit of a step away from my usual kind of stamping.  It’s a very modern take using the fabulous Broadway Bound Specialty designer series paper.  No need to stamp a lot of candles, they’re already there for you.  All I did was add a bit of the Lovely Lipstick ribbon and, thanks to Itty Bitty Greetings, adding the greeting was easy!

TIP:  to anchor the bow on the ribbon, use a Mini Glue Dot.  It makes it easy to tie the bow!

Here’s the full list of everything I used.

AN EARLY FATHER’S DAY CARD

Are you getting ready for Father’s Day early or do you wait until it’s closer to the date?  I decided to get an early start on Father’s Day this year and have this cute card ready to show you.

I started with this great layout from Freshly Made Sketches and went from there with a card base of the returning Mint Macaron decorated with strips from Nature’s Poem Designer Series paper!  The Call Me Clover letters were created by using the new and fun Layering Alphabet Edgeless Dies.

I needed just the right greeting and found it in the Varied Vases stamp set!  Presto – a fun card for Dad!

TRY ON THESE BIRTHDAY BOOTS

These birthday boots are made for walking’!  I used the Country Livin’ stamp set for today’s clean and simple card.

Checking out the CAS(E) this sketch challenge was all of the inspiration I needed to get started!

I wanted to use our Watercolour Pencils to colour the boots but didn’t want the ink to smear, so I heat embossed the image to seal the Night of Navy ink before colouring.

The Color Theory Designer Series paper is on the Retirement list as are the Regals Enamel Shapes so I had to get in at least one more project using them!

HAVE A GRAND BIRTHDAY

I’ve been trying to build up my masculine birthday card collection and making a grand birthday card is easy with the Truly Tailored stamp set and matching accessories.

I started out with a piece from the True Gentleman Designer Series paper and added that lovely button for good measure.

The colour choice was easy – Night of Navy and Tranquil Tide are the main colours in this paper so it was only natural to use them for the greeting.  Now I have one more card to add to my collection!

Here’s the product list for you.

THERE’S NOTHING LIKE A PRETTY CALENDAR

A while back I held a class to make calendar pages for this year and today’s post shows four of the pages that were created.

Sometimes it’s hard to decide what each month’s theme will be but these four months were easy!

We have a Mother’s Day theme for May, Father’s Day for June, Canada Day for July and the perfect summer scene for August!

I used Graceful Garden(143849, 143846), Truly Tailored(145735, 145732), the Colorful Seasons Bundle(145348), You’re Inspiring(145808, 145805) and Waterfront(146386) stamp sets for these pages and am so happy with the way that they all turned out.

If you are looking to add some (or all) of these sets to your collection, visit my Website to shop.  The Waterfront and Truly Tailored sets are from the Occasions Catalogue and are available until May 31, 2018.

Happy Stamping!

TO A CLASSY GUY

It’s the start of a brand new week and today’s card focuses on a masculine card for a classy kind of guy.

Friday’s post showed a card layout that I used from Splitcoast Stampers so I used the same layout for today’s card.

The bow ties from the True Gentleman designer series paper are so cute and they make the focal point of this classy card.

I did a little work with our Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop up the comb and “classy” part of the greeting that were stamped with Tranquil Tide ink.  This card is geared for a birthday but it can also be used for a Father’s day card as well.

Here’s the list of products that I used.

CELEBRATING WITH THE PANDAS

Lol, you might think that I really, really like the Party Pandas stamp set – And – you would be right!  Who can resist their absolute cuteness?!

Awww!  I still had the CAS(E) this sketch layout on my table, so decided to use it for this card as well.  We have a little stamping, die-cutting, colouring and sequins to make this card perfectly pleasing!

TIP:  Place the Stampin’ Pierce Mat (126199) under your cardstock before stamping the image to get a perfectly solid image!

Here’s the list of products for you.

BOWTIES AND SNEAKERS

I’m stepping away from pandas today and talking about bowties and sneakers.

Yep, isn’t that just too cute?  I used a combination of the Epic Celebrations stamp set from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue and the great package of the True Gentleman designer series paper.

Do you know someone who’s into bowties and maybe adds a set of sneakers to their attire?  This would be a great guy birthday card and I’m reserving this one for my “guy file” for sure.

Have you Sale-A-Brated yet?  If you host a stamping party before March 31st, this could be one of the stamp sets that you can earn FREE with your qualifying party.  Contact Me to book your date so we can get you and your friends busy stamping!

PANDAS AND BALLOONS

Pandas and Balloons, the perfect party combination!  That’s the theme for today’s really cute card.

I followed along with the layout from CAS(E) this sketch

and used a post-it note to do some masking.  I wanted to show that bevy of balloons by themselves so laid the post-it over the card front so the panda bear wouldn’t show as I stamped just the balloon image.  Then I stamped the panda image again and cut it out with Paper Snips so he could be popped up onto the greeting banner.  Just plain cute, don’t you think?

Here’s the full list of products that I used.

That’s it for today,  Happy Stamping to you!

A VALENTINE OF A DIFFERENT SORT

Hi and check out today’s Valentine of a different sort!

This is an alternate version from this card that I posted the other day.  I love the eyeglasses and bow ties adorning those hearts and, of course this is made especially for the men!

I used the Everyday Label Punch for the greeting.  Yes, it was in the Holiday catalogue but is still available and you can find it Here in my Store.

Here is the list of all of the products that I used.

Big Shot

$136.00

I hope that this week’s posts will inspire you to create some Valentines of your own.  Have fun and Happy Stamping!
