SUNSHINE AND ROSES

It may be very cold up here in northeastern BC, but when the sun shines, it lights up the mood!  So, it also inspired me to pull out the To A Wild Rose Bundle and get creating.

I decided to play around with our Pigment Sprinkles and love the way the different colours add highlights to those pretty roses.  It just seemed appropriate to give them a white edge, so out came the Versamark and White Emboss Powder.  TIP:  I used the Heat Tool to dry the paper after the sprinkles making it much easier to add the heat embossing!

The new Freshly Made Sketches layout came into play here with a piece of the Peaceful Poppies DSP and a small side plate to cut the rounded edge.

ANOTHER VALENTINE

Hi and welcome!  Today, I’m showing you another Valentine card that I created to send to our Canadian Veterans.  I love the Special Someone stamp set(151643), the critters are just so darn cute!

Aww, how cute is that raccoon with his balloon!  This is a 2-Step stamp set, so creating these cuties is really easy.  I stamped the detail image first with Soft Suede ink and then added the other image using Crumb Cake ink.

Yes, the string and balloon were “fussy-cut” so I could add them over top of the image.  That beautiful background is a piece from the From My Heart Specialty designer paper(151189).

IS IT TOO EARLY FOR A VALENTINE CARD

Is it too early for a Valentine card?  Time does go by quickly so I decided to get creative with the new Special Someone photopolymer stamp set from the Occasions mini catalogue.

The images in this set are so cute and you can create them with the 2-Step stamping method.  I also wanted to show off some of the beautiful designs in the From my Heart Specialty designer paper so pulled this sketch posted by TGIF challenges.

We Canadian SU Demonstrators are creating Valentines for our Veterans and this is one of the cards that I will be sending.

INTRODUCING THE PEACEFUL POPPIES SUITE

Have you checked out the Peaceful Poppies Suite yet?  There are so many beautiful pieces to it that it’s hard to list them all so I created a simple card to show you some of these lovely products.

It starts with the Painted Poppies bundle paired up with the Peaceful Moments stamp set(for the greeting).  The background paper is from the beautiful Peaceful Poppies Designer series paper – there are many more beautiful pages as well so make sure to check it all out!

This lovely simple sketch from Freshly Made Sketches was my starting point.

Here’s the list of products that I used.  Note – one of the colours in this Suite is Poppy Parade!  So appropriate isn’t it?

ALL OF ME LOVES ALL OF YOU

All of Me Loves All of You – what a beautiful sentiment for that special someone!  And I think that this card will make a lovely Valentine greeting with that beautiful sentiment.

I’ve been using the Forever Blossoms bundle(153781) again – I just love everything about it and the flowers are so easy to colour!

In order to show off a bit more of the beautiful Parisian Blossoms design paper, I followed along with the new CAS(E) this Sketch challenge.

FOREVER BLOSSOMS

Hello and welcome to you!  I just can’t stop using the Forever Blossoms bundle – it’s so very beautiful especially with the matching designer paper!

Just look at those beautiful flowers on that piece of designer paper!  So I pulled the Pool Party from the background and stamped several blooms with the Pool Party ink and added the leaves stamped with the Silvery Shimmer Delicata ink(it’s retiring as of tomorrow).  The dies that match the Forever Blossoms stamp set make it so easy to cut out those pretty blooms.

Along the left edge, in the background it a piece of braided border made using the new Braided Border Punch that’s in the 2020 Occasions Mini Catalogue.  Make sure to check it out on page 29!

FOR MY VALENTINES

There’s nothing like giving the gift of chocolate to one’s valentines and adding a fancy gift tag to that delicious gift!

These little beauties were created with the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set and the beautiful All My Love designer series paper.  And, I just couldn’t resist adding that touch of shimmer with a Lovely Lipstick Foil heart!

TIP:  When using the Tag Topper Scalloped Punch, cut the cardstock to 2-15/16 wide –  it will fit into the punch a little easier.

The Paper Players “Love is in the Air” theme made it easy to create these tags.

TIP 2:  The Thinlit Die I used has a tiny heart at the bottom of the die, so I used the Take Your Pick tool to add it to that pretty label.  When using this die, make a note of that tiny heart so you can use it on your own project.

MANY LOVELY ROSES WISHING FOR SPRING

Me and these many lovely roses are very fervently wishing for spring!  One of the best things about having a stamping business is that you can create your own season any time you want!  All it takes is some cardstock, ink and a great stamp set like the Climbing Roses Cling Bundle.

I used the Petal Pink and Shaded Spruce combo Stampin’ Blends to colour those little beauties and cut them out with the matching thinlit die.  Don’t they look so pretty sitting on that trellis and label?  I used a combination of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and Glue Dots to arrange them.

This would make a great Valentine’s card but my thoughts when making it were for an anniversary or wedding!  It’s perfect for either one!

TO MY BEST FRIEND

There’s nothing like a great card for a best friend and today’s card fits into that sentiment very nicely!

I’ve been busy creating valentines and think that this is the one that will go to my husband!  The Meant to Be Cling Bundle(page 6 2019 Occasions Catalogue) is such a great set to use and looks fabulous when paired up with the All My Love Designer Series paper!

The line-up of hearts along the edge comes from the inspiring sketch that Freshly Made Sketches posted.

I had fun with this one and used some great products to complete it.

HEARTS TO YOU

A big welcome to you!  Today is another card that give a great idea for your Valentine greeting with this Hearts to You card.

I was following along with the CAS(E) this sketch challenge,

and used the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder to get that embossed edge.  The Meant to Be bundle has a great framelit that give you a line-up of tiny hearts so I picked a few to add to edge.  (The Take Your Pick tool is great for picking up tiny pieces!)
