BLUE BIRDS OF FRIENDSHIP

Today’s card is all about blue birds and friendship.  I pulled out the beautiful Free As A Bird cling stamp set, some Stampin’ Blends, a piece of the lovely Bird Ballad designer series paper and went to work.

Aren’t they just the cutest birds ever?!  They are so easy to colour a look great sitting on that branch!

The colours I used come from this week’s colour challenge from The Paper Players,

so I used a piece of the 1/8″ Blueberry Bushel grosgrain ribbon to finish it off.

THINKING OF YOU

Sometimes you just need to send a thinking of you card off to someone who needs to hear from you.  Today’s card should make that person happy!

It’s a study in soft blues with the combination of the new InColour Seaside Spray and an “old” InColour of Blueberry Bushel.

I downloaded the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches this week for the layout inspiration and pulled out Woven Heirlooms and Butterfly Gala for the focal points.

The butterflies were stamped onto a scrap piece of Woven Threads designer paper and then cut out with the matching punch.  I used the very handy Take Your Pick tool to place them just so on the card.  Make sure to check out this tool, it has many uses!

SIMPLY BEAUTIFUL

Good morning!  Since the Band Together Bundle was sitting on my crafting table I just couldn’t resist creating another simply beautiful card.

This time, I paired it up with the Heirloom Frames dies and 3D embossing folders with a touch of the beautiful Woven Threads designer series paper.  I love the combo of blue and terracotta tile!  The flower was coloured with a combination of Calypso Coral and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends.

THE DEFINITION OF CHEERFUL

This Tuesday card is the definition of cheerful with it’s bright colours!

I had fun making a mess with the Stampin’ Up! Pigment Sprinkles for sure!  There is an assortment of colours to choose from and I went for Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody and Gorgeous Grape for this one!  They were are sprinkled onto Shimmery White cardstock and then I used the Stampin’ Spritzer to really bring on the colours!  Messy for sure, so make sure to cover your work surface with a layer of paper towels!!

The simple card layout comes from CAS(E) this sketch which is perfect for showing off those cheerful colours.

I love the Praiseworthy Prose bundle with it’s large selection of letter dies and perfect greetings!  Check it out in the product list below.

FOR A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY

There’s nothing like the happiness of daisies to celebrate a special birthday and today’s card highlights that happy bloom.

I added a little help with two more stamp sets, the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle for the leaves and Special Celebrations for the birthday greeting!  I’m playing along with The Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge for this card.

I added the wood look by using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing folder and, to bring out the grain in the wood, added a little Crumb Cake ink and lightly sponged it over the design.

To get the leaves, I stamped the large magnolia image onto Old Olive cardstock and then cut them out.  They were placed on the back of the layered daisy using Mini Glue dots.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA

Today, Canada is celebrating it’s 152nd birthday!  Happy Canada day to my fellow Canadians!

I wanted the background to look like fireworks so brought out the new Pigment Sprinkles and a Stampin’ Spritzer!  Looks like fireworks to me!

The maple leaves were heat embossed with White and then cut out with the Seasonal Layers dies and I love that greeting from Praiseworthy Prose!

The layout for this celebratory card comes from Freshly Made Sketches, which made it easy to put this whole card together!

ALL LINED UP AND CHECK OUT THE CLEARANCE RACK

Hi and welcome to this all lined up card for today.  I pulled out the A Little Lace Cling stamp set as well as Varied Vases for this pretty card.

It took a little time to measure the top piece so it would fit properly but it was worth it!  Before cutting the strips, I stamped two images from the A Little Lace set and then used the Word Wishes dies to cut the “happy” in Calypso Coral.  Varied Vases had the right font and greeting size for the birthday wishes greeting.

I’m playing along with the SUO Challenge(Stampin’ Up! only) for this card – we are to create a project that celebrates birthdays.

FRIENDSHIP DEFINED

Have you ever wondered what the true meaning of friendship is?  Wonder no more – the Praiseworthy Prose Cling stamp set can help by adding the definition and I used it for today’s card!

Of course, when one is thinking of a friend, why not add some beautiful flowers!  I had these magnolias stamped and waiting for some ink, so coloured them with our Stampin’ Blends and placed them just so.  There was also a piece of “lace” sitting on my table and I decided that it would be the perfect backdrop for that lovely greeting!  I really love the purple theme on this card!
