RIDE THIS JOYFUL SLEIGH

The weather has turned a little chilly up here, which led me to the Warm & Toasty stamp set(152615) with it’s oh-so cute critters.  These little bunnies are singing joyfully in their tiny sleigh!

I’m really enjoying using the Joy Dies(153530) – they make it easy to add a mat to those words.  In order to play along with the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge I needed to separate the letters so they would line up along the edge.  Love it!

I would like to take this opportunity to say Thank You to the design team at CAS(E) this sketch for picking this card as one of the favourites last week!

Here’s a close look at the Joy dies,

you can see the “extra” dies that will give you those layers that help to accent the words!

PEACEFUL BOUGHS 2020

Our weather is definitely changing to fall here in northeastern BC!  Each day is showing the changing leaves which says that winter is close behind!  So, today’s card is for Christmas 2020 with the Peaceful Boughs stamp set(150541).  This set also has matching dies(Beautiful Boughs) that you can find on page 180 of the annual catalogue.

This set is carried over from last year and I didn’t use it enough so today is the day to showcase it’s loveliness!  I also pulled out the Toile Christmas set for the greeting.

I also wanted to play along with the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge so followed the outline given in the sketch.

FROM THE POLAR BEAR

Hi and welcome!  Today, I’m quoting the Polar Bear with this cute card!

I have been eyeing up that cute little bear and today was the perfect time to introduce him!  He “lives” in the Warm & Toasty stamp set(152615).

This card started out with this great layout from Freshly Made Sketches and went from there.

The Winter Snow Embossing folder was the perfect backdrop for this little cutie and of course, pieces of the Snowflake Splendor designer paper!

A TREE FOR THE SEASON

Hi!  Today’s card is a pretty, seasonal tree from the In The Pines Bundle(155182).

Of course, I used the new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss(149653) machine for all of the embossing and cutting details on this card.

And, it all started with the new Tic-Tac-Toe challenge from The Paper Players.

I actually used an “extra” element with the Snowflake Sequins(150443) ’cause that tree absolutely needed those pretty snowflakes!

BRIGHT SNOWFLAKE WISHES

I’m not wishing for snow right now but when it comes those snowflakes will be bright and plentiful!  The title of this post does show the brightness of the snowflakes on today’s card though!

I used the Snowflake Wishes Bundle(155172) and a bit of the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper(153513) to add some bright sparkle!

This layout was taken from the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge and I kept it simple so the Glimmer paper would shine!

WHAT DO THE MICE SAY

Introducing my version of Micky and Minnie and what do these little mice say?  Well, they are sending Christmas cheer of course.

The Warm & Toasty stamp set(152615) has so many very cute images and I just had to use these mice for today’s card.

The Paper Players posted this sketch challenge so I was game to give it a try and the mouse image was perfect for the focal point!

I had a little fun colouring them as well as with those really fun images from the “Tis the season designer paper pack(153489).

SNOWFLAKE WISHES IN AUGUST?

Today I’m introducing the Snowflake Wishes Bundle – in August!  Well, in my defence, we have gotten snow up here is August.  Not this year but the intense heat had me thinking of the snow that will be here in a couple of months!

This bundle(155172) is a beauty, especially when paired up with the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and those tiny snowflake sequins.

I was following along with the new CAS(E) this sketch layout so it  was easy to highlight those beautiful layers of snowflakes!

The matching Snowflake Splendor designer paper makes for a very beautiful and soft background.

WARM & TOASTY

From summer flowers to warm and toasty winter!  Only in the stamping world!  I just couldn’t resist the snowman in the new Warm & Toasty stamp set(152615) that’s in the 2020 Aug-Dec Mini Catalogue!

Isn’t that the cutest snowman ever?!  And, he can skate!  I kept this card really clean and simple so that active snowman would stand out.  His scarf was coloured with Stampin’ Write Markers, Shaded Spruce, Real Red and Seaside Spray.  A background mat of Real Red sets him off along with the red in the “Tis the Season Designer Paper.

A cute card to add to my Christmas card stash.  Christmas is coming, so now is the time to get started on your Christmas crafting.  I’ll be posting card classes for September through December soon, so stay tuned.

Happy Stamping!

YES, I DID!

Yes, I did!  I’m posting the very first Christmas card of 2020 from my stamp room!

The Toile Christmas stamp set(150469) made it into the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, so why not get started early?  Especially since this has been a “topsy-turvy” year, who says one can’t think of Christmas in the month of July?!

Did you also notice the Toile Tidings designer paper?  It was carried over to the August-December Mini Catalogue so I pulled out a piece for this card as well.

The card layout is simple to show off that beautiful cardinal and to follow along with the new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
