Happy Monday to you and what better way to start a new week than with one lovely rose!  This card was made with the Graceful Garden stamp set and I love the rose images.

It’s perfect for watercolouring so I brought out our Watercolor Pencils and Aqua Painters to get just the right touches in that lovely rose.  TIP:  Use our Shimmery White paper when watercolouring.  It won’t pill while you’re blending the colours.

Notice that interesting layout?  It’s from Freshly Made Sketches and was fun to put together with the Layering Circles Framelits Dies.  The background looked a little too bare for me so I added that trellis image from the Graceful Garden stamp set to finish things off.  Perfect!

Here’s the sketch for you – you might want to give it a try yourself.

Here is the list of products that I used.

Thank you for visiting today and Happy Stamping!

Live with Passion – what a great incentive to keep in mind!  I pulled out the Beautiful You stamp set for today’s card( I hadn’t given it any love in a while).

I still have a few pieces of the Falling in Love Designer series paper, so added that lovely background piece.  When you want to watercolour I advise that you use our Shimmery White paper as it won’t pill as much and watercoloring is what I wanted to do.

Adding the greeting just so and finishing off with those bright stars makes this card one of my favourites!

Have you ever had the chance to see a beautiful Elk up close in real life?  I have, and they are beautiful for sure.  That is what I tried to capture on today’s card.

I started with the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches and used a piece of Watercolor Paper and Aqua Painters to blend the colours on the Elk.  They have a very distinctive colouring so I felt that it was important to get it as true-to-life as possible.

Here’s the sketch for you.

This card would be great to give to the man in your life – BUT – I have a female friend who loves the outdoors so it would be great for her as well.

I used several different colours of ink so here is the list of products for you.

I hope this card inspires you to get out your Aqua Painters and try watercolouring yourself.  Happy Stamping!

Happy Monday and Golden Birthday Wishes if you or someone you love is celebrating today.

I pulled the colour combination from Pals Paper Arts.  We’re to use Pink Pirouette, Pear Pizzazz and Gold.

One of the easiest ways to watercolour without going out of the lines is to heat emboss your image onto Shimmery White card stock(or watercolour paper).  I did just that using Gold Emboss Powder and then Aqua Painters to colour in the pink and green.

I’m working on the May edition of my monthly newsletter and it will be going out this week.  If you haven’t signed up yet the box is at the top left side of this blog.  I make sure to pack them full of projects for you to try and I’m sure that you will enjoy receiving them to your inbox every month!
