ALL DAYS ARE BEAUTIFUL THAT BEGIN WITH YOU

“All days are beautiful that begin with you”!  This is the sentinment that I put on today’s card!

This simple message is to celebrate all of the women in our lives that support, protect and love us!  The whole idea for this card came from a combination of three challenges that I’m playing along with.  I don’t usually combine several challenges, but I wanted to keep things clean and simple and these three helped to make that happen.

The Paper Players Colour Challenge,

The SUO Challenge to celebrate women and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

I only took two stamp sets, lol, Floral Essence stamp set provided the sentiment and Butterfly Gala stamp set and matching punch provided that tiny butterfly!

BIRTHDAY BALLOONS FOR YOU

If it’s your birthday – have a happy one and enjoy some balloons too!

I received my order with the Special Day dies(153587) and used them right away for this card.  These dies work perfectly with the Special Someone stamp set(151643) and enable you to create several different scenes with the cute critters in the stamp set!

You could change up the theme of this card for Valentines day just by changing the sentiment.

SENSATIONAL YOU

Today’s card features the Sending You Thoughts Sale-A-Bration stamp set for a sensational you card.

I love all of the sentiments in this stamp set and did a little fancy masking to get the sentiment just the way I wanted it!  This card is filled with love and that is why I’m posting on The Paper Players “Love is in the Air” challenge.

The “another year of sensational you” is all one stamp, so I used scotch tape to mask off the words to make it easier to separate them for the card layout.  If you try this, make certain to clean the stamp after every use!

HAPPY HEARTS

Hi and welcome!  Today’s card is full of happy hearts for a sweet Valentine!

I took a piece from the most excellent package of From My Heart specialty designer series paper(151189) and created what looks like an optical elusion.  When I was setting it up to be edited I wasn’t sure if it was sitting straight or not, lol.  The strip of designer paper was cut at 3-1/4″ wide and 7-1/2″ long.  I used a pencil to draw the angled lines to measure 1-3/8″ at the top.  Then it was adhered on an angle across the card front and paper snips were used trim away the excess at either end.

The Meant To Be stamp set(148626) from last year has some beautiful dies to go with it so I made good use of them to add the interest and greeting at the bottom of the angled strip.  That’s it, a pretty card full of happy hearts for my special valentine.

MY FRIENDLY VALENTINE

January has been speeding by and it’s time to get serious about Valentine cards!  Today’s card uses an “old” stamp set, Meant to Be and some “new” designer paper and a heart doily(151191) from the Occasions catalogue.

The Meant To Be stamp set has matching Stitched Be Mine dies and I used them to add a little “wow” for the background.  I love the pops of red and that sentiment is perfect!

This whole card was created by following along with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge for this week.

SUNSHINE AND ROSES

It may be very cold up here in northeastern BC, but when the sun shines, it lights up the mood!  So, it also inspired me to pull out the To A Wild Rose Bundle and get creating.

I decided to play around with our Pigment Sprinkles and love the way the different colours add highlights to those pretty roses.  It just seemed appropriate to give them a white edge, so out came the Versamark and White Emboss Powder.  TIP:  I used the Heat Tool to dry the paper after the sprinkles making it much easier to add the heat embossing!

The new Freshly Made Sketches layout came into play here with a piece of the Peaceful Poppies DSP and a small side plate to cut the rounded edge.

ANOTHER VALENTINE

Hi and welcome!  Today, I’m showing you another Valentine card that I created to send to our Canadian Veterans.  I love the Special Someone stamp set(151643), the critters are just so darn cute!

Aww, how cute is that raccoon with his balloon!  This is a 2-Step stamp set, so creating these cuties is really easy.  I stamped the detail image first with Soft Suede ink and then added the other image using Crumb Cake ink.

Yes, the string and balloon were “fussy-cut” so I could add them over top of the image.  That beautiful background is a piece from the From My Heart Specialty designer paper(151189).

IS IT TOO EARLY FOR A VALENTINE CARD

Is it too early for a Valentine card?  Time does go by quickly so I decided to get creative with the new Special Someone photopolymer stamp set from the Occasions mini catalogue.

The images in this set are so cute and you can create them with the 2-Step stamping method.  I also wanted to show off some of the beautiful designs in the From my Heart Specialty designer paper so pulled this sketch posted by TGIF challenges.

We Canadian SU Demonstrators are creating Valentines for our Veterans and this is one of the cards that I will be sending.

INTRODUCING THE PEACEFUL POPPIES SUITE

Have you checked out the Peaceful Poppies Suite yet?  There are so many beautiful pieces to it that it’s hard to list them all so I created a simple card to show you some of these lovely products.

It starts with the Painted Poppies bundle paired up with the Peaceful Moments stamp set(for the greeting).  The background paper is from the beautiful Peaceful Poppies Designer series paper – there are many more beautiful pages as well so make sure to check it all out!

This lovely simple sketch from Freshly Made Sketches was my starting point.

Here’s the list of products that I used.  Note – one of the colours in this Suite is Poppy Parade!  So appropriate isn’t it?

ALL OF ME LOVES ALL OF YOU

All of Me Loves All of You – what a beautiful sentiment for that special someone!  And I think that this card will make a lovely Valentine greeting with that beautiful sentiment.

I’ve been using the Forever Blossoms bundle(153781) again – I just love everything about it and the flowers are so easy to colour!

In order to show off a bit more of the beautiful Parisian Blossoms design paper, I followed along with the new CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.
