THE COLOURS OF FALL

Today I’m focussing on the colours of fall with this card created with the Bloom & Grow Bundle.

Those lovely flowers were coloured with our fabulous Stampin’ Blends in Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron.  When the colouring was done, they needed a good background piece so I went to the Come to Gather designer paper package.  I wasn’t sure at first, but do like the blend of Cajun Craze with the Pumpkin Pie card base and So Saffron mat.

It just goes to show that playing around with colours can show one different ways to enjoy them!

PUMPKINS FOR FALL

Well, it is feeling so much like fall out there so why not focus on some great-looking pumpkins!

The Come to Gather Designer Series paper package contains some great designs and I put my focus on those lovely pumpkins for this card.  Well, I had to add some fall-coloured leaves as well so I could show off the new Celestial Copper Delicata Metallic ink. That’s a mouthful but the ink is fabulous to work with and adds just the right amount of “fall feels”!  So why stop at leaves, why not add a copper-inked wreath as well?!

TIP:  Make sure to check out all of the Delicata Metallic inks on page 16 of the Holiday Catalogue!

The original plan was to play along with The Paper Players colour challenge and I think that I did get all of the colours in.  Plus a few extras, lol!

Here’s the list of products that I used.

IT’S A BEAUTIFUL DAY

“Days are beautiful that begin with you”!  What better way to say that than with this lovely greeting card.

It’s such a simple way to send that greeting to someone that you love!

I started off with a card base of Petal Pink and matched the flower using Petal Pink Classic ink.  The punch that goes along with the Floral Essence Bundle makes creating perfect flowers really easy! TIP:  The Leaf Punch (144667) matches this stamp set perfectly too!

The Stitched Nested Labels Dies were used to cut the background designer paper (Perennial Essence) as well as the greeting label.

LIFE IS BETTER WITH YOU

I thought that I’d end the week with another creation using the Seasonal Wreaths Photopolymer stamp set that’s coming in the 2019-2020 Holiday Catalogue.  There’s nothing like playing with new products!

And this stamp set is perfect for all-season wreaths!

I pulled out the new layout from Freshly Made Sketches for this so I could also show off a couple of the beautiful designs in the Come Together Designer Series Paper pack.  It compliments the Seasonal Wreaths set so vey nicely!  Here’s the sketch.

LOVE & JOY ON YOUR DAY

Happy Monday to you and welcome!  Today’s card is about a day of Love & Joy wether it be a wedding, anniversary or a birthday!

I played around with the Woven Heirlooms Bundle for this (the sentiments in the stamp set are truly beautiful) and added some interest with the Flourish Dies and Highland Heather cardstock.

TIP:  I learned when using the Woven Heirlooms dies and 3D embossing folders that you need to cut the shape out first and then place them into the embossing folders.  This will give a much deeper pattern impression.  They cannot be used at the same time.

SIMPLY THE BEST

Today’s card is something a little different from my usual style.  I did a little stamp spritzing for this one.

So, I inked up the flowers from the A Little Lace cling stamp set and then used the Stampin’ Spritzer on the stamp before applying it to the paper.  I used Calypso Coral and Blueberry Bushel inks for this.

TIP:  Definitely used Shimmery White cardstock for this technique as it take water well and doesn’t pill.

Then, that imaged need a frame so I used two of the Stitched Rectangle dies to make the Calypso Coral frame and adhered it using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To keep the colour the same, I used a piece of Shimmery White to create the card base as well.

THINKING OF YOU WITH PINK MAGNOLIAS

Happy Friday to you and welcome!  Today’s card features the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle with it’s pretty pink magnolia blooms

I love the softness of the combination of Mint Macaron and Flirty Flamingo!  Our Stampin’ Blends once again are featured here.  Check them out, they make your colouring look very professional!

I needed a great card sketch idea for this project so went along with the new sketch this week from Freshly Made Sketches.

LACY WEDDING WISHES

Hi and welcome!  I’ve been thinking weddings lately so pulled out a newcomer to my stamping supplies to create this lacy wedding wish.

The newcomer to my supplies is the Bird Ballad Laser-cut cards and tin.  It is full of lacy card bases that you can use to create any card you wish.

However, CAS(E) this sketch posted this layout and I immediately thought wedding!

Those lovely roses are from the Tea Together cling stamp set and were coloured with the Highland Heather combo of Stampin’ Blends.  I added a hint of dark Petal Pink to the blooms for a subtle highlight.

The perfect greeting makes the card just right and it comes from A Little Lace cling stamp set.

TIP:  Use a thin bead of Multi-purpose Liquid Glue to add the coloured backing behind the lacy front of the card.

THINKING OF YOU

Sometimes you just need to send a thinking of you card off to someone who needs to hear from you.  Today’s card should make that person happy!

It’s a study in soft blues with the combination of the new InColour Seaside Spray and an “old” InColour of Blueberry Bushel.

I downloaded the sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches this week for the layout inspiration and pulled out Woven Heirlooms and Butterfly Gala for the focal points.

The butterflies were stamped onto a scrap piece of Woven Threads designer paper and then cut out with the matching punch.  I used the very handy Take Your Pick tool to place them just so on the card.  Make sure to check out this tool, it has many uses!

BEST DAY EVER

The best day ever could be a special birthday, an anniversary, wedding or a great achievement!  You choose which one and then create a card like today’s to celebrate.

All you need is a beautiful design from the Perennial Essence designer series paper as the background!  Then add the perfect greeting set off with a beautiful lacy label and you’re all set to wow the recipient!

I think I like the dies from the Band Together bundle the best – they are quite simply – beautiful!
