IN THE PINES BUNDLE

Hi and welcome!  Today’s card features the In The Pines Bundle and a fun (but messy) technique!

This In The Pines stamp set is a “2-step” stamping set and I wanted the trees to have snow on them!  So, I used the 2nd step image and heat embossed it with White Emboss Powder.  Then added the Garden Green ink after.  The messy part is that the ink stays wet – but a quick blast from the Heat Tool helps to set it so you don’t get it all over your fingers!

The background designer paper design in from the “Tis the Season pack(153489) and you can save 15% when you purchase it this month.

I pulled the new sketch layout from Freshly Made Sketches and used it as a starting point.

This is a simple card that delivers a bright Christmas greeting, especially with the touch of red ribbon!

YOU MEAN SO MUCH

Hi and welcome, your visits to my blog mean a lot and I thank you.  Today’s card is a pretty tribute to my visiters.

This card has several different colours to it and was a bit of a challenge as I don’t usually use these particular colours together.  I chose to use the Forever Blossoms stamp set(151457) and stamped that lovely spray in Bumblebee.  There is a very light wash of Seaside Spray on the background and I used our new Water Painters(151298) to apply the colour.

This idea came from the FabFri Colour Challenge.

JUST SAYING HELLO

Hello to you on this Thursday!  I’m excited to share a card that I created with the Tasteful Touches stamp set(152562)!

This set does not have matching dies, so fussy-cutting was in order.  I also used the “Masking Technique” to make sure that those beautiful images really pop!  All you need to do for this technique is stamp the main image that you are using onto a post-it note and cut it out.  So, I stamped the flower image first, then covered it with the post-it note(the mask) and then stamped the sprays over top.  When you remove the mask, you have this lovely image left.

I’m playing along with The Paper Players for this,

and one of the items to use was glitter – so I added that with the Shimmery Crystal Effects pen(150892).  Then, for good measure added the mat of Brushed Metallic cardstock.

Here’s the list of products used.  You’ll see that I included the Heat Tool – it was used to set the crystal effects.

IN THE COUNTRY

As we live out in the country, we can really see that the leaves are starting to turn colour.  It’s waaaay too soon in my mind, but nature rules so there you go!  I do love the rich colours of fall and that is what I’m trying to show on today’s card.

It took 2 stamp sets to get it done – Country Home(147678) and the Forever Fern Bundle(154094)!  I first stamped the leaf images with Crushed Curry ink and then used a Stampin’ Sponge to dab on a little Cajun Craze so they would look as authentic as possible.  The new Brushed Metallic cardstock(153524) is beautiful to I used it to stamp the jug.  TIP:  stamp straight down, being careful not to “wiggle” the stamp as that paper is a little slippery.  I did use the Heat Tool to help it set the ink before cutting out the image.

A LITTLE MORE CHRISTMAS CHEER

Ok, I am loving the Warm & Toasty stamp set(152615) with its cute critters so here is another to cheer you!

What a cutie!  I used a few Stampin’ Blends to colour that cute little mouse and then decided to add a “new to me” technique to send these Christmas cheer greetings.

All I did was cut out several labels from the Tasteful Labels Dies(152886) collection, stamped the greeting and then place them strategically on the front of the card.  Looks pretty cool don’t you think?  Give it a try, it’s pretty easy to do!

FABULOUS FLOWERS

Happy Monday to you!  I’m starting the week off with some fabulous flowers that are very bright and cheerful!

Yep, they’re bright alright!  I got this inspiration from our flower garden this weekend.  With all of the rain we’ve been getting, not only did the flowers grow but the weeds loved it too!  Once they were taken care of, I was able to see all of my fabulous flowers!

I used the Poppy Moments dies((151594) and added that fabulous greeting from the Many Mates stamp set(152633).  The variegated colour on the greeting was a happy accident achieved by carefully placing the stamp on an angle and easing off on the pressure as it was stamped.  It adds just the right touch!

JUST ONE POPPY

Hi and welcome!  Today’s poppy card comes from a stamping tutorial from Andrea Walford.

I was so very taken with the card that Andrea did and the technique that I just had to try it for myself.  Since I don’t have the Field of Flowers stamp set, I used Painted Poppies(151599) with a little help from Grace’s Garden and Itty Bitty Greetings.

The background mat was coloured with Pool Party ink and a Sponge Brayer to give the ombre effect and then embossed with the Parisian Flourish 3D embossing folder.

The main image was stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and coloured with Stampin’ Blends.  I played around with the White Craft ink for the “a little hello” greeting.  It is there just very light which means that I have to add more ink to the pad next time!

A VERY SPECIAL DAY

Birthday’s are special and today’s card is so cute and sure to delight someone special in your life!

I just couldn’t help but CASE this card from page 92 of the Annual Catalogue.  It starts with a card base of Purple Posy(2019-2021 InColour) and goes from there.  The critters are just too darn cute for words and cut out easily with the Special Day Dies((153587).

The new Water Painters((151298) are fantastic, come in a package of three with different sized tips, narrow, medium and wide for larger areas.  I used the wide tip to colour the background for those critters.

Here’s the long list of products used.

CELEBRATE WONDERFUL

Happy Monday and welcome!  Today’s card features the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle(154065) done up in shades of blue.

I found a card like this on Instagram done by one of our Stampin’ Up! Artisans and was really taken with the technique that she used.

The first step was to sponge the colour, Misty Moonlight, onto a piece of cardstock and then overstamp with the sunflower image.  Then, she heat embossed with Clear Emboss powder and cut it out with the flower outline die.  Then, the actual petal outline die(can’t think of another way to describe it) was used and adhered to the top with our Fine-Tip Glue Pen.  Voila, a wonderful and beautiful blue sunflower!

LIFE’S GARDEN

Wow, it’s Friday already!  I’m looking forward to doing a little work in my flower garden over the weekend.  We’ve had a ton of rain up here so the weeds have taken off!  Since I’ve been thinking of gardens, I pulled out the Grace’s Garden photopolymer stamp set(151513) and got to work.

This stamp set is full of beautiful images and lends itself very well to colouring.  So a large assortment of Stampin’ Blends to the rescue!  I “cased” this card according to the photo on page 87 of the Annual Catalogue.  The matching Garden Gateway dies(151512) are a must when using this stamp set!

Here’s the list of all of the products used.
