Tag: direct to stamp technique

Today is a good day as I was playing with a very pretty Hostess stamp set called Background Bits(144029CM 144026WM).

This stamp set has 8 images that includes two greetings but  I chose to use a greeting from the Sale-A-Bration set, Heartfelt Blooms.

I started with this great card sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and the rest just came together.

The bundle of flowers at the bottom were coloured with the “direct to stamp” technique using the Berry Bliss and Garden Green Stampin’ Write Markers.  Then, I added a mat in Berry Bliss for a little pop on the white card.  It’s a simple and pretty way to send off a thank you!

Happy Stamping!

Today’s card features the Happy Birthday Thinlits Die done up in 3D.

I found a card using this technique on Pinterest(see my page) and just had to Case it!  The effect was achieved by stamping the big blossom from the Birthday Blooms stamp set twice – once onto the background paper of Whisper White cardstock and then again onto a scrap piece.  I placed the scrap piece over top of the stamped image to get an idea of where the thinlit greeting should lie.

Then, it was just a matter of cutting out the Birthday greeting and popping it up onto the card front using tiny pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The picture is angled so you can get a better idea of the placement of the greeting.

The stamped image was coloured “direct to stamp” using our Stampin’ Write Markers in Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Sweet Sugarplum.

Big Shot

Have a perfectly wonderful day and Happy Stamping.

To very loosely quote Shakespeare, “A Rose by any other name would smell as sweet”.  Today’s Rose was created by using the Graceful Garden stamp set and the “direct to stamp” technique.

This technique involves using our Stampin’ Write Markers to add colour directly to the stamp and then stamping the image onto your cardstock.  In this case I used the colours that Create with Connie and Mary posted on their Facebook page – Berry Burst, Island Indigo and Pear Pizzazz.  Then I very carefully cut that beautiful rose out with paper snips and used small pieces of Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop it up onto the card front.

The birthday greeting has a beautiful font and it was cut out using our new Pretty Label Punch.

Happy Stamping!

Happy day to you and today’s card features the new InColor called Tranquil Tide.  This colour goes wonderfully well with the Succulent Garden designer paper so I had to use it!

I punched out that Bitty Butterfly with tranquil tide as well and added some stamped detail from the Best Birds stamp set(page 53 Annual Catalogue).

The branch was inked up with the “direct to stamp” technique which simply means that you use Stampin’ Write Markers to add different colours to the image.  Then, before you stamp it onto your paper, make sure to “huff” on it to re-moisten the ink.  Easy-Peasy!

Here’s the list of products for you.
