A COPPER CHRISTMAS

I played with some copper embossing powder for this card to send a shimmery Christmas greeting.

The layout came courtesy of Freshly Made Sketches and the Christmas Happiness and Seasonal Bells stamp sets.

I threw a couple of ideas around before settling on a Christmas card and am quite happy with the results.

WHITE ON WHITE WONDER

Well, we got more snow and some very chilly temperatures over the weekend which helped to inspire me to create this white on white Christmas card.

This is a 4-1/4″ square card which fits in for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge as well as The Paper Players white on white challenge.

Here’s the sketch that I followed for Freshly Made sketches.

I pulled out the older but beautiful Flurry of Wishes stamp set and had some heat embossing fun with those beautiful snowflake images.

STANDING GUARD FOR CHRISTMAS

Good day to you, I hope your weekend was a happy one!  Today I’m using the solder from the Sugarplum Dreams stamp set.

This was a special request from one of my clients and I was happy to oblige.  It’s very relaxing to sit and just colour and see that soldier come to life!  The layout comes from Freshly Made Sketches and it’s simplicity made it easy to highlight that solder!

Have you checked out my Class Calendar lately?  I still have spots available if you would like to join in on some stamping fun.  Here’s the LINK so you can sign up.

GLITTERY SNOWFLAKES TO MAKE YOU SMILE

Hello to a fresh new week and some glittery snowflakes to make you smile.

I started out with a completely different idea for Freshly Made Sketches, but since it is frosty outside, decided that these gold embossed snowflakes should be the way to go.

TIP:  Make sure to give the cardstock a good wipe with the Embossing Buddy before you stamp your images.

The Colorful Seasons bundle has the perfect snowflake stamp and matching snowflake thinlits so I put the Big Shot to work!  That lovely greeting is from the Eastern Beauty stamp set, so this card can easily be a Christmas card by adding the holiday greeting inside or a lovely all occasion card.

A PERFECT YELLOW ROSE

Where can you find a perfect yellow rose at this time of the year?  Well, on today’s card, that’s where!

I used the Graceful Garden stamp set and stamped it’s large, perfect rose with Basic Gray Archival ink and then coloured it in with Stampin’ Write Markers.  That lovely layout comes from Freshly Made Sketches which is the perfect way to show off that rose!  If you’d like to create something with this great sketch, here it is for you.

HERE’S TO YOUR BUBBLY STYLE

You’ve Got Style with your bubbly personality!  This card says it in style for sure.

The You’ve Got Style stamp set is just plain fun to work with and I love this lady with her colourful style.  I had a ton of fun colouring her with our Stampin’ Up! inks, an Aqua Painter as well as a few choice colours from our Stampin’ Write Markers. The kitty cat just finishes things off perfectly.

The layout for this card came from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and is the perfect way to highlight this styling’ lady.

COLOUR BLOCKING FOR A BIRTHDAY

Hi there!  Today’s card shows off some of the great Color Theory Designer Series Paper Stack for a simple birthday greeting!

Freshly Made Sketches posted a great layout that I thought would be perfect to show off a couple of the simple designs in this stack.

All I had to do then was add some swirls cut from the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies, a great greeting from Guy Greetings and this card is ready to be sent away!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GORGEOUS

Happy Monday to you and if it’s your birthday today – Happy Birthday to you!

I pulled out the Beautiful You stamp set for this card and used some “out of season” colours too.

The sketch came from Freshly Made Sketches and is meant to be as clean as possible and that is why I used the Beautiful You stamp set with its gorgeous images!

I also used the colours posted from the Colour Inspiration Challenge(Pool Party, Lemon Lime Twist, Tempting Turquoise and Flirty Flamingo).

It was a little difficult to get all four colours in there but the Birthday Blossoms stamp set helped with that lovely spray of flowers in the corner.  So why the umbrella?  Well, I’m going with the idea that it’s a very sunny day and the umbrella provides a little shade.

Happy Birthday to you and Happy Stamping!

GREEN CATS ARE COOL

He, he, green cats just have to be cool, don’t you think?  I sure had fun with this one!

I used the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series paper to create the card base and used the Lemon Lime Twist colour to add the extra details.  That lovely black Vintage Crochet trim was just waiting to be used, so why not?

The layout of this card came from Freshly Made Sketches, and here it is below.

The Spooky Cat stamp set has a matching Cat punch and this all comes as a bundle so you can create some great Halloween-themed projects.

ROSE WONDER SYMPATHY

Every so often one needs to send a sympathy card so I created this one to have ready.

I haven’t used the beautiful Rose Wonder stamp set and matching  Rose Garden Thinlits so the layout that Freshly Made Sketches posted made the selection easy!

I chose this colour scheme from the Colour Inspiration Challenge and that is why we have Dapper Denim, Sahara Sand, Basic Gray(greeting and label) and, of course, Whisper White.

If you look very closely, you will see that I used the Woodland Embossing Folder to give a little texture to that leaf spray just above the rose.

TECHNIQUE TIP:  How did I get the pieces of the rose to stay together?  Well, I first cut out a small circle and then after the rose had been cut out, and carefully holding the rose cut-out, glued it to the back of the flower.  That way it all stayed together to look like one piece.  Then, it was easy to cut the frame and glue it to the rose as an outline.  Make sure to use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen(138309) to attach the frame,
