FABULOUS FLOWERS

Happy Monday to you!  I’m starting the week off with some fabulous flowers that are very bright and cheerful!

Yep, they’re bright alright!  I got this inspiration from our flower garden this weekend.  With all of the rain we’ve been getting, not only did the flowers grow but the weeds loved it too!  Once they were taken care of, I was able to see all of my fabulous flowers!

I used the Poppy Moments dies((151594) and added that fabulous greeting from the Many Mates stamp set(152633).  The variegated colour on the greeting was a happy accident achieved by carefully placing the stamp on an angle and easing off on the pressure as it was stamped.  It adds just the right touch!

JUST ONE POPPY

Hi and welcome!  Today’s poppy card comes from a stamping tutorial from Andrea Walford.

I was so very taken with the card that Andrea did and the technique that I just had to try it for myself.  Since I don’t have the Field of Flowers stamp set, I used Painted Poppies(151599) with a little help from Grace’s Garden and Itty Bitty Greetings.

The background mat was coloured with Pool Party ink and a Sponge Brayer to give the ombre effect and then embossed with the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder.

The main image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends.  I played around with the White Craft ink for the “a little hello” greeting.  It is there just very light which means that I have to add more ink to the pad next time!

A VERY SPECIAL DAY

Birthday’s are special and today’s card is so cute and sure to delight someone special in your life!

I just couldn’t help but CASE this card from page 92 of the Annual Catalogue.  It starts with a card base of Purple Posy(2019-2021 InColour) and goes from there.  The critters are just too darn cute for words and cut out easily with the Special Day Dies((153587).

The new Water Painters((151298) are fantastic, come in a package of three with different sized tips, narrow, medium and wide for larger areas.  I used the wide tip to colour the background for those critters.

CELEBRATE WONDERFUL

Happy Monday and welcome!  Today’s card features the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle(154065) done up in shades of blue.

I found a card like this on Instagram done by one of our Stampin’ Up! Artisans and was really taken with the technique that she used.

The first step was to sponge the colour, Misty Moonlight, onto a piece of cardstock and then overstamp with the sunflower image.  Then, she heat embossed with Clear Emboss powder and cut it out with the flower outline die.  Then, the actual petal outline die(can’t think of another way to describe it) was used and adhered to the top with our Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  Voila, a wonderful and beautiful blue sunflower!

LIFE’S GARDEN

Wow, it’s Friday already!  I’m looking forward to doing a little work in my flower garden over the weekend.  We’ve had a ton of rain up here so the weeds have taken off!  Since I’ve been thinking of gardens, I pulled out the Grace’s Garden photopolymer stamp set(151513) and got to work.

This stamp set is full of beautiful images and lends itself very well to colouring.  So a large assortment of Stampin’ Blends to the rescue!  I “cased” this card according to the photo on page 87 of the Annual Catalogue.  The matching Garden Gateway dies(151512) are a must when using this stamp set!

SUCH SWEET GIRLS

I’m feeling a little nostalgic today so am posting this card that I created with the Beautiful Moments stamp set.

I’m calling this Sweet Girls as it reminds me of my daughters who loved to dig and play so a little dirt was part of the game, lol.

I used a combination of Poppy Parade and Balmy Blue and coloured their hair with the So Saffron Blends.  This is another beautiful image from the Beautiful Moments stamp set(151677) and probably my most favourite!

SO VERY BEAUTIFUL

Hi and welcome.  Today is another card showing yet another beautiful image from the Beautiful Moments stamp set(151677).

So very beautiful!  I used a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock that already had the centre cut out and layered a piece of Soft Suede inside it.  That beautiful person was stamped with Stazon Jet Black ink and then soft touches of colour were added with Stampin’ Write Markers.

I choose these colours so I could play along with the latest SUO Challenge.

Sometimes you don’t need much to create a beautiful card.  Thanks for stopping by and happy stamping to you!

FLOWERS AND MEDALLIONS

Good morning to you!  Today’s card features the Many Mates Bundle.   The Many Medallions large die makes for a beautiful background for these bright flowers.

I must say that you will absolutely need the Take Your Pick Die Brush tip(149655) for this die.  There are a lot of tiny pieces in it, but the extra work is worth it!

The Band Together stamp set and matching Detailed Bands dies were my other go to – those flowers are lovely and very easy to colour with our fabulous Stampin’ Blends!

I will be submitting this card to play along with the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  Take a look at the sketch.

BLOOMS AND BUTTERFLIES

We’ve had a lot of rain lately but it has helped our flower garden to bloom!  It kept the butterflies away but the sun is out now with a forecast of great weather to come.  So, today’s card must feature blooms and butterflies don’t you think?

Actually, the butterflies were a “last minute” idea but I think they work really well.  The spray of blooms and leaves was coloured with our Stampin’ Blends(I love them!) and then cut out with the  Budding Blooms dies(149548).

WHEN IN DOUBT CASE THE CATALOGUE

Whenever I am “stuck” as to how to use a new stamp set and dies, I CASE(Copy and Share Everything) the catalogue.  So today’s card is my interpretation of a card in the new 2020-2021 Catalogue(page 43).

This was created using the Many Mates Bundle and those dies are interesting and a little challenging to use.  But, following along with the picture, I was able to get it done!

After cutting out the medallion pattern, I brushed extra colour on by using the Smoky Slate ink pad and then glued it down using the Fine-Tip glue pen.  This card uses quite a few new items, Misty Moonlight 1/2″ twill ribbon, Flowers for every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and the In Good Taste Elements.

Here’s the list of products used.
