HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS

For this Friday, the theme is “home for the holidays”!  I combined the Still Scenes Bundle and Frosted Foliage to set off this lovely home awaiting family and friends.

I just love that little scene and added lots of colour with our Stampin’ Blends.  The Snowfall Accents Puff Paint is so much fun to use to add snow-y accents too!

Freshly Made Sketches provided the layout and Frosted Foliage added some of the snowflakes gently falling around this lovely home.

Have a great weekend and I hope that you can get some stamping done as well!

PTERODACTYL HALLOWEEN

Pterodactyl, whew that’s a mouthful!  However, when you want to create a Halloween-themed project you sometimes need to go to the Dino Days bundle!  Especially when you don’t have any Halloween-themed stamp sets.  He, he, so here it is!

I sure had fun with this and took some of the colours from The Paper Players Colour Challenge.

Just a note:  Elegant Eggplant and Tangelo Twist are retired colours from Stampin’ Up! so I substituted Terracotta Tile and Blackberry Bliss.

The pine boughs in the background are from the Peaceful Boughs stamp set and I thought that they would make a great background done in Smokey Slate.

HAVE A SOFT CHRISTMAS

Hi and welcome.  The Peaceful Boughs stamp set has been sitting on my table and calling to me to put it into action.  So, I cooperated, lol, and created this soft card.

The boughs were arranged on the Stamparatus first and inked up with Crumb Cake.  Then I grabbed a piece of sponge and dabbed a little Garden Green in over the boughs before stamping them onto the card front.  The Word Wishes dies worked perfectly so I could play along with this CAS(E) this sketch layout.

I love the Snowflake Sequins, so added a few for a little extra pop!

STILL SCENES AT CHRISTMAS

I finally got to use the Mercury Glass Designer Acetate and love it!

It makes a great background for the Still Scenes stamp set and matching dies, so I went all out for this card by using a piece for the background!

I think it looks lovely with the Silvery Shimmer Delicata Metallic ink too!  The greeting needed to be smaller so I pulled this one from the Toile Christmas Bundle.

All-in-all a soft and silvery greeting card that works well for a still winter scene!

Make sure to check out my Events Calendar as this card will be included in an upcoming class!

HAVE A COZY CHRISTMAS

Hello on this beautiful Saturday.  I was playing around with the Merry Moose stamp set and wanted to show off the really cute raccoon image that’s in this set.

He is a cutie pie for sure sitting on his little log!  In order to add the extras, I decided to play along with the new Freshly Made Sketches layout.

The Stitched Rectangle Dies made the perfect frame for this scene too.  Just pick your sizes, layer them together a cut with your die-cutting machine!  Easy!  This was  a fun card to make this Saturday and I hope that you enjoy it as well.

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians and Happy Stamping!

THANK YOU FLOWERS

I went to flowers for today’s card.  Just to ease the “pain” of seeing snow in our yard this week.

It’s a study in greens for this pretty thank you card for sure.  I combined the Floral Essence stamp set with the greeting from the Bloom & Grow stamp set to come up with this.

There was a lot of fussy cutting involved but I do love the way it turned out.  The flowers and greeting were stamped with the new Golden Glitz Delicata metallic ink(150711) that’s in the Holiday Catalogue.  I think it adds a very pretty look to the card!

The thanks theme is from playing along with The Paper Players Challenge for this week.

ENJOY THE STILLNESS OF THE SEASON

H there.  Today’s card is a winter scene which is not too far off of what I’ve been looking at in our yard the last couple of days!

Well, to be fair, not this much snow but a little snow never-the less!

I love the simple greeting that comes from the Merry Moose stamp set and played around with the Snow Globe Scenes dies.  Notice the smears of white on the trees?  They were made using the new and fun Snowfall Accents Puff Paint.  Oh my it’s fun to useI  Just place it where you want it and then use the Heat Tool to puff it up!

I followed along as closely as possible with the CAS(E) this sketch layout.  The ribbon standing in for the strips on the sketch.

Here’s the list of goodies that I used. Make sure to check them out by clicking on the picture.

COLORFUL SEASONS FOR THANKSGIVING

A big Monday hello to you.  This week we are heading towards our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend so I decided to create this card as a celebration.

I used a the Colorful Seasons stamp set and matching dies and had some bits left over from the Bloom & Grow bundle so combined them all for this card.

I really like the selection of words in the Word Wishes die package so used it too.  There’s lots of choice so I recommend that you check it out.

THE COLOURS OF FALL

Today I’m focussing on the colours of fall with this card created with the Bloom & Grow Bundle.

Those lovely flowers were coloured with our fabulous Stampin’ Blends in Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron.  When the colouring was done, they needed a good background piece so I went to the Come to Gather designer paper package.  I wasn’t sure at first, but do like the blend of Cajun Craze with the Pumpkin Pie card base and So Saffron mat.

It just goes to show that playing around with colours can show one different ways to enjoy them!
