THE PINES

I’m adding one more Christmas card to my pile today!  This one uses the In The Pines stamp set(153448) framed in garden green.

Since these are a two-step stamping collection, I took advantage and used both Garden Green and Pretty Peacock ink to fill in that lovely grove of trees.  If you look really closely, you will see some tiny snowflakes falling gently on the trees.

I was inspired to use this layout from the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

My panel doesn’t have as many sections, but I really like the way it turned out!

NO STAMPING TODAY

Today’s card is a “no stamping” card!  Sometimes you just need to  use dies to get the inspiration going!

I started off by using the largest snowflake dies from the So Many Snowflakes dies(153560) and then added the word “peace” from the Joy Dies(153530).  It needed a back-up so I added a piece of Pacific Point cardstock to add some colour.

I’m hoping that this will go along for the CAS(E) this sketch challenge this week.

I just couldn’t leave a big, blank spot and that is why that lovely large snowflake!

Here’s the list of products used.  NOTE:  I like to use our Multipurpose Liquid Glue for the smaller pieces.

COLD MOMENTS – WARM HEART

Hello there and welcome!  We’ve been experiencing colder temperatures here so that inspired me to pull out the Snowflake Wishes Bundle(155172)!  Today’s card will be sending out warm wishes from the heart!

I found out the hard way, lol that the beautiful label die in this bundle does not cut the label but cuts it out in the middle of your paper.  So, I trimmed it down and used it as a frame for that lovely warm greeting!  The Winter Snow Embossing Folder(153577) gives that lovely snowy texture which helps to enhance the greeting as well.

IN THE PINES BUNDLE

Hi and welcome!  Today’s card features the In The Pines Bundle and a fun (but messy) technique!

This In The Pines stamp set is a “2-step” stamping set and I wanted the trees to have snow on them!  So, I used the 2nd step image and heat embossed it with White Emboss Powder.  Then added the Garden Green ink after.  The messy part is that the ink stays wet – but a quick blast from the Heat Tool helps to set it so you don’t get it all over your fingers!

The background designer paper design in from the “Tis the Season pack(153489) and you can save 15% when you purchase it this month.

I pulled the new sketch layout from Freshly Made Sketches and used it as a starting point.

This is a simple card that delivers a bright Christmas greeting, especially with the touch of red ribbon!

STILL SCENES AND SNOWFLAKES

The weather is chilly here so I played with some snowflakes and the Still Scenes stamp set(150503) and matching Snow Globe Scenes dies(150655).

Did you notice the background papers?  They are a returning favourite from last year, Feels Like Frost Specialty designer paper(150444).  This paper is the reason for the sentiment in the globe!

I’m playing along with the new CAS(E) this sketch layout but changed the placement of the sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes bundle.

A trio of snowflakes done in Silver Emboss powder adds the final touch.

THE SEASON OF SPARKLE IS COMING

Ok, with the chilly weather setting in I couldn’t help but create a card with sparkly snowflakes!  And……today being the 25th means that Christmas is only 3 months away!

I pulled out the retired Silver Glimmer paper for this because it just seemed right to add that special sparkle.  And that led to using the Silver Emboss Powder for the sparkly greeting along with a beautiful design from the Snowflake Splendor designer paper(153512).

The layout came about because of the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Here’s the list of products used.  Note, the silver glimmer paper is not listed.

RIDE THIS JOYFUL SLEIGH

The weather has turned a little chilly up here, which led me to the Warm & Toasty stamp set(152615) with it’s oh-so cute critters.  These little bunnies are singing joyfully in their tiny sleigh!

I’m really enjoying using the Joy Dies(153530) – they make it easy to add a mat to those words.  In order to play along with the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge I needed to separate the letters so they would line up along the edge.  Love it!

I would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You to the design team at CAS(E) this sketch for picking this card as one of the favourites last week!

Here’s a close look at the Joy dies,

you can see the “extra” dies that will give you those layers that help to accent the words!

PEACEFUL BOUGHS 2020

Our weather is definitely changing to fall here in northeastern BC!  Each day is showing the changing leaves which says that winter is close behind!  So, today’s card is for Christmas 2020 with the Peaceful Boughs stamp set(150541).  This set also has matching dies(Beautiful Boughs) that you can find on page 180 of the annual catalogue.

This set is carried over from last year and I didn’t use it enough so today is the day to showcase it’s loveliness!  I also pulled out the Toile Christmas set for the greeting.

I also wanted to play along with the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge so followed the outline given in the sketch.

FROM THE POLAR BEAR

Hi and welcome!  Today, I’m quoting the Polar Bear with this cute card!

I have been eyeing up that cute little bear and today was the perfect time to introduce him!  He “lives” in the Warm & Toasty stamp set(152615).

This card started out with this great layout from Freshly Made Sketches and went from there.

The Winter Snow Embossing folder was the perfect backdrop for this little cutie and of course, pieces of the Snowflake Splendor designer paper!

A TREE FOR THE SEASON

Hi!  Today’s card is a pretty, seasonal tree from the In The Pines Bundle(155182).

Of course, I used the new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss(149653) machine for all of the embossing and cutting details on this card.

And, it all started with the new Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from The Paper Players.

I actually used an “extra” element with the Snowflake Sequins(150443) ’cause that tree absolutely needed those pretty snowflakes!
