MY GUY CARD

Hi – welcome to my version of a “guy” card for today!

Not all masculine cards need to be the darker colours so I started off with a card base of Balmy Blue and went from there!  I’ve been playing with the Many Medallions Dies(153584) a lot lately and decided to use it with the Brushed Metallic cardstock.  Glad I did because it turned out beautifully!  TIP:  You might want to use a cardstock shim when cutting out the metallic paper to make it easier to get rid of all of those tiny pieces!

There were a few stamped pieces from the Forever Fern Bundle in my UFP(unfinished projects) container, so I pulled them out to use and “borrowed” the sentiment from Tasteful Touches(152562).

This is my submission of a masculine-themed card to play along with one of my favourite challenge sites, The Paper Players.

A RELAXING DAY FOR DAD

Father’s day is coming up soon, so I pulled out the A Good Man stamp set to create today’s card.  It has the perfect images to honour Dad!

I was trying to find a way to play along with The Paper Players Sunshine and Rainbows theme challenge and decided to go with the sunshine part.  After colouring that very relaxed Dad, I added the bright sun from the Waterfront stamp set(146386).

To add a little more sunshine, I used a piece of the 2020-2022 InColour designer paper to backup the image.  Works for me!

Here’s the image from The Paper Players that I was working with.

I used quite a few Stampin’ Blends and they show up in the list below.

THE OLD BLUE TRUCK

The old blue truck may seem like a strange thing to show on Mother’s Day, but I am remembering the blue truck that my husband and I had when we first got married!

I figure that since it is Mother’s Day, I can post anything I want, right?  This old truck took us many miles and our daughters shared the space with us when they were very little!

This card was the idea that bloomed when I saw the new Freshly Made Sketches layout.

My thought was, YAY, I can use the Garage Gears dies(148521) that pairs really well with the Pedal to the Metal stamp set(151591)!

Here’s the product list for you.  Don’t forget that some of these items are going away by June2, 2020, so get them before they’re gone!

WHAT MAKES ME HAPPY?

What makes me happy?  Well many things, but today I’m focussing on our great son-in-law!  His birthday is coming up this month and he’s a wonderful family man, so here is his card!

The A Good Man stamp set(149270) is the perfect choice with perfect sentiments for this great guy and plays along with The Paper Players challenge.

TO A GREAT GUY

Welcome to you, thank you for stopping by!  Today’s card was created for my nephew-in-law (is that a word?).  He is an avid dirt biker so it just seemed appropriate to use the Pedal To The Metal stamp set(151591)!

This cute set is going away soon, so I had to use it one more time!

I was trying to create the illusion of speed with the lighter line-up of bikes.  The main bike was coloured with Stampin’ Blends and then cut out to layer it over top.  It’s cute and I’m pretty sure that my nephew will like it.

TRAVEL THE COUNTRY ROAD

Hi, today’s card is much more detailed than yesterday’s and uses a stamp set that I haven’t used much!  The Country Road(151356) set is a beauty for the outdoor lover as well as all things country!

As you can see, a lot of detail went into this card and I just love the way it all turned out!  From the copper star to the bit of honeycomb behind the weathervane, it just calls country, don’t you think?

TIP:  If you want to add a little colour the the Pearl Basic Jewels, just use a Stamping’ Blend!  I used the Bronze Blend to colour the pearls on this card.

Here’s the very long product list for you.

THE BEST CATCH EVER

Hi there and thank you for visiting today!  I’m going to finish off the week with the Best Catch Ever.  Hint: it’s all about fishing.

There’s nothing more exciting that having “the one” on your line after a long day at the lake!  This was created with the Best Catch and Waterfront stamp sets to follow along with the new Freshly Made Sketches layout.

I used the “water” stamp from Waterfront for the background to play into the “scribble in the background of the sketch and the rest just came together.

Note: I do not yet have the matching dies for Best Catch, so fussy-cut the fish.

In a snowy and cold area, it’s nice to think back to days fishing at the lake, isn’t it?  Have a great weekend and Happy Stamping!

TAKE ME HOME COUNTRY ROAD

Take me home country road – there’s a song about that isn’t there?

The Country Road stamp set is perfectly themed for the country lover and I couldn’t resist creating this card with it.

I matched it up with the lovely green tones in the Garden Lane designer series paper and followed along with this CAS(E) this sketch layout.

I choose to use Mossy Meadow as the feature green to frame the wind vane and for the sentiment piece as well.

TIP:  With it’s shades of green the Garden Lane DSP will make a very pretty Christmas card too!

THE BEST DAD IN THE WORLD

Hello and welcome!  I’ve been thinking of my Dad a lot lately (we lost him a few years ago) and was inspired to create this card.

I pulled out the simple A Good Man cling stamp set for this and, to follow along with The Paper Players challenge, kept it clean and simple.  My Dad was a tall man, 6’6″ so whenever he picked me up I felt that I could see for miles!  And, yes, I once had red hair, lol.

Here’s the list of products used.  It’s a long one as I used many different colours of Stampin’ Blend Markers.

RELAX YOUR WAY

Hi and welcome!  When I make my shopping list for the new catalogue, I always try to include stamp sets to cover all seasons, events and types of projects.  So today’s Relax Your Way card is a great idea for the men in our lives.

This was created with the A Good Man Cling stamp set and is not just for Father’s Day.  This could be used for a birthday or a “just because” greeting!

I know that the 3D Dynamic Embossing folders aren’t available to purchase yet, but I couldn’t resist added a little texture with the Pinewood Planks folder!(I’ll let you know when they are finally available).  The piece of designer paper(Perennial Essence DSP) was adhered first and then I ran the whole thing through my embossing machine.

Here’s the list of products used.  Just click on any of the pictures to go directly to my Online Store.
