A FANCY FOLD FOR CHRISTMAS

Hi, today’s card features a bit of a fancy fold to highlight a lovely Christmas greeting and the Toile Tidings designer series paper(150432).

I went to work stamping and colouring those lovely branches from the Toile Christmas stamp set(150469) with Stampin’ Blends to  play along with the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge and decided to convert it to a fancy fold.

It needed to be an interesting cut-off so I used one of the dies in the Pine Woods die set to round out the edge after adhering the designer paper piece to the card front.

I didn’t leave room to write so will add a note on a separate piece of paper to handwrite our Christmas greeting.

The Warm & Toasty stamp set(152615) just makes me smile, especially these two cute little mice!

They are fun to colour too!  I used a selection of our Stampin’ Blends to give them life:)

I am giving Gift Cards this year so needed a new idea for gift card holders and found this one on Patty Bennett’s blog.  It easy and can be adapted for any occasion!

This is what the card looks like when open!

HIDDEN FLOWERS

Today’s card uses the Parcels & Petals Bundle again!  It’s so easy to use and I created this pretty card with it.

I was checking out Pinterest and found a card that used a die to create an interesting edge so tried it myself.  The Seasonal Layers dies have a great scalloped piece and that it was I used to make two separate layers for the card front.

The flower image was stamped onto Whisper White with Highland Heather Ink.  Then I added more by “stamping off” so the other blooms would be a softer colour.

Then it was just a matter of picking the perfect greeting and putting the card together.  I used a lot of Stampin’ Dimensionals and the Grid Paper for placement of the pieces.

Here’s the list of products used.

PINWHEEL SQUARES

Let’s start off Monday with a technique that’s a ton of fun to make! You create a pinwheel with scraps of designer paper and go from there.

Isn’t this pretty?  I used pieces of the Delightful Daisy designer series paper cut out with the Stitches Shapes squares.  The tiny flower, leaves and sentiment are from the Soft Sayings stamp set (page 11) and I fussy-cut the flower and leaves to add to the centre of the pinwheel.  A few tiny pearls, and this card is ready to send to someone special.

Here’s the list of everything I used for this card.

I Love this……..

Good day to you. I saw this idea on Stacey Ailes blog and just had to create one myself.   I’m calling it “Friendly Fences”.

http://www.stampinup.com/ECWeb/default.aspx?email=cynthia.stevenson%40telus.net&phone=(250)+785-4847I love it and it was easier to create than you might think.  Here’s some measurements for you:

Cut card stock to 12″ x6″.  Score on the 12″ side at 3″ 6″ and 9″.  Fold accordion style and decorate.  I used the Decorative Label punch to create the legs and the Finishing Touches Edgelits for the “fence” top.  The Hardwood background stamp was used with Soft Suede ink.  I had a great time practicing with the Blendabilities for this card too.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping to you!
