ONE RED ROSE

Hello there!  The days are counting down to Christmas but I decided to feature this one red rose that’s destined for someone over this holidays.

I love the drama of the black and silver backgrounds – they highlight that rose perfectly!  It’s a simple layout compliments CAS(E) this sketch!  Check it out.

The silver glimmer lattice was sitting on my crafting table from a previous project, so I used it as a lovely angled background.  Love it!

AT PEACE BY THE RIVER

Happy Friday and welcome!  Today’s card features the beautiful Peaceful Place stamp set that’s available in Clear-mount and Wood-mount.  One of the stamps features a lovely, peaceful scene so I went all-in and did a little colouring.

It didn’t take much to add colour using our Stampin’ Blends markers and a touch or two of the Colour Lifter gave it just the right amount of shading.

I choose to use Old Olive as the card base and frame to play along with the new layout from Freshly Made Sketches.

I have another stamp set in mind for this layout as well and will be posting it next week!

In the meantime, here’s the list of products for you.

FLOWERS IN WINTER

Even though it is not officially winter yet – this pretty display of flowers bring a little brightness to our “unofficial” winter!

Sometimes one needs a special card to send during the Christmas season and I feel that this one will bring exactly the right amount of brightness to the recipient!

I started by using the new Freshly Made Sketches layout,

and went from there.  Those lovely flowers were coloured with our fabulous Stampin’ Blends, love them!

Before I give you the list of products used – check out the Stampin’ Up! ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA – 10% off sounds good about now don’t you think?  Today and tomorrow you can stock up on Paper & Embellishments at 10% off!

Here’s the list for today’s card.

Take care and have a great weekend!

THREE IN A ROW

A big welcome to you!  What would you put in these three jugs?  I wasn’t sure so just left them as they are.

They were coloured with our fabulous Stampin’ Blends (Smokey Slate combo) and touched up with a little of the Frost White Shimmer Paint that is in the Holiday Catalogue (page38 bottom left).  I used a tiny piece of a Stampin’ Sponge to add it.

The layout for this card follows along with the Freshly Made Sketches layout for this week.

Those greeting tabs were attached using the new and fun Galvanized Clips and finished off with a small bow.  Love It!

LOVELY BOUQUET

Hello and I hope that you had a great weekend!  We enjoyed beautiful fall weather although it was a little chilly in the mornings.  Fall is definitely here in northeastern BC!

Today’s lovely bouquet was created with the Country Home stamp set and the Galvanized Metallic Paper in the suite.

Freshly Made Sketches posted a great card layout to follow.

I found it a little challenging at first but finally got an idea “percolating”.  Our Stampin’ Write Markers were used to colour the bouquet by carefully combining colours to highlight the lovely fall colours that are abundant in my yard.

YOU ARE THE HAPPY TO MY DAY

Hello and I hope that you are having a happy day!  I’m enjoying mine because I was playing with the beautiful Country Home stamp set again!

I didn’t get the deep emboss on another card that I wanted with the Galvanized Metal paper so used that piece for the tank.  All I did was stamp the image onto the paper using Jet Black Stazon in and then cut it out.

The CAS(E) this sketch layout was perfect for this idea and if you click on the picture you will see that I also used a bit of the Chicken Wire Elements over top of that piece of designer paper.

COUNTRY HOME SUITE

Hello from cold and a little snowy northeastern BC.  We were hit with a very early snowfall, even for here, so creating this card with the Country Lane Suite(page 43) helped to cheer me up!

I love everything about the Country Lane suite but my favourites by far have to be the Galvanized Metallic paper and the Tin Tile Dynamic Embossing folder! TIP: When using this embossing folder, fold down the tab labelled “1” for a deeper image!

I was looking for a new card layout challenge and found the TGIF challenges blog for this layout.

I was just about to put everything together on the card and, by happy accident, found that the filigree die from the Flourish Thinlits die matches the design in the Tin Tile Embossing folder!  Yay!

ARE THESE THE COLOURS OF FALL?

A question for you – would you call the colours of the flowers in today’s card fall colours?

I hope so because that was what I was thinking while playing along with The Paper Players Colour Challenge.  Who says that Blackberry Bliss, Mint Macaron, Crumb Cake and my choice, Mango Melody can’t be fall colours!

I used my go-to set, Oh, So Eclectic and matching dies to build that pretty bunch of fall flowers.  Seems that when I want to create flowers, that is the set that calls to me!

While we’re talking The Paper Players,  I was delighted to be chosen as one of the “Cut Above” on last week’s challenge.  These are the cuties that I posted.

AUTUMN HARVEST

I’m going from Christmas back to autumn with today’s card!  Just for the record, it’s definitely autumn up here in northeastern BC.  There’s a chill in the air and the leaves are turning colour!

I purchased the Falling For Leaves bundle from the Holiday catalogue an decided that it needed to be used so I could play along with the CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

It’s a simple but great layout which leaves many options.

That large leaf can be a bit of a challenge but I put the Stamparatus to work and stamped it first with Cajun Craze ink and then again with Versamark.  Then it was just a matter of sprinkling some Clear Emboss powder over it and setting it with the Heat Tool.  I decided to add a little colour so used the ink pads listed below and an Aqua Painter for that.

Here’s the list of products.

OH SO ECLECTIC STAMP SET FROM STAMPIN’ UP!

I’m finding that the Oh, So Eclectic stamp set and matching Thinlits are becoming a “go to” for me lately!  I really love the flower images and coloured a few for today’s card.

Of course I was inspired by the new challenge from What Will You Stamp(use the Oh, So Eclectic stamp set) as well as the layout from Freshly Made Sketches!

This layout shows a square card so I made mine a 4-1/2″ square.  I used the Shaded Spruce and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends to colour the flowers and stamped the leaves in Shaded Spruce ink.  Then it was easy to cut them out with the matching thinlits!  A few strategically placed pearls and we’re all set!
