It’s hard, but I’ve decided that autumn has to been my favourite time of year.  It’s the colours of the season that say it for me…the rusty colours of the leaves touched with the muted yellow of the sun!  The bringing in of the harvest.  This is what I tried to portray in today’s card.

Cajun Craze is such a lovely, rich colour and that is why I started with it for the card base.  The Painted Autumn designer paper has a couple of pages full of pumpkins so I cut one out to add to the bundle of leaves.  This is all done to play along with the Stampin’ Up! Only(SUO) challenge and it did take 3 stamp sets to get it “right” but I’m very happy with the outcome.

The background was stamped using the Touches of Texture stamp set and I used the “stamping off” technique to get the muted tones of Cajun Craze and Crushed Curry.  The leaves have a touch of Always Artichoke thrown in because some haven’t quite finished turning colour yet.

Happy Stamping!

Tis the season to spend time in the garden and I’m sure that lots of you have been.  So today’s card shows a beautiful tree covered in blossoms!

Of course, who wouldn’t want to sit under that tree enjoying the sunshine and smell of the blooms!  I created this card to play along with the SUO Challenge to celebrate “what’s out in the garden” and I couldn’t think of anything nicer than sitting under that beautiful tree.

TIP:  To add the touches of green, use a Sponge Dauber to add the colour right onto the stamp.  Then just stamp over the blossoms!

I hope that you are enjoying time out in your garden – Happy Stamping!

The old saying is “April showers bring May flowers” and that is very true up here in northeastern BC.  We actually plant later in May, after the long weekend because we can usually expect a little snow at that time.  Our snow is disappearing quickly so I’m “jumping the gun” a little with today’s card made with the Cottage Greetings stamp set.

SUO Challenges posted the challenge for us to showcase our favourite April theme.  That’s why I chose flowers as April brings many expectation of flower garden planning.

I used the soon to be retired 2015-2017 Stampin’ Write Markers to colour each image and created that pretty line of blooms.  The Rhinestones were added to depict raindrops.  What do you think?

Here’s the full list of products that I used on today’s card.

Wow, this new stamp set, Beautiful You, is gorgeous and lends itself well for watercoloring!

The best part is that Stampin’ Up! is bringing back their excellent Watercolor Pencils and I used the Melon Mambo pencil and an Aqua Painter to add the soft pink to the dress and hat.  Paired up with the beautiful and new Falling in Love Designer paper this card says it all!

I’m playing along with the SUO Challenge so the circle highlights that gorgeous image perfectly!

Here is the list of products that I used – just remember that a few of the items listed are not available until January 4, 2017!

Here’s a cute and cuddly card to take you into the weekend!

Cute and cuddly - www.cynthiascreativecorner.com

This card plays along with the SUO Challenge (Stampin’ Up! only) which is to feature something cute and cuddly on our projects.  And since I am a cat person, I couldn’t resist featuring the kitten image from the Made with Love stamp set.  I was a little unsure of the combination of Peekaboo Peach and Pool Party but decided that they do work well together.  What do you think?

This week I played along with the Create with Connie and Mary sketch and was one of the Top 3 picks!  Thank you to the design team.  You can see the card I submitted here.

I’m playing along with the SUO challenge(Stampin’ Up! only) to feature designer paper.  So, I used one design from Everyday Chic for the background mat and added “rays” of English Garden. I love the little honeybees so they became the focal point!

Have you tried the new Thick Whisper White cardstock?  I highly recommend it as it makes a very secure card base.  Check it out HERE.
