MAKE A SWEET BABY ANNOUNCEMENT

Hi there and welcome.  I thought that I would start off the week with these really sweet baby announcement cards.

I don’t know if it’s a boy or a girl, so choose the soft colours of Soft Sea Foam and Daffodil Delight!  The pandas from the sweet Wildly Happy Cling stamp set, were heat embossed with Black Emboss Powder and the greeting was done with the Shimmer White Emboss Powder!

I just love these and I hope that the intended recipient does too!( the plan is to create another 4 just the same)

Where did I get the layout idea?  From the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

THERE’S A CERTAIN BEAUTY IN COPPER

Hi and welcome!  Today’s post contains a card created using the new Celestial Copper Delicata Mettalic Ink!  It is so easy to use and makes the images pop!

Of course, why not add a bit of the Copper-Foil to add a bit more pop!  I used the Tin Tile 3D embossing folder for it as well as the Subtle Embossing folder on the card front.

This card was so much fun to put together for the Freshly Made Sketches layout.  It all came together so perfectly.

Here’s the list of all of the products that were used.

LAYERED THANKS WITH BLOOM AND GROW

Happy Monday and welcome!  We had a very cold and rainy weekend so I pulled out the Bloom and Grow Photopolymer stamp set and coloured some pretty flowers.  A girl has to do something to get rid of the grey skies blues, lol!

I started out by colouring the flowers on a piece of Whisper White that measured 3-3/4″ x 5″.  Then stamped the flowers again on a piece that measured 3″ x 3-1/4″ and coloured them as well.  Then it was just a matter of placing the Thank You die just so and cutting it out.

Here’s the side view for you.  TIP:  I cut the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals into tiny pieces in order to pop the die-cut up.

The layout is simple and comes from this week’s CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

I was delighted to be chosen as an Honourable Mention from last week’s CAS(E) this sketch with this card.

A WREATH FOR FALL

Good day and welcome.  I’m working on fall-themed cards this week and came up with this one to show a couple of the rich, fall colours.

Our leaves haven’t fully changed yet so I included a little bit of green for this wreath.  Notice the background?  I checked out a new way to add a little texture with die-cuts.  These little images were cut with the All-Around Wreath dies and glued down using the Fine-Tip Glue pen.  (I took a picture before they were glued so I could keep them where I wanted them)

The card layout follows along with this new CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

The Seasonal Wreaths Cling stamp set can be found on page 59 of the Holiday Catalogue and can be used for pretty much any season!  Make sure to check it out.

FLORAL ESSENCE BUNDLE

Welcome to September and today’s card created with the Floral Essence Bundle!

Sometimes one just needs an idea to get started so I cased(Copy and Share Everything) this card from page 107 of the Annual Catalogue.

Vellum was the starting point and I’ve been excited to try out the Shimmer Stampin’ Emboss Powder so just had to use it for those pretty blooms!. The matching Perennial Flower punch is a great tool and helped with the top flower.  Paper Snips cut out the background bloom.

A BRIGHT BIRTHDAY GREETING

Wow, today I’m going from neutral to really bright with this happy birthday card.  Warning – you may want to wear sunglasses, lol!

I wasn’t fooling – this one is bright!  I played around with the Pigment Sprinkles and a Stampin’ Spritzer to get these cheery blooms just right!

The image was first stamped using Jet Black Stazon ink and then I carefully sprinkled the powders so the right colour would end up as close to where I wanted it as possible.  I used Granny Apple Green and Melon Mambo and then very carefully and gently spritzed.  All-in-all not too bad for the finish.

I was following along with the new Freshly Made Sketches layout so decided to go all in on bright and used the Daffodil Delight Pigment Sprinkles for the background.  Wow!

Here’s the list of products used.  Make sure to check out the Pigment Sprinkles, they are so much fun to use!

THE BEST WORDS

The best words are thank you!  I needed to stock up my thank you cards so had fun with this one.

The Handwritten background stamp has lots of great words in many languages and makes a great background for that pretty little bird.  It’s available in both Wood Mount and Cling Mount.

The Free As A Bird stamp set is so very pretty and lots of fun to colour and I used a collection of our fabulous Stampin’ Blends for that little bird and the flower and leaf images.  There a no dies for this set, so fussy-cutting is the name of the game!

SIMPLY THE BEST

Today’s card is something a little different from my usual style.  I did a little stamp spritzing for this one.

So, I inked up the flowers from the A Little Lace cling stamp set and then used the Stampin’ Spritzer on the stamp before applying it to the paper.  I used Calypso Coral and Blueberry Bushel inks for this.

TIP:  Definitely used Shimmery White cardstock for this technique as it take water well and doesn’t pill.

Then, that imaged need a frame so I used two of the Stitched Rectangle dies to make the Calypso Coral frame and adhered it using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To keep the colour the same, I used a piece of Shimmery White to create the card base as well.

YOU ARE AMAZING

Hi there and thank you for stopping in for a visit.  I went to an Aqua Painter for today’s amazing card.

The Band Together Bundle supplied those bright flowers and leaves.  It has some amazing greetings as well and I’ll probably be using them a lot on projects.

The flowers and leaves were coloured with Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green and I used the matching Stampin’ Write Markers to add the extra shading.

TIP 1:  To watercolour, I recommend starting with Shimmery White cardstock.  It holds the colour better and doesn’t “pill”.

TIP 2:  The Tear & Tape adhesive is great for adhering a “heavy” piece to your card base.
