JOY TO YOUR WORLD

Hi from Cynthia’s Creative Corner where the snowflakes are falling both outside and inside!

I was organizing my collection of dies and pulled out the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits dies for today’s joy to your world card.

I decided to back those beautiful snowflakes with Silver Foil (which is rather difficult to photograph) and cut 2 inches off of the edge of the card to attach the silver foil piece.  Then the string of snowflakes was attached using our tough and durable Liquid Multipurpose glue!

This week’s Freshly Made Sketches layout was the starting point which is why I decided to add the greeting using a piece of Vellum cardstock.

Here’s the sketch layout.

TIP:  Use a small piece of a stamping sponge to spread the liquid multipurpose on the back of the vellum.  This makes the glue virtually invisible so it won’t show through the vellum.

HERE COMES SANTA

OK, The Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set has been sitting on my table just waiting to be used, so………. here comes Santa!

So darn cute!  This stamp set also has a matching punch – the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch so I cut Santa out and popped him up in the middle!  The Frost White shimmer paint added a great shimmer to his suit just by using a small paint brush!

I followed along with the new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for this cute and simple card!

A TREE FULL OF WISHES

Hi there and welcome to Cynthia’s Creative Corner!  I was playing with the Snow is Glistening stamp set and came up with this simple but pretty card.

That tree stamp is so pretty and I love the golden snowflakes scattered through it!  The greeting was “borrowed” from the Dashing Deer set and masked so just th “Christmas Wishes” would show.  Love it!

I followed the simple sketch laid out by Freshly Made Sketches which made it easy to decide which images to use!

AN ELEGANT STAG

Good Friday to you and welcome to this elegant card that features the equally elegant stag from the Dashing Deer Bundle.

I love the bright touches of Call Me Clover and embossing on this card!  Notice that I embossed the stag as well.  Tip – cut it out first and then emboss it.  It makes for a much cleaner look

I didn’t want to add any extra to the front so added the greeting on this inside.  This is just one of the cards that we will be making at next Tuesday’s Christmas card class!

Using a good sketch always helps to get the creative juices flowing and this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge did just that!

BOO TO YOU

Boo to you with this card today!  I used the Host set, Warm Hearted to create it.

I don’t have a lot of Halloween-themed stamp sets so focused in on the tiny skull image for this card.  Yes, after stamping them, I cut each one out carefully with Paper Snips!  Whew!  The greeting is a 2-step stamping process so I was able to combine the Pumpkin Pie and black together for a little more interest.

Freshly Made Sketches posted this sketch so I followed along with the placement of the greeting and those tiny (scary?) skulls.

THERE’S BEAUTY IN THE DETAILS

Hello to you!  We are going from Thanksgiving to Christmas for today’s post.  Only in the stamping’ Up! world can one do that, lol!

Here we have a study in silver topped with a beautiful stag and touches of Real Red.  That piece of Silver Foil with the Swirls & Curls embossing folder and adhered it to the card front using our tough Tear & Tape Adhesive.  It’s a good idea when you have a deeply embossed piece!

I was following along with the new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for this this one.  It’s not exactly as the sketch is shown but a pretty good idea I think.  I’m looking forward to sharing it at at the next Christmas Card class!

Here’s the sketch so you can see what I started with.

THREE IN A ROW

A big welcome to you!  What would you put in these three jugs?  I wasn’t sure so just left them as they are.

They were coloured with our fabulous Stampin’ Blends (Smokey Slate combo) and touched up with a little of the Frost White Shimmer Paint that is in the Holiday Catalogue (page38 bottom left).  I used a tiny piece of a Stampin’ Sponge to add it.

The layout for this card follows along with the Freshly Made Sketches layout for this week.

Those greeting tabs were attached using the new and fun Galvanized Clips and finished off with a small bow.  Love It!

LOVELY BOUQUET

Hello and I hope that you had a great weekend!  We enjoyed beautiful fall weather although it was a little chilly in the mornings.  Fall is definitely here in northeastern BC!

Today’s lovely bouquet was created with the Country Home stamp set and the Galvanized Metallic Paper in the suite.

Freshly Made Sketches posted a great card layout to follow.

I found it a little challenging at first but finally got an idea “percolating”.  Our Stampin’ Write Markers were used to colour the bouquet by carefully combining colours to highlight the lovely fall colours that are abundant in my yard.

KEEPING IT SIMPLE

Happy Friday to you!  I’m keeping it simple with this Christmas card made using the Christmas Pines photopolymer stamp set (page 96 Annual Catalogue).

I’m playing along with Freshly Made Sketches for this one and am so happy with the way it turned out!  All it took was 4 colours of ink and some strategically placed red rhinestones to finish it off!  Now that’s a simple Christmas card that can be duplicated several times over!

Here’s the sketch I followed.

And, here’s the short list of products that I used.

I wish you a very happy weekend and make sure to get some stamping done!

OH SO ECLECTIC STAMP SET FROM STAMPIN’ UP!

I’m finding that the Oh, So Eclectic stamp set and matching Thinlits are becoming a “go to” for me lately!  I really love the flower images and coloured a few for today’s card.

Of course I was inspired by the new challenge from What Will You Stamp(use the Oh, So Eclectic stamp set) as well as the layout from Freshly Made Sketches!

This layout shows a square card so I made mine a 4-1/2″ square.  I used the Shaded Spruce and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends to colour the flowers and stamped the leaves in Shaded Spruce ink.  Then it was easy to cut them out with the matching thinlits!  A few strategically placed pearls and we’re all set!

Here’s the full list of products that I used.
