SIMPLY SIMPLE BIRTHDAY CARD

Welcome and I hope that you had a happy Easter weekend.  I did find time to get some stamping done and have this simple birthday  card to share with you.

The Humming Along Bundle is one of the items that will not be returning in the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalogue so I gave it a little love with that amazing greeting and label.

CAS(E) this sketch posted this simple layout which made my choices easy!

The Floral Romance Specialty Designer series paper is going away to and I couldn’t resist layering two of the designs for the centre strip.

Here’s the list of products used.  Just a “refresh” for you, the Stamping Sponges and Silicone Craft sheet are listed as I used them to apply the Liquid Multipurpose Glue the the sheer top sheet on the centre strip.

DELIVERING THE BABY PELICAN STYLE

Ha, ha, what a title for today’s post!  I pulled out the Postcard Pals stamp set and picked out the pelican image to play with!  What a cute way to say congratulations on your new baby, especially with that greeting from Fable Friends!

Sooo cute!  I had a ton of fun colouring this busy pelican and it took a good selection of our Stampin’ Blends to get it just right.  The new CAS(E) this sketch layout was the perfect way to highlight this cute pair.

Here’s the list of all products used.

EASTERN BEAUTY TODAY

Hello from Cynthia’s Creative Corner!  I went to the soon to be retiring InColor Fresh Fig for today’s card using the Eastern Beauty stamp set and matching Eastern Medallion thinlits for today’s card.

I think it looks beautiful paired up with the Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series paper.  (2019 Occasions Catalogue)

CAS(E) this sketch posted this layout,

which is where I got the inspiration to match up these two lovely products!

TIP:  This colour, Fresh Fig as well as the rest of the 2017 – 2019 InColors are going away soon, so my advice to you is to stock up your favourites soon!

Here’s the product list for you for today.

TEA AND FLOWERS

With the weather taking a turn to the cold, how about a little tea and flowers to warm up?!

This simple card is a good choice for a Mother’s day greeting (yes another one).  I used a combination of the Petal Pink combo and Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends for the flowers.  As well as the Granny Apple green combo for the leaves.  I think they all look great with the Grapefruit Grove card base!

CAS(E) this sketch posted a challenging layout for this week and this card is my take on it.

I’ve been playing along with this sketch challenge for a while now and was delighted to have been chosen as an Honorable mention for last week’s card.  See it HERE.

Here’s the list of products that I used to create this tea and flowers card.

YOU’VE BEEN ON MY MIND

You’ve been on my mind!  Sometimes a thought turns into a lovely greeting card and that’s just what happened today!  The Beautifully Detailed Laser-cut Specialty Paper is the focal point for this greeting card.

Sometimes you don’t need a lot to create a beautiful card!  Just stamp a few butterflies and you’re off!  I used the Stamparatus for perfect placement of that greeting so I could play along with CAS(E) this sketch this week.

At first glance, I wasn’t sure about this sketch but I love how the card turned out!

Here’s the short list of products used.

PAINTED SEASONS DISTINKTIVE

Good day to you and welcome!  Today’s post features another Distinktive stamp set that’s available as a qualifying Free choice from the 2nd Sale-A-Bration release.

It’s the Painted Seasons Bundle (150349) that includes some fabulous designer series paper.

I chose to use just the stamped images for this card.

Love that flower!  I used the masking technique to add that spray of leaves and another technique which you saw in the video I posted last week.  The flower image was inked up with Melon Mambo ink and then I added Pumpkin Pie ink using a sponge dauber.  The same technique was used on the leaves using Granny Apple Green and Call Me Clover ink.

CAS(E) this sketch posted this sketch this week and that is why my card is so clean and simple.

BEAUTIFUL LIFE

It’s a beautiful like despite all the snow and cold don’t you think?  There’s always something great and beautiful to look forward to!

Which is why the Beautiful You stamp set came to mind for tday’s card.  No matter what, we can always dance!  I chose to use Black Emboss powder to accent that lovely dancer and then thought that the opposite in White Emboss powder was a good idea for the sentiment!  Of course, the butterfly background helps to add that touch of spring.

The layout is compliments of CAS(E) this sketch #311 which made it easy to put the idea together.

FRIENDLY BUTTERFLIES

Someone said to me the other day that they would be happy with more butterflies – So – today’s card feature a couple of friendly butterflies for a friend.

I started out with a Grapefruit Grove card base, added a matching piece of gingham from the Gingham Gala Designer Paper Stack and went from there.  It took 3 stamp sets to put this together in order to play along with CAS(E) this sketch and I love the soft simplicity!

In order to make the butterflies stand out, I over-stamped them with Versamark, added some Clear Emboss Powder and heat set them before cutting them out.

Here’s the great sketch that was posted.

NOTE:  The Organdy Ribbon Combo pack that I used is un-orderable at the moment but Stampin’ Up! is expecting delivery to start again on March 4, 2019.

BUTTERFLIES AND SMILES

There’s nothing like a few butterflies to bring smiles to one’s face, don’t you think?  Today’s card has a definite spring feel to it with those pretty butterflies!

I’m really enjoying the Floral Romance Specialty designer paper that adds to the spring feel for this card.  That perfect sentiment is compliments of the Eastern Beauty stamp set – who doesn’t smile for butterflies!

The layout for this card is from the new challenge from CAS(E) this sketch which helps to show off all of these lovely new products!

HELLO CUPCAKE – A FUN SALE-A-BRATION STAMP SET

Welcome to Monday and this celebratory cupcake from the oh, so cute Hello Cupcake photopolymer stamp set(149714).  This one can be found in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue on page 6!

I thought that it would look great with the Broadway Bound specialty designer series paper and that candle design!  I stamped the cupcake bottom onto a piece of Vellum and then decided to heat emboss the icing topper with White emboss powder.  Both were cut out and then layered over the designer paper with strategically placed Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CAS(E) this sketch posted the layout that I followed which helped to put all of these elements together.  Check out their sketch below.

Here’s the list of products that I used.  You can click on any of the pictures to get a good view in my Online Store.
