YOU ARE AMAZING

Hi there and thank you for stopping in for a visit.  I went to an Aqua Painter for today’s amazing card.

The Band Together Bundle supplied those bright flowers and leaves.  It has some amazing greetings as well and I’ll probably be using them a lot on projects.

The flowers and leaves were coloured with Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green and I used the matching Stampin’ Write Markers to add the extra shading.

TIP 1:  To watercolour, I recommend starting with Shimmery White cardstock.  It holds the colour better and doesn’t “pill”.

TIP 2:  The Tear & Tape adhesive is great for adhering a “heavy” piece to your card base.

THE DEFINITION OF CHEERFUL

This Tuesday card is the definition of cheerful with it’s bright colours!

I had fun making a mess with the Stampin’ Up! Pigment Sprinkles for sure!  There is an assortment of colours to choose from and I went for Bermuda Bay, Mango Melody and Gorgeous Grape for this one!  They were are sprinkled onto Shimmery White cardstock and then I used the Stampin’ Spritzer to really bring on the colours!  Messy for sure, so make sure to cover your work surface with a layer of paper towels!!

The simple card layout comes from CAS(E) this sketch which is perfect for showing off those cheerful colours.

I love the Praiseworthy Prose bundle with it’s large selection of letter dies and perfect greetings!  Check it out in the product list below.

DAISIES EVERYWHERE

Today’s card features the Daisy Delight photopolymer stamp set with it’s line-up of pretty daisies.

I’ve seen cards with the images line-up along the edge, so gave it a try myself.  It was a simple matter of lining up the cardstock on my Grid Paper and then placing post-it notes along the edge about 1/2″ in.  This way I could stamp the images without leaving “extra” where it wasn’t wanted.  It also aligns nicely with the new CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

Here’s the list of products used.  While you’re checking out the Daisy Delight set, make sure to take a look at its “sister” stamp set, Daisy Lane (149325) on page 23 of the Annual Catalogue.

ALL LINED UP AND CHECK OUT THE CLEARANCE RACK

Hi and welcome to this all lined up card for today.  I pulled out the A Little Lace Cling stamp set as well as Varied Vases for this pretty card.

It took a little time to measure the top piece so it would fit properly but it was worth it!  Before cutting the strips, I stamped two images from the A Little Lace set and then used the Word Wishes dies to cut the “happy” in Calypso Coral.  Varied Vases had the right font and greeting size for the birthday wishes greeting.

I’m playing along with the SUO Challenge(Stampin’ Up! only) for this card – we are to create a project that celebrates birthdays.

SO SAY THE BIRDS

The birds have spoken, thanks for being you!  Today’s card features the Free As A Bird Cling stamp set with a touch of the Bird Ballad designer series paper.

I had great fun colouring these sweeties with our Stampin’ Blends and then fussy cut each one out to be placed just so!  Then why not heat emboss that great friend greeting too!  It was all put together by following along with this great sketch from The Paper Players.

A LITTLE LACE BUNDLE

Today I’m introducing the A Little Lace bundle with this bright and sunny card.

Isn’t it pretty?  You can find this bundle on page 42 (151103) of the new annual catalogue.

The lace die makes the perfect background but I recommend that you use a shim of cardstock to make sure that all of those tiny holes come out easily.

I used the Stamparatus to stamp the image in Smoky Slate and the over-stamped it with Versamark so it could be heat set with Clear Emboss Powder.  Then I went to work with ink pads and an Aqua Painter.

This was all to play along with The Paper Players Colour Challenge.

ELEGANT MAGNOLIA

Hi and welcome!  Today’s card features, yes, the Good Morning Magnolia bundle with this elegant magnolia bloom.

I was travelling around on Pinterest and found this idea there.  There’s nothing like a little vanilla and gold to help set off this elegant bloom.  I don’t use Very Vanilla often but it sure works nicely for this card.

The Stamparatus is the best tool for stamping the large magnolia bloom and I stamped two.  One on very vanilla and the other on Basic Black with Versamark.  Then it was just a matter of adding some Gold Emboss powder and heating it to set.  Then, the “fussy” cutting began with the very vanilla bloom.

I used Stampin’ Dimensionals to layer the bloom over the black and popped it up onto the card base.  The Waterfront stamp set provided the background along with the carried over 3/16″ Braided Trim.  A few Gingham Gala Adhesive-backed sequins finished things off!  All that’s left to add is the perfect greeting/verse inside the card.

ENJOY COUNTRY HOME

I hope that you had a great weekend and are ready to get right into a brand new week.  Today, I’m starting off with a stamp set that transitioned right into the new Annual Catalogue, Country Home.

I’m calling this one “Enjoy Country Home” because that jug is the  perfect way to house a pretty bundle of blooms.  Needless to say, I used a selection of our Stampin’ Blends to colour those blooms to play along with the TGIF Friday challenge, which includes using  Pool Party, Granny Apple Green and Night of Navy.

Here’s the list of products used.  NOTE:  The Tin Tile 3D Dynamic Embossing Folder is not quite yet ready to order as Stampin’ Up! is working on a new design for all of the 3D Dynamic folders.

IN MY THOUGHTS

Do you have someone who is always in your thoughts?  You know, that someone special who might need a card to help boost them up.  Having someone in my thoughts was the inspiration for today’s card.

And the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle was the first thing I grabbed to create it.  There’s nothing like a big, beautiful flower to brighten someone’s day!

So, how to show it off?  Well, the layout from Freshly Made Sketches helped with that.

Instead of the white rectangle, I choose to use that beautiful bloom over a background design from the Magnolia Lane Designer Series paper.  Yup, I like it and think that the recipient will too.

Here’s the list of products used.  I find that the Stamparatus is the best way to handle that large stamp, just place, arrange your paper and stamp!

JUST BE YOU

Sometimes we need to let someone know that you appreciate them and what better way than a card to say thanks for being you!

The Free As A Bird stamp set is available to you at NOON (MST) and I wanted to show a great way to highlight the lovely flower images it contains.  I am playing along with the CAS(E) this sketch challenge for this and used the “masking” technique for the images.

As you can see it is a very interesting layout!  The “Masking” technique involves first stamping the images onto a post-it note and then cuting them out.  Then stamp the image, cover it with the sticky-note image and then stamp the other image(in this case leaves) over top.  Presto – a lovely image with no other lines to “mess up” your images.

This card also uses one of the New 2019-2021 InColors, Rococo Rose paired up with Mint Macaron.  Click below to print your own InColor Coach of complimentary colours to go with all of Stampin’ Up’s! InColors.
