PLAYING WITH ORCHIDS – AGAIN!

Hello and I’m playing with the Climbing Orchid Bundle – again!  This time by creating these lovely vellum orchids.

Working with vellum makes for a lovely twist, especially when using the Berry Burst ink!  The first thing to do is to stamp the branches onto the whisper white background and then run it through the Big Shot so you can add the Garden Trellis.  I did a little trick by adding the branch onto the greeting piece so it would lie nicely at the top.  TIP:  Just stamp the greeting first and then lay the piece over top of the already stamped branch to get an eyeball of where it should be over top of the greeting.

THE CUTEST PIGGY ON THE BLOCK

He, he, I think that the This Little Piggy stamp set is the cutest on the block!  And I really love and relate to the greeting on this card!

Isn’t she just the cutest and with the best greeting ever!  Of course adding that bit of the Naturally Eclectic designer series paper shows that she is the “gem” that she is for sure!

I was playing along with The Paper Players sketch for this and am quite happy with the simple and powerful message!

Below is the list of products used for this card.  If you think you might need this very cute stamp set, just click on the picture to go directly to my Online Store.

QUIRKY CRITTERS FROM STAMPIN’ UP!

Hi.  Today’s share was created with the Quirky Critters stamp set and I chose to use the image of this cute little Quail.

Cute for sure, don’t you think?  I chose to use an Aqua Painter to colour this little cutie and added the piece behind the image from our new Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper.  The soft sky blue works beautifully to help set off that little bird.  I’m also playing along with The Paper Players challenge this week.  We are use create a Clean-and-Simple card with a feathered friend image so the quail was the natural choice.

ONE LOVELY ROSE JUST FOR YOU

Happy Monday to you and what better way to start a new week than with one lovely rose!  This card was made with the Graceful Garden stamp set and I love the rose images.

It’s perfect for watercolouring so I brought out our Watercolor Pencils and Aqua Painters to get just the right touches in that lovely rose.  TIP:  Use our Shimmery White paper when watercolouring.  It won’t pill while you’re blending the colours.

Notice that interesting layout?  It’s from Freshly Made Sketches and was fun to put together with the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.  The background looked a little too bare for me so I added that trellis image from the Graceful Garden stamp set to finish things off.  Perfect!

Here’s the sketch for you – you might want to give it a try yourself.

COLOURING IS SO VERY THERAPEUTIC

Do you like to colour?  I find it very therapeutic and really enjoyed colouring these two pretty birds from the new Hostess set, Feathery Friends(144307CM 144032WM).

The beauty of colouring is that you can use any colours that you want to make the images your very own!  This new Hostess set would be perfect for you!

We will be away for a family holiday in July, but I’ll be back in August and ready to book your Stamping Party.  Make sure to check my calendar and Contact Me to book a date.  I’d love to stamp with you.

Here is the full list of products that I used.  I needed a lot of Stampin’ Write Markers to colour those two cuties!

IN THE GARDEN

Tis the season to spend time in the garden and I’m sure that lots of you have been.  So today’s card shows a beautiful tree covered in blossoms!

Of course, who wouldn’t want to sit under that tree enjoying the sunshine and smell of the blooms!  I created this card to play along with the SUO Challenge to celebrate “what’s out in the garden” and I couldn’t think of anything nicer than sitting under that beautiful tree.

TIP:  To add the touches of green, use a Sponge Dauber to add the colour right onto the stamp.  Then just stamp over the blossoms!

TRANQUIL FLOWERS WITH A BURST OF BERRY

Today’s share is this card I made a few days ago using the New Colorful Seasons Bundle.

The background designer paper is from the Retired Succulent Garden pack which is, unfortunately, sold out.

I went ahead and stamped those tiny flowers with Berry Burst (New InColor) and Sweet Sugarplum and cut them out with the machine Seasonal Layers Thinlits.  The branch was cut out by hand with Paper Snips(103579) to give the blooms something to sit on.

Here’s the list of products that I used.  Yay, only 2 days to go until you can order the wonderful New InColors and this stamp set.  Keep June 1st marked on your calendar!

HUGS AND BLOOMS JUST GO TOGETHER

I thought that a great way to start off the week was with a virtual hug and some pretty blooms to you.

The hugs greeting is part of the New Lovely Words Thinlits Dies and I layered it with one of the larger scalloped circles from the Layering Circles Framelits dies.

The blooms were stamped with the new Berry Burst InColor pad and then I cut them out to add to the circle.  Tip:  I stamped the ink off before stamping these images onto a piece of Whisper White.

BACKORDER NEWS:

I used a piece of the Eastern Palace Specialty Designer series paper for the background – BUT – this paper is on Backorder.  However, Stampin’ Up! does expect a shipment to arrive at the end of this month.  You can still order the Bundle and the designer paper will be shipped separately when it arrives.
