The Beautiful Peacock stamp set is just that – Beautiful!  So I had lots of fun creating this card with it.

As you can see, there are quite a few things going on here.  I started with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock an Aqua Painter and the new Brusho® Crystal Colour.  I simply applied a wash of water on the paper and then sprinkled the Yellow crystals over it and let them dry.

In the meantime I stamped the peacock body onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock and cut it out.  The fan and white flourish were heat embossed with white onto a piece of Vellum and, yes, cut out.  All of the pieces were then put together using Mini Glue Dots and then attached to the main panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added two 3/8″ strips of the Myths & Magic Glimmer Paper to the edges using our tough and really sticky Tear & Tape Adhesive and attached the entire piece to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Happy Stamping!

Do you need a birthday card?  I created this one with the hilarious Birthday Wit stamp set and a little Brusho®Crystal Colour!

I was really excited to see that Stampin’ Up! has added the Brusho®Crystal Colour to their line-up and couldn’t wait to give it a try.  I started out with a simple application for the background of that very funny greeting!

TIP:  The very first thing you should do is poke about 2-3 holes in the lid of each container to avoid ending up with those tiny crystals all over your working space.

Then, you can cover them with a small piece of tape to keep them from “escaping”.

It is recommended that you use Shimmery White or Watercolour Paper for this technique.  Apply a few drops of water, sprinkle the crystals and then use an Aqua Painter to spread them around.  Let it dry and then stamp the image over top.  Presto, a really great, instant background!

Here’s a video showing a few ideas for using Brusho®Crystal Colour.

Have fun with this and Happy Stamping!
