WHEN IN DOUBT CASE THE CATALOGUE

Whenever I am “stuck” as to how to use a new stamp set and dies, I CASE(Copy and Share Everything) the catalogue.  So today’s card is my interpretation of a card in the new 2020-2021 Catalogue(page 43).

This was created using the Many Mates Bundle and those dies are interesting and a little challenging to use.  But, following along with the picture, I was able to get it done!

After cutting out the medallion pattern, I brushed extra colour on by using the Smoky Slate ink pad and then glued it down using the Fine-Tip glue pen.  This card uses quite a few new items, Misty Moonlight 1/2″ twill ribbon, Flowers for every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and the In Good Taste Elements.

Here’s the list of products used.

A LITTLE LACE, A LITTLE GOLD

Welcome!  Today’s card features the A Little Lace stamp set paired up with a sweet tiny butterfly.

A Little Lace(149364) is a lovely stamp set and I decided to use our Gold Emboss powder to show off that beautiful image.  Of course it absolutely needed that tiny golden butterfly to finish it off.  I did not add a sentiment because this card can be used for just about any occasion – you pick!

I am following along with the CAS(E) this sketch challenge for this week too.  Check out this great sketch.

It could inspire one to use any stamp set, paper and accessories!

A BRIGHT BUNCH OF SUNFLOWERS

Welcome and happy Monday to you!  I was working with the new and coming soon Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle over the weekend and here they are!

I wanted to step up my colouring so used different shades of yellow and green Stampin’ Blends to get a more realistic look.  They are the Daffodil Delight combo and the So Saffron combo as well as the Shaded Spruce combo and Mint Macaron combo.  I think it worked out fine, what do you think?

The Garden Lane designer paper is going away by June 2nd, so I had to use up some more scraps for the background.  Make sure to check out the Last Chance(retiring products) Sale to stock up before everything goes away!

Here’s the product list for you.  Note: it’s missing the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle because I can’t show it off to you just yet.

TRY THIS TECHNIQUE FOR A BIRTHDAY CARD

Today’s card features a technique that uses the retiring Pigment Sprinkles(149663) for a very cool background!

I used the Daffodil Delight sprinkles and a Stampin’ Spritzer.  All it took was some strategic placing of post-it notes so I could follow along with this CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

I couldn’t leave it plain, so added the bright tulip from the Timeless Tulips Bundle(Hint: it will be staying around) for a little extra pop!

FOR A GRAD

Hi out there and welcome!  I’m starting the week off with a card for a grad!  Our eldest granddaughter graduates this year and since there will be no grad ceremony, I wanted to create a special card for her!

I started out with the Floral Essence Bundle(151055) and the Emboss Resist Technique with Aqua Painters.

Start with a piece of Shimmery White cardstock, stamp the images with Versamark, sprinkle White Emboss Powder over them(you could use clear too) and heat set.  Then I used Ink Refills with an Aqua Painter to brush the colour on.  After letting it dry, I overlaid a piece of vellum and went to work with the stamp set and matching punch.

Add the perfect greeting and voilå, you’re done!  For the record – I love this particular greeting!

BIG G GRATEFUL

There is no better way to end the week than with a G for grateful thank you card don’t you think?

It’s a clean and simple card that packs a big punch!  I started off with the retiring Handwritten background stamp(146521) and carried on with the retiring Praiseworthy Prose Bundle(151077)!

The clean and simple is because I’m playing along with the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

To make the “wordy” background, I laid Post-It notes over the cardstock so it would appear only in the middle.  TIP:  To use a background stamp, I find it easier to lay it face up so I can lay the paper on top.

Here’s the short list of products used.

PLAYING WITH EMBOSSING PASTE

Hi there and welcome!  As I said before, I’ve been playing with techniques and today’s card features our Stampin’ Up! Embossing paste(141979).

I saw cards posted on facebook by Stampin’ Up! and shamelessly CASED them.  This is my version.

The embossing paste is fun to use along with the Pattern Party Decorative Masks.  I adhered the piece of designer paper onto the card front first and then layered my pattern choice over top.  TIP:  Use a tiny bit of non-permanent adhesive to secure your card to your working surface.  I also taped the mask over top so it would not move.

EMBOSS RESIST TECHMIQUE

Hi out there and welcome to Monday.  I’ve been playing around with techniques and created today’s card using the Emboss Resist Technique.

Instead of using the Aqua Painters, I used Sponge Daubers to add the colours.  The first step was to stamp each of those pretty Magnolia flowers with Versamark and then they were heat embossed with White Emboss powder.  Then it was easy to add the different colours to highlight those pretty blooms.

The greeting from the Floral Essence stamp set(149450) was the perfect addition in my opinion!

Here’s the list of products that I used.

FANCY UP A BELLY BAND

Today, I’m playing with belly bands!  Well, a modified version but a belly band never the less.

I haven’t used the Breathtaking Bouquet background stamp(151612) nearly enough so that is what is featured for today!

Isn’t it beautiful?  I used the Shimmer White Stampin’ Emboss Powder to give it a dramatic look and love it!  Then I stamped it again with the Tuxedo Black Memento ink so I could colour those pretty flowers.  All they needed when done was to be cut out and embellished with some leaves courtesy of the Poppy Moments Dies(151594)

This whole card was inspired by the TGIF Challenge for this week.

Make sure to check out this beautiful stamp in the 2020 Mini Occasions Catalogue.

DO SOMETHING CREATIVE EVERY DAY

Are you getting your creative side on?  There’s a stamp set that encourages creativity called Crafting Forever(151231) and that is what today’s card is about!

I did some colouring with our fabulous Stampin’ Blends and added a careful touch with the Seaside Spray Stampin’ Write marker.  TIP:  Why a careful touch – because I used the Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and alcohol markers need to be used to prevent bleeding.

Why these colours?  Because I’m playing along with The Paper Players colour challenge this week and we are to use Seaside Spray, So Saffron and Grey Granite.

Here’s the list of products used.
