AN ODE TO SPRING

Spring is coming – it’s just taking its time up here, lol.  I can hardly wait to see the flowers in our gardens bloom!  But, when you have stamps you can make your own flowers – so here you go.

I played with the Art Gallery Bundle(156227) and a piece from the Fine Art Floral designer paper(154558) to set up the background.  And a piece of ribbon from the Playing with Patterns ribbon combo doesn’t hurt either!

This is a 2-step stamping set which makes it easy to create a lovely blend of colours for your flowers!

Here’s the list of products for you.

SO THANKFUL FOR FLOWERS

Wow, it’s Friday already and I’m celebrating with flowers!  The Sweet Strawberry Bundle(156214) isn’t just about fruit you know.

I coloured them bright with the Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends and, of course a little Granny Apple Green doesn’t hurt!

This card follows along with the layout from Freshly Made Sketches for this week.

Stampin’ Up! Year End C… by cynthiajs

Have a great weekend and Happy Stamping!

THANK YOU TO YOU

A big thank you today for your patience.  This blog has been undergoing a big change so posting has been limited.  There are still more changes to come but for now I wanted to share this card with you.

I combined the Ornate Style Bundle(154119) with the Many Messages Bundle(156272) and some colouring to bring you these bright flowers!

I love the fancy of the Ornate Layers dies and used a piece of Pretty Peacock for that lovely frame.  Pretty Peacock is one of the InColors that is going away by May 4, 2021!  If you really love the 2019-2021 InColors I highly recommend that you get them soon as these products tend to sell out quickly!

Make sure to check out the product list for today’s card.

A VERY SWEET GREETING CARD

Let’s start the week off with a greeting card laden with sweetness! All compliments of the Sweet Strawberry Bundle(156214).

I was surfing around the Stampin’ Up website and found a card made by one of the Stampin’ Up! Artisans that inspired me.  There were many steps involved with today’s project and some of them not in a normal order, lol.  I had stamped the strawberries and coloured them with Stampin’ Blends and then decided to add a little gloss after they were already cut out.  No worries though, I simply used a non-permanent adhesive to attach them to a piece of scrap paper while applying the Clear Emboss Powder.  (NOTE:  I used the Basic Black Marker to highlight the seeds before embossing).  Don’t they look great all shiny and ready to eat?  Yes, those sprays of leaves and strawberry blossoms were “fussy-cut” – whew!

I love my interpretation and sure hope the recipient does too.

Here’s the very long list of products used.

KINDNESS FRIDAY

Hi to you on this very cold Friday.  I’m sharing this pretty card about kindness which seems fitting as we have had some very cold days this past week.

It seems that my internet connection doesn’t like the cold either so I’m very happy to be able to post this card today.

I’ll keep this post short and give you the product list.

FLOWERS TO BRIGHTEN THE DAY

Hi.  I’m playing with the Ornate Style Bundle again!  Who doesn’t need some cheerful flowers to brighten the day!

I found this layout on page 67 of the Annual Catalogue and CASED it!  The change is the designer paper background from the Flowers for Every Season pack(152486).

Since the Ornate Style stamp set doesn’t have greetings, I called on the Many Mates stamp set for the happy thanks! What a lovely, cheerful card to send to brighten someone’s day!

THANKFUL FOR THE PUMPKIN

Welcome to you!  Today I made my own pumpkin because that’s what you have to do when you don’t have a pumpkin stamp, lol!

There it is in all of its shiny metallic glory!  I’m pretty proud of it actually and thankful that I purchased the beautiful Brushed Metallic Cardstock(153524) to use.  Then, all it took was the Layering Ovals dies(the smallest one) to cut out 5 ovals!  Then, to add some texture, out came the Subtle embossing folder.  I attached each oval using our Mini Glue Dots to form the pumpkin shape.  The leaves are courtesy of the Forever Blossoms stamp set and matching Cherry Blossom Dies.

I really liked the card layout challenge posted by The Paper Players and it fit well with my autumn-themed card.

GRATEFUL IN THE COUNTRY

Living out in the country is a true blessing!  We are visited by deer and moose regularly and it’s just so peaceful.  The animals do love my flowers though, so I created some on today’s card!

The Jar of Flowers stamp set(152515) can be used for more than a bundle in a jar and this card does just that!  I wanted to play along with the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge so that’s why the flowers are placed on the edges.

As you can see, I added some butterflies compliments of the Butterfly Gala stamp set(148580) and that greeting from Country Home stamp set(147678) says it all!

CASE THE CATALOGUE

When in doubt, CASE(copy and share everything) the Catalogue!  Today’s card was cased from page 11 using the Jar of Flowers stamp set(152515).

If you look closely, you can see the thin red piece of cardstock under the image piece.  I wasn’t sure at first, but do like the blend of the red and Magenta Madness!

The Stamparatus(146276) is the perfect tool to use when lining up images. Just place the stamp and then move your paper as you stamp each image.  Using the Small Grid Paper(149621) helps to keep your paper straight!

FLOWERS AND MEDALLIONS

Good morning to you!  Today’s card features the Many Mates Bundle.   The Many Medallions large die makes for a beautiful background for these bright flowers.

I must say that you will absolutely need the Take Your Pick Die Brush tip(149655) for this die.  There are a lot of tiny pieces in it, but the extra work is worth it!

The Band Together stamp set and matching Detailed Bands dies were my other go to – those flowers are lovely and very easy to colour with our fabulous Stampin’ Blends!

I will be submitting this card to play along with the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  Take a look at the sketch.
