SNOW, SNOW SNOW

Yes, we have snow and are expecting more this week along with much colder temperatures, brrrr!  Not unusual for this northeast corner of BC though.

Since we live on Charlie Lake, BC,  I created this card with the Waterfront stamp set(146386) to show what we see out of our windows.

It’s also to play along with the new challenge from The Paper Players.

I started off with Balmy Blue cardstock and just had fun stamping and heat embossing to create this wintery scene.

JUST WANT TO SAY….

Hi, I just want to say welcome and share this pretty card with you today.

I love the sentiment die, because it gives you the option of adding a special greeting either inside the card or on the outside.

I pulled out a piece of Vellum cardstock as an overlay for the beautiful Fine Art Floral designer paper(154558).  It would be a shame to cover it up don’t you think?

The Art Gallery Bundle(156227) makes creating a garden of flowers so easy with the 2-Step stamping method.  I started with Rococo Rose and added a touch of Merry Merlot for definition.  Love it!

BERRY BLESSINGS FOR YOU

With Sale-A-Bration in full swing, I thought that I’d show you what can be done with one of the great Free choices.  This Berry Blessings Bundle(157613) is so cheery and bright it will certainly put a smile on your face!

You can add it to your shopping cart with a $120 purchase.

I used the Strawberry Builder Punch(154239) and then added seeds with the Real Red Stampin’ Write and finished those berries off with a little Real Red ink sponged on for depth.

The layout from CAS(E) this sketch was my starting point.

Which is why I used a Gold Hoops embellishment to define the focal image.  TIP: Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the hoop, they are certainly tough enough hold it down!

DRAGONFLY GARDEN BUNDLE

I couldn’t pass up the chance to use the Dandy Laser Cut paper(154300) with this Dragonfly Garden Bundle.

It sure makes for a pretty background!  I went for a subtle pattern from the Dandy Garden DSP pack to help set it all off.

I felt that the dragonflies needed a bit of a boost, so used the Dark Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blend to add a little definition.

The whole card started off with the TGIF Challenge to use a background stamp and I felt that the Stacked Stone(152556) set was a good way to start.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS

Time is going by so quickly(believe it or not) so I decided to get some “love” cards made!  Today’s card with it’s Love you sentiment expresses it perfectly!

The Forever & Always Bundle(156200) is perfect for Valentine’s day cards! It combines lovely flowers and wonderful sentiments and the matching dies enable the perfect finish!

I followed along with the layout from Freshly Made Sketches and at the last minute, added the Gray Granite brick background for some extra colour and texture!

MISSING YOU

With everything that is going on and a “do not gather” order here in BC, I’ve been missing our stamping get togethers!  There are so many beautiful items in the 2021 January-June Mini Catalogue to share.  So here is one that I created with the Art Gallery Bundle(156227).

It’s pretty and simple and features the image beautifully.  I stamped the flower spray twice.  One with Old Olive Ink and the other with Misty Moonlight ink.  Then cut each out with the matching die and used paper snips to separate the flowers.  In order to play along with The Paper Players colour challenge, I added centres to the flowers with Blackberry Bliss ink as well as the sentiment.

When it is OK to get together again, we’ll be creating this card for sure!  Happy Stamping!

NEWS FLASH FROM THE DONKEY

News Flash!  The donkey speaks and I can’t help but agree with his message.

The feature is the darling donkey as well as the message from another Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Approaching Perfection(155282).  I just can’t help but laugh while agreeing with this message, lol!

For this card, I’m playing along with the new Designer’s Choice challenge from SUO(Stampin’ Up! only) Challenges.

GOOD THINGS GROW ALL YEAR

Good things grow all year – I love that sentiment and am going to make it my focus this year for sure!

Today’s card features that sentiment and some very pretty images from the Dragonfly Garden Bundle(156224).

I used an assortment of our Stampin’ Blends to colour them and felt that a background from the Tin Tile 3D embossing folder set them all off nicely!  I didn’t want to cover up the flower image so used a piece of Vellum cardstock for the greeting.  It also works in to the layout from CAS(E) this sketch.

Vellum can be tricky to adhere so I used a method that I found from another stamper.  Squeeze a bit of Multipurpose glue onto the Silicone Craft Sheet and then use a Stampin’ Sponge to dab on the glue.  Presto – no glue shows through!

A VERY BEARY HOORAY

Hi!  When I saw the teddy bear in the December Paper Pumpkin kit, I just had to re-activate my subscription!  There’s nothing like a cuddly teddy bear to put a huge smile on your face!

Awww, isn’t he a cutie?!  The Paper Pumpkin kits come complete with all of the pieces that you need to create the project but I stepped out of the box (so to speak, lol) and went with my own idea.

This card uses a piece of the Flower & Field designer paper(155223) from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue for a sweet background.  I coloured the bear with Crumb Cake and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends and shined up his nose with the Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker.

This whole card follows the sketch that TGIF Challenges posted on Friday.

Here’s the product list for you.  If you’re interested in getting a box full of stamping fun each month, make sure to click on the Paper Pumpkin picture!

MY FIRST “SKINNY” CARD

Hi there and welcome to Friday!  Today, I’m showing you my very first “skinny” card.  I’ve never made one before but really love the way this one turned out!

I kept it simple with a few images from the Prettiest Birthday Bundle(156247).  But… I felt that the background mat needed a little something, so used the new Painted Textures 3D embossing folder to add that something!

This is my entry for the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge of 2021!

The Pastel Pearls(154317) from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue were calling to me and they are the perfect finish for this prettiest birthday card!
