CELEBRATING A BEAUTIFUL SUNFLOWER

Good day to you and welcome!  Today’s card features the beautiful sunflower from the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle(154065).

Whenever I think of beautiful flowers, I keep going back to this stamp set.  Besides being beautiful this flower is a great way to hone up on my colouring skills!

I had a lot of fun colouring and cutting and really like the blend of colours in the sunflower.  The metallic sprays sitting on a background of Cinnamon Cider for the card base with just a touch of the Gilded Autumn Special designer paper finishes it off nicely.

THE STARS HAVE IT

I’m going to end this week with a tribute to the stars in our life – our grandkids!  They are truly stars to us any day of the year!

Our two eldest grandkids are always available to come out and help with yard work so this star-laden card is for them!  I’m playing along with the newest Freshly Made Sketches layout and decided to move out of the circle to use the Stitched Stars dies(150653) and had a cutting fine time!

There was a lot of gluing going on too!  The Fine-Tip Glue Pen for all of the small stars and our Multipurpose Liquid Glue for the gold foil star.

JUST SAYING HELLO

Hello to you on this Thursday!  I’m excited to share a card that I created with the Tasteful Touches stamp set(152562)!

This set does not have matching dies, so fussy-cutting was in order.  I also used the “Masking Technique” to make sure that those beautiful images really pop!  All you need to do for this technique is stamp the main image that you are using onto a post-it note and cut it out.  So, I stamped the flower image first, then covered it with the post-it note(the mask) and then stamped the sprays over top.  When you remove the mask, you have this lovely image left.

I’m playing along with The Paper Players for this,

and one of the items to use was glitter – so I added that with the Shimmery Crystal Effects pen(150892).  Then, for good measure added the mat of Brushed Metallic cardstock.

Here’s the list of products used.  You’ll see that I included the Heat Tool – it was used to set the crystal effects.

HAPPY DAY FLOWERS

Welcome!  I hope that this day brings you happiness and good feelings!  Today’s card is intended to do just that with it’s bright bouquet of flowers!

I went to the Jar of Flowers Bundle(154064) for this and added a few extra details for a little more pop.  There is a tiny stamp in the Jar of Flowers set that is intended to be the lid for that jar.  So, I heat embossed it with Gold Emboss Powder and wrapped it with a tiny length of the gold twine from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo pack(152475).

The greeting comes from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set(151331) which, in my opinion, is a great addition to any stamp collection!

DINO DAYS FUN

Hi on this Sunday morning!  I thought it was time for a little dinosaur fun which was what inspired today’s card.

Aren’t they cute?  I did some “stamping off” for the tree trunk and the branches to give a little dimension.  This was my second attempt at a card to play along with the new Freshly Made Sketches layout.  The first had too much white space so I decided to use the Dino Days stamp set(149406) and matching Dino Dies(149636) so I could add more interest.

Here’s the sketch that I followed.

MY GUY CARD

Hi – welcome to my version of a “guy” card for today!

Not all masculine cards need to be the darker colours so I started off with a card base of Balmy Blue and went from there!  I’ve been playing with the Many Medallions Dies(153584) a lot lately and decided to use it with the Brushed Metallic cardstock.  Glad I did because it turned out beautifully!  TIP:  You might want to use a cardstock shim when cutting out the metallic paper to make it easier to get rid of all of those tiny pieces!

There were a few stamped pieces from the Forever Fern Bundle in my UFP(unfinished projects) container, so I pulled them out to use and “borrowed” the sentiment from Tasteful Touches(152562).

This is my submission of a masculine-themed card to play along with one of my favourite challenge sites, The Paper Players.

IT’S AUTUMN HARVEST TIME

Many of our hard working farmers are bringing in their harvest so let’s send a great harvest blessing to them!

I created today’s card with that in mind!

And, this was the perfect opportunity to use a pattern from the Plaid Tidings designer paper pack(153527) too!  I love the colours in this piece and it worked out well with the already coloured image!  Make sure to check this paper out as it has colours that will work with every season.

I used a bit of Wink of Stella to colour those pussy willows so they would shine just a bit.

IN THE COUNTRY

As we live out in the country, we can really see that the leaves are starting to turn colour.  It’s waaaay too soon in my mind, but nature rules so there you go!  I do love the rich colours of fall and that is what I’m trying to show on today’s card.

It took 2 stamp sets to get it done – Country Home(147678) and the Forever Fern Bundle(154094)!  I first stamped the leaf images with Crushed Curry ink and then used a Stampin’ Sponge to dab on a little Cajun Craze so they would look as authentic as possible.  The new Brushed Metallic cardstock(153524) is beautiful to I used it to stamp the jug.  TIP:  stamp straight down, being careful not to “wiggle” the stamp as that paper is a little slippery.  I did use the Heat Tool to help it set the ink before cutting out the image.

KNOW THAT YOU ARE LOVED

Love is the word for these difficult times!  So it’s important to let the ones in our lives know that!  How about saying it with a pretty card!

I choose to use this card to express my feelings and kept it pretty simple so the message will stand out!

Those lovely sunflowers were heat embossed with Gold Emboss powder and so was that loving greeting!  The background paper is from the Gilded Autumn Specialty designer pack and was where I got the golden idea.

This lovely layout comes from Freshly Made Sketches!

ALL FOR YOU

Hi and welcome!  Today’s card features the Free As A Bird stamp set(149468) with a little love note for you.

I started off with a card base of Magenta Madness for a big pop of colour and then did a little colouring with our Stampin’ Blends for those sweet birds on a branch.

This layout came from the newest CAS(E) this sketch challenge and those birds made it easy to follow along.

I needed the right sentiment so used the Love You More Than dies(152698) – perfect!
