A LITTLE MANGO, A LITTLE MINT

I was playing around with the Seasonal Wreaths Cling stamp set on the weekend and came up with this Mango and Mint combination!

The first thing I did was to draw a light pencil line around the second largest Layering Circle die!  This was my guide the stamping the flower flourish in the shape of a wreath.  Once the stamping was done, a White Eraser was used to get rid of the pencil line.  TIP:  It’s very important to use a White Eraser as it won’t leave marks.

Then it was just a matter of colouring with our Stampin’ Blends!  I really like the combination of Mango Melody and Mint Macaron with just a touch of Mossy Meadow.  Then I decided to fussy-cut the wreath as I didn’t like the extra white edges.

A STUDY IN BLUE FLORALS

Happy Wednesday to you and welcome to today’s blue-themed post! I had seen a card that carried a blue and brown theme so decided to give it a try myself.

This is what I came up with!  I used the Floral Essence Bundle with it’s matching flower punch and did some “fussy cutting” as well.  The Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper is beautiful and this piece is the perfect subtle background!

NOTE:  Stampin’ Up! is giving our Demonstrator Websites an upgrade so it may take a while to check it out today.

FLORAL ESSENCE BUNDLE

Welcome to September and today’s card created with the Floral Essence Bundle!

Sometimes one just needs an idea to get started so I cased(Copy and Share Everything) this card from page 107 of the Annual Catalogue.

Vellum was the starting point and I’ve been excited to try out the Shimmer Stampin’ Emboss Powder so just had to use it for those pretty blooms!. The matching Perennial Flower punch is a great tool and helped with the top flower.  Paper Snips cut out the background bloom.

DOUBLE THE HAPPINESS

Hi and welcome!  Today’s card features the Varied Vases Photopolymer stamp set and matching Vases Builder Punch.

It is so sweet with those trailing blooms and I’m sure will be received with delight!  To get those flowers and vases placed just right, I used a post-it note to cover the designer paper while stamping the flower images.

I followed along with the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge for the layout which worked perfectly with my idea.

HIDDEN FLOWERS

Today’s card uses the Parcels & Petals Bundle again!  It’s so easy to use and I created this pretty card with it.

I was checking out Pinterest and found a card that used a die to create an interesting edge so tried it myself.  The Seasonal Layers dies have a great scalloped piece and that it was I used to make two separate layers for the card front.

The flower image was stamped onto Whisper White with Highland Heather Ink.  Then I added more by “stamping off” so the other blooms would be a softer colour.

Then it was just a matter of picking the perfect greeting and putting the card together.  I used a lot of Stampin’ Dimensionals and the Grid Paper for placement of the pieces.

HELLO THERE

Well hello and welcome!  I felt that his Monday needed some bright flowers so I pulled out the Band Together Bundle and the Pressed Petals Specialty designer paper and got to work.

In case you haven’t noticed, I really enjoy colouring with our fabulous Stampin’ Blends and chose Lovely Lipstick for those bright flowers.  The dies that go with the Band Together set include shapes for leaves so I cut out quite a few to add to those blooms.

There’s a little bit of everything on today’s card and it’s all listed below for you.

BLUE BIRDS OF FRIENDSHIP

Today’s card is all about blue birds and friendship.  I pulled out the beautiful Free As A Bird cling stamp set, some Stampin’ Blends, a piece of the lovely Bird Ballad designer series paper and went to work.

Aren’t they just the cutest birds ever?!  They are so easy to colour a look great sitting on that branch!

The colours I used come from this week’s colour challenge from The Paper Players,

so I used a piece of the 1/8″ Blueberry Bushel grosgrain ribbon to finish it off.

YOU ARE AMAZING

Hi there and thank you for stopping in for a visit.  I went to an Aqua Painter for today’s amazing card.

The Band Together Bundle supplied those bright flowers and leaves.  It has some amazing greetings as well and I’ll probably be using them a lot on projects.

The flowers and leaves were coloured with Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green and I used the matching Stampin’ Write Markers to add the extra shading.

TIP 1:  To watercolour, I recommend starting with Shimmery White cardstock.  It holds the colour better and doesn’t “pill”.

TIP 2:  The Tear & Tape adhesive is great for adhering a “heavy” piece to your card base.

THINKING OF YOU

Sometimes you just need to send a thinking of you card off to someone who needs to hear from you.  Today’s card should make that person happy!

It’s a study in soft blues with the combination of the new InColour Seaside Spray and an “old” InColour of Blueberry Bushel.

I downloaded the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches this week for the layout inspiration and pulled out Woven Heirlooms and Butterfly Gala for the focal points.

The butterflies were stamped onto a scrap piece of Woven Threads designer paper and then cut out with the matching punch.  I used the very handy Take Your Pick tool to place them just so on the card.  Make sure to check out this tool, it has many uses!

Here’s the list of products for you.
