ONE AMAZING KID

I love my grandchildren to pieces and so created a card that sends out the perfect thought!

All it took was two stamp sets and some of the bright and fun Dinoroar designer series paper!  Also, The Paper Players posted the perfect challenge to inspire me to get my thoughts onto some cardstock!

Here’s the list of products that I used.

MAKE A CUTE TREAT BOX

Did you know that the Parcels & Petals bundle has a great die that will make a really cute treat box?  I combined that bundle with the Dino Days Bundle to create this bright and simple treat box.

I love those dinosaur images and the matching Dinoroar designer paper!  This box was easy to put together and there are a few videos on YouTube that will help you.

Once the recipient has removed the band, sweet treat await!

Here’s the supply list for you.

DON’T YOU JUST LOVE DINOSAURS

Dinosaurs are the theme for today!  When I saw the Dino Days Bundle in the new catalogue I just had to have it!  This stamp set with matching dies and designer paper is so much fun to work with!

Isn’t it cute?!  The matching Dino Dies fit perfectly for a nice close cut!  The paper – oh my so many great designs!

After I stamped these cute images I needed a card layout so am following along with the Freshly Made Sketches layout.

As you can see, I used a little artistry to used the palm tree for those strips on the upper left.

GREETINGS FROM MY ANIMAL FRIENDS

Some things stay the same and others change.  That’s what’s going on with todays cute card!

The Animal Outing stamp set is sticking around(yay, ’cause it’s so cute) but not as a bundle.  So, if you want to save 10% then now is the time to purchase the bundle which includes the Animal Friends Thinlits Dies.

I always save the scraps of designer paper so was able to use a piece from the Animal Expedition package for this card.  I also used the New Stitched Nested Labels Dies so we have a little “change” with the “same”!

Here’s the list of products for you.  Remember – you only have until June 3rd to get your picks from the Last Chance Lists!

RED HOT ROD FOR MY GRANDSON

Well, I was disappointed to see that the Geared Up Garage Bundle is going away soon.  It’s a great set so I made good use of it to create this card for my youngest grandson’s birthday.

He’s turning 5 and is crazy about cars!  And what better way to delight him than with this bright red hot rod!  The greeting comes from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set which is also on the Retirement list.

GARAGE IN A BOX

Happy April Fool’s Day!  Today’s post is no joke though!  I had fun creating this Garage in a box for card class tomorrow night.

The request was to make cards for kids and since kids like lots of colour and shapes this card should be perfect!

The Geared up Garage Cling bundle and matching Classic Garage Designer Series Paper Stack was lots of fun to play with! The greeting from Postcard Pals matched really well with the garage theme too!  I found the pattern for this on Splitcoast Stampers at this link and adjusted the measurements so it would fit into our Stampin’ Up! medium envelopes(107301).

LETTERS FOR YOU

I’m taking a turn to a different kind of card today – this one uses the Letters for You photopolymer stamp set to create a card for kids.

I love it and also used a fun technique on it as well.  Did you know that you can emboss with framelits?  Well, with special layering you can!  Start with the Big Shot platform (no tabs), add a Standard cutting pad, a cardstock shim and then the Silicone rubber sheet.  Then lay your card layer down and add the framelits (cutting side up).  Layer another Standard cutting pad over top, add another cardstock shim and run it all through the Big Shot.  Presto – you have just embossed with a framelit!  (Click on the picture to see the background).

You can check out all of the Big Shot accessories I used in my Online Store.

I used bright colours to play along with The Paper Players Colour Challenge this week.

Here’s the list of all of the products that I used.

I hope you are inspired to give this Embossing with Framelits technique a try, it adds that little extra pop to your project!
