AT PEACE BY THE RIVER

Happy Friday and welcome!  Today’s card features the beautiful Peaceful Place stamp set that’s available in Clear-mount and Wood-mount.  One of the stamps features a lovely, peaceful scene so I went all-in and did a little colouring.

It didn’t take much to add colour using our Stampin’ Blends markers and a touch or two of the Colour Lifter gave it just the right amount of shading.

I choose to use Old Olive as the card base and frame to play along with the new layout from Freshly Made Sketches.

I have another stamp set in mind for this layout as well and will be posting it next week!

In the meantime, here’s the list of products for you.

LOVELY BAUBLES TO DECK YOUR HALLS

Welcome to you and thanks so much for stopping by on this wintery Monday!  Today’s card is a study in white and gold to show off the Beautiful Baubles stamp set.

Who wouldn’t want those beautiful baubles decking their halls?!

I started out with the great simple sketch from the Fab Friday challenge and went from there.

The Stamparatus is a fabulous tool to help keep the greeting and image exactly where you want them.  A little wipe with the embossing buddy before stamping helps to keep the embossing powder in the right place!

I also used our Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere those thin stripes of Gold Foil.  It’s tough stuff and dries clear!

Here’s the list of products that I used.

SINCERELY SANTA GOODIE BOX

Have you started your Christmas shopping yet?  I’m a little late this year but have been busy making goodie boxes for small treats!

This one was created using our Lustrous White mini gable boxes but with a different technique.  I used the Sponge Brayer to add colour to the box itself.  This is Cherry Cobbler ink and I choose to leave it a lighter tone so the designer paper would stand out!  Here’s another angle.

TIP:  To keep the colour only on the outside of the box, I slipped a piece of printer paper inside the unopened box before using the brayer to add colour.

Now, i just need to create a few more to hold those special treats!

Here’s the list of products that I used.

THREE LOVELY TREES

The Snowflake Showcase products are soon going away on Friday, November 30, 2018!   So I took this opportunity to create just one more card to show off these three lovely trees with the Snow is Glistening photopolymer stamp set!

Don’t they look great on the background of Soft Sea Foam?  I stamped the tree 3 times, twice with Versamark and once with the Soft Sea Foam ink and then did a little heat embossing.  White emboss powder for the Soft Sea Foam trees and Clear emboss powder for the soft sea foam tree.  So lovely!

I arranged those trees according to The Paper Players sketch

and added some texture to the card front with the Softly Falling  embossing folder.

If you haven’t yet, make sure to get your favourites from the Snowflake Showcase items.

Here’s the full list of products that I used for these three lovely trees!

REINDEER GAMES IN 3D

Welcome to Monday and a dashing deer playing games!  I’m calling this pretty box Reindeer games because what’s going into the box is a Christmas surprise!

A while ago, I purchased a package of Stampin’ Up! Lustrous White Mini Gable boxes and decided that it was high time I used them!

I love the way this guy turned out in all of his copper splendour!  Notice the box itself?  I used the beautiful Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing folder to give it some lustrous depth!  NOTE:  In order to get the deep impression, I used Tab 1 of the Big Shot platform.

Here’s the list of products that I used to create this beautiful box!

POINSETTIA IN VELLUM

Did you know that you can use Thinlits and Framelits dies to stamp an image?  That’s exactly what I did to create this poinsettia in vellum.

Love it!  So, I used a pair of tweezers to hold the thinlit from the Peaceful Poinsettia bundle and carefully pressed it into the Versamark pad.  Then, holding it with the tweezers placed it gently onto the piece of vellum cardstock and pressed it down.  Then it was just a matter of cutting it out.  It’s a great technique and I encourage you to give it a try!

Since I had the embossing tools out, why not emboss the greeting as well!

FROM FAR AWAY FOR CHRISTMAS

Do you live far away from family and friends?  Will you be travelling to spend Christmas with them this year?

This little guy is staying home but sending wishes to his far away family!

Isn’t he a cutie?  I love the images in the Postcard Pals stamp set and did show you another Christmas card I made here.  He was coloured with Stampin’ Blends and then I decided to use the Festive Farmhouse plaid to act as a frame for his cuteness.  But, where to put the greeting —- a little heat embossing with Black Emboss powder to the rescue!

Here’s the full list of products that I used.

ANGEL ON MY SHOULDER

A happy Monday welcome to you!  Today’s card showcases the lovely little Angel from the Illuminated Christmas stamp set.

She’s so pretty and looks lovely ll by herself!  I used some Stampin’ Blends to colour her and feel that the O, Holy Night sentiment looks just right there!

This simply card layout came from the latest CAS(E) this Sketch challenge and sets off this lovely Angel perfectly!

There are other lovely images in the Illuminated Christmas stamp set(WM 147836CM 147833) and I’ll be sharing a couple later this week.

In the meantime, here’s the list of products used to create this Angel card.

JOY TO YOUR WORLD

Hi from Cynthia’s Creative Corner where the snowflakes are falling both outside and inside!

I was organizing my collection of dies and pulled out the Swirly Snowflakes Thinlits dies for today’s joy to your world card.

I decided to back those beautiful snowflakes with Silver Foil (which is rather difficult to photograph) and cut 2 inches off of the edge of the card to attach the silver foil piece.  Then the string of snowflakes was attached using our tough and durable Liquid Multipurpose glue!

This week’s Freshly Made Sketches layout was the starting point which is why I decided to add the greeting using a piece of Vellum cardstock.

Here’s the sketch layout.

TIP:  Use a small piece of a stamping sponge to spread the liquid multipurpose on the back of the vellum.  This makes the glue virtually invisible so it won’t show through the vellum.

Check out the list of products below.

ONE FOR ALL

Hi out there and welcome!  Today’s card uses the One For All stamp set to create this bright and cheery thank you card.

I haven’t used our Poppy Parade cardstock very much so The Paper Players Colour Challenge was just what I needed to bring it out!  They asked us to pair it up with So Saffron and Smoky Slate as well and you can see both colours on this card.

The Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle ribbon adds just the right subtle touch.  TIP:  To avoid showing glue on this sheer ribbon, use a Stamping Sponge to add Liquid Multipurpose Glue.  Presto – no glue showing with this easy technique!

Check out the products I used below.  The One For Alll stamp set has some great “all-season” sentiments and I’ll be using it often!
