HOORAY FOR YOU

I’m going to an all occasion card for today.  So I used the Quite Curvy Bundle(156228)!  One still needs to keep their “other” card stash ready to go after all!

As you can see, it is quite clean so those pretty little birds could take centre stage!  I used the “stamping off” technique to give them a bit of background to sit on.  My complimentary colour of choice is Mango Melody to add that pop!

I followed along with the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge for this clean layout.

Here’s the list of products used.  Just click on the picture to go directly to my Online Store.

I hope that these little birds bring a smile to your face and encourage you to go get some stamping done!

Happy day to you!

IT TAKES A VILLAGE

It took a village – of 3 stamp sets, lol to create today’s card.  And… a little water colouring too!

There’s nothing like a bright, pretty card to put a smile on one’s face!  I took the combination of colours from a stamping group that I follow on Facebook and went to work.  Those pretty blue flowers are from the Forever Blossoms stamp set(151457) and the matching Cherry Blossom dies(151456).

They were first stamped with Pacific Point ink and then I took a Water Painter and pulled the colour into the middle of each flower. TIP:  It’s best to use Shimmery White cardstock as it doesn’t pill.

Then, out came the Forever Fern Bundle(154094) stamped with Shaded Spruce and Crushed Curry Ink.  Next, for the sentiment, Many Mates stamp set(152633).

CELEBRATING A BEAUTIFUL SUNFLOWER

Good day to you and welcome!  Today’s card features the beautiful sunflower from the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle(154065).

Whenever I think of beautiful flowers, I keep going back to this stamp set.  Besides being beautiful this flower is a great way to hone up on my colouring skills!

I had a lot of fun colouring and cutting and really like the blend of colours in the sunflower.  The metallic sprays sitting on a background of Cinnamon Cider for the card base with just a touch of the Gilded Autumn Special designer paper finishes it off nicely.

KNOW THAT YOU ARE LOVED

Love is the word for these difficult times!  So it’s important to let the ones in our lives know that!  How about saying it with a pretty card!

I choose to use this card to express my feelings and kept it pretty simple so the message will stand out!

Those lovely sunflowers were heat embossed with Gold Emboss powder and so was that loving greeting!  The background paper is from the Gilded Autumn Specialty designer pack and was where I got the golden idea.

This lovely layout comes from Freshly Made Sketches!

I’m just going to let this sentiment be the greeting for this weekend.  Happy Stamping!

LATTICE CONGRATULATE YOU

A little play on words there for today’s card.  I played with the Many Medallions dies(153584) for this one!

This die is a bit of a challenge to cut out, but it’s so very worth it in the end!  I decided to back it with a piece from the In Good Taste designer paper to add just a touch of design.  The layered blooms look like they are climbing a lattice and were stamped with the Forever Blossoms stamp set and matching Cherry Blossom dies.  My new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine got a good workout, lol!

The colour combination was taken from the new challenge from The Paper Players.

TODAY IS YOUR DAY

Friday is here and if you’re celebrating, today is all about you!  I haven’t used the Free As A Bird(149468) stamp set in a while so pulled it out for this card!

I used one of the patterns in the Forever Gold Laser-cut specialty paper and it is really hard to get a good picture of it.  So, I moved it to another room with lots of sunlight!

This layout comes from The Paper Players challenge for this week and the gold piece worked perfectly for this sketch.

A special greeting was called for, so I added one from the Many Mates stamp set(152633).  It has many great sentiments, so make sure to check it out.

CELEBRATE WONDERFUL

Happy Monday and welcome!  Today’s card features the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle(154065) done up in shades of blue.

I found a card like this on Instagram done by one of our Stampin’ Up! Artisans and was really taken with the technique that she used.

The first step was to sponge the colour, Misty Moonlight, onto a piece of cardstock and then overstamp with the sunflower image.  Then, she heat embossed with Clear Emboss powder and cut it out with the flower outline die.  Then, the actual petal outline die(can’t think of another way to describe it) was used and adhered to the top with our Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  Voila, a wonderful and beautiful blue sunflower!

SUNNY DAYS ARE HERE

The days have been sunny and warm lately which inspired me to colour some sunflowers!

The Jar of Flowers Bundle(154064) fits the bill very nicely!  There’s 4 lovely bundle of flowers to choose from for some relaxing colouring!  And… a little fussy cutting too.  I love the Jar Punch and frequently use it with Vellum Cardstock so you can see the stems inside.

SIMPLY THE BEST

Hi and welcome!  Today, I’m playing with the Tasteful Touches Bundle for a clean and simple card.

The combination of the Tasteful Touches stamp set and matching Tasteful Labels dies makes it easy to create a lovely card!  (Get 10% off by purchasing the Bundle)  Since the dies focus on labels only, fussy-cutting is needed for those pretty flowers done in the new InColour, Bumblebee.  Of course, I had to use it’s partner Just Jade for the sentiment and amped it up with an overlay of Versamark and Clear Emboss powder!

The card layout is courtesy of the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

BLOOMS AND BUTTERFLIES

We’ve had a lot of rain lately but it has helped our flower garden to bloom!  It kept the butterflies away but the sun is out now with a forecast of great weather to come.  So, today’s card must feature blooms and butterflies don’t you think?

Actually, the butterflies were a “last minute” idea but I think they work really well.  The spray of blooms and leaves was coloured with our Stampin’ Blends(I love them!) and then cut out with the  Budding Blooms dies(149548).

Have you ever thought about becoming a Stampin’ Up!
