HAPPY THANKSGIVING FRIEND

It’s Thanksgiving day here in Canada so here are wishes for a happy and delicious day to my Canadian friends.

That’s a busy, but fun background piece from the Painted Autumn designer series paper but I was able to tone it down a bit with those pretty leaves and the greeting cut-out.

I really like the combination of Crushed Curry and Early Espresso, as it seems to say fall so nicely.

Here is the list of products that I used and don’t forget that the World Card Making Day Sale ends on Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017.

BEHIND THE LENS

Behind the lens with cameras, cameras everywhere!  I though that a very appropriate title for today’s busy card.

These patterns are from the Pick A Pattern Designer series paper and I’ve been itching to play with them.  The light came on when I grabbed Marquee Message from the shelf – perfect for my idea!

I stamped the word “awesome” directly onto the designer paper with the Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then, using the Stamp-a-ma-jig, added the Versamark.  A little Clear Emboss powder and the Heat Tool and voila!  The rest of the greeting was stamped onto a thin piece of whisper white cardstock and then I added the camera and Rhinestones just for fun.

Here’s the full list of products that I used.

A LITTLE MUSIC NEVER HURTS!

Do you enjoy listening to music while you stamp?  I do and sometimes it can get a little loud, lol.  But was part of the creative process for today’s musical card.

I thought the greeting from Lift Me Up was a small “tongue in cheek” way to boost someone’s spirits.  This wasn’t intended to be a Christmas card but it could be transformed into one just by changing the greeting and maybe adding another small image to the greeting banner.

Here is the list of products in case you’d like to re-create this card yourself.

Have a wonderful Monday and Happy Stamping!

PLAYING WITH ORCHIDS – AGAIN!

Hello and I’m playing with the Climbing Orchid Bundle – again!  This time by creating these lovely vellum orchids.

Working with vellum makes for a lovely twist, especially when using the Berry Burst ink!  The first thing to do is to stamp the branches onto the whisper white background and then run it through the Big Shot so you can add the Garden Trellis.  I did a little trick by adding the branch onto the greeting piece so it would lie nicely at the top.  TIP:  Just stamp the greeting first and then lay the piece over top of the already stamped branch to get an eyeball of where it should be over top of the greeting.

EASTERN BEAUTY

I thought that I’d show you this card that was created with the Eastern Beauty Bundle.  It is so beautiful with the new InColors, Tranquil Tide and Fresh Fig.

If you look closely you can see that I heat embossed the little flourish in gold and then added the centrepiece using the Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers.  A tiny gold bow finishes it off nicely.

THE CUTEST PIGGY ON THE BLOCK

He, he, I think that the This Little Piggy stamp set is the cutest on the block!  And I really love and relate to the greeting on this card!

Isn’t she just the cutest and with the best greeting ever!  Of course adding that bit of the Naturally Eclectic designer series paper shows that she is the “gem” that she is for sure!

I was playing along with The Paper Players sketch for this and am quite happy with the simple and powerful message!

Below is the list of products used for this card.  If you think you might need this very cute stamp set, just click on the picture to go directly to my Online Store.

ORCHIDS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL

Do you like Orchids?  I think that they are so beautiful and was delighted to play with the new Climbing Orchid Bundle.

This is one of the cards that we had fun with in class yesterday.  I kept the background plain so we could show off those beautiful Orchids.  Perfect Plum is the perfect colour to set them off don’t you think?  We just stamped the images and then used the matching Orchid Builder Framelits Dies to cut them out.

It didn’t take too many supplies to create this card so this list is short.

SUNNY SMILES FOR YOUR MONDAY

We had an absolutely lovely weekend full of sunshine and smiles, so I thought it only appropriate to share this sunny card today.  After all, isn’t a sunny smile a great way to start off the week?

I “borrowed” the greeting from the Colorful Seasons stamp set and did something a little different to get that shape. TIP:   I first traced the outline of the stamp onto the whisper white paper, then stamped it with Old Olive ink and then cut it out with Paper Snips.  It’s a fun way to add a little interest to your project!

A CUT ABOVE:

I’m delighted to share with you that I was one of the Paper Players choices for A Cut Above on their challenge for last week.  This is the card I shared with them.  Thank you for choosing my card!

Here’s the list of great products that I used for today’s card.

QUIRKY CRITTERS FROM STAMPIN’ UP!

Hi.  Today’s share was created with the Quirky Critters stamp set and I chose to use the image of this cute little Quail.

Cute for sure, don’t you think?  I chose to use an Aqua Painter to colour this little cutie and added the piece behind the image from our new Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper.  The soft sky blue works beautifully to help set off that little bird.  I’m also playing along with The Paper Players challenge this week.  We are use create a Clean-and-Simple card with a feathered friend image so the quail was the natural choice.

ONE LOVELY ROSE JUST FOR YOU

Happy Monday to you and what better way to start a new week than with one lovely rose!  This card was made with the Graceful Garden stamp set and I love the rose images.

It’s perfect for watercolouring so I brought out our Watercolor Pencils and Aqua Painters to get just the right touches in that lovely rose.  TIP:  Use our Shimmery White paper when watercolouring.  It won’t pill while you’re blending the colours.

Notice that interesting layout?  It’s from Freshly Made Sketches and was fun to put together with the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.  The background looked a little too bare for me so I added that trellis image from the Graceful Garden stamp set to finish things off.  Perfect!

Here’s the sketch for you – you might want to give it a try yourself.
