HEARTS TO YOU

A big welcome to you! Today is another card that give a great idea for your Valentine greeting with this Hearts to You card.

I was following along with the CAS(E) this sketch challenge,

and used the Lace Dynamic Textured Impressions embossing folder to get that embossed edge. The Meant to Be bundle has a great framelit that give you a line-up of tiny hearts so I picked a few to add to edge. (The Take Your Pick tool is great for picking up tiny pieces!)

Wow, what a cold and snowy weekend we had! So, while I was tucked away in my stamp room I went to the Humming Along Cling stamp set to put a little spring warmth in my day!

This card is one of the pretties we’ll be creating at this Wednesday’s class! So simple but packing a Wow with the Blueberry Bushel coloured Humming bird!

I am playing along last minute with the new Freshly Made Sketches layout and used the Envelope Punch Board to round those corners on the background designer paper!

I couldn’t think of a better way to end the week than with this pretty card created with the Meant to Be Cling Bundle. Valentine’s day is just around the corner after all!

The Lace Dynamic embossing folder makes a great background to highlight that lovely heart! It was heat embossed with Gold Emboss powder and then cut out with the matching Be Mine Stitched Framelits Dies. (Buy the bundle and save 10%) So pretty!

The Humming Along Cling Bundle has an amazingly beautiful flower in it so today’s card features it!

That amazing flower was coloured with the Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blends combo to make it pop! The matching Hummingbird Framelits Dies are the perfect accessory to cut out that bright flower and the perfect label for the sentiment!

It all looks great with the Lemon Lime Twist card base and the new Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series paper! You must check this package out – it has so many beautiful designs to use on your projects!

Today I’m showing off two great cling stamp sets from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue. Presenting…….Lovely Lattice and Part of My Story!

Isn’t it just so beautiful? I see many opportunities with this stamp set – you can make that spray of flowers any colour that you want! I choose to use the colours that The Paper Players challenged us to use, Grapefruit Grove, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight. The fourth colour I choose is Mint Macaron for the leaves!

The greeting is from the Part of My Story stamp set and I did some “masking” to get just the word – friend.

TIP: I use scotch tape to cover up the part of the stamp that I don’t want to show. Just ink it up, remove the tape and then stamp your preferred word!

When I first saw the Geared Up Garage cling bundle I just had to have it. What better stamp set to create with for the guys in my life! My husband and eldest grandson both drag race so it was the perfect choice for cards for them!

My grandson’s birthday is next week so guess where this one is going, lol!

The matching Classic Garage 6″ x6″ designer series paper adds just the right touch too! This bundle and matching accessories will be a focus of an upcoming Card Class, so stay tuned!

Happy day to you and thank you for visiting! Today’s card features the new Climbing Roses Cling stamp set from the 2019 Occasions Catalogue.

I kept it simple and did a little colouring with our Stampin’ Write Markers! I cut the large mat panel out with the new Rectangle Stitched dies – perfect for adding that subtle border!

Freshly Made Sketches posted this great layout which made it easy to go for this simple and clean look.

It’s been a chilly week (-20c or -4 fahrenheit) here in northeastern British Columbia so I went to the Animal Outing stamp set for a little warmth with this very cute Kangaroo and her joey!

The Paper Players posted a theme challenge “Crazy About Critters” and what better way to portray that than with the Animal Outing stamp set.

Our Stampin’ Blends added colour and the Big Shot die-cutting machine helped to create that narrow frame for those two cuties!

MONOCHROMATIC BUTTERFLIES

Hi and welcome to Cynthia’s Creative Corner! Today’s card is a study in Monochromatic using the beautiful Highland Heather colour from Stampin’ Up!

Of course, I started with a card base of Highland Heather cardstock! Then I added that beautiful piece of Botanical Butterfly designer paper that is Free(with qualifying purchase) from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.

The butterflies themselves were stamped onto Shimmery White cardstock with Jet Black Stazon in and then overstamped with Highland Heather ink. I used an Aqua Painter to lighten the colour on the wings to give it a little contrast. I enjoy attending Cynthia’s card and scrapbook classes. Her studio is comfortable and bright. I really like the colour combinations she uses. She is very organized and does the prep work allowing you to concentrate on the techniques. She is very flexible, even if you want to make some changes to make the project “your own”.
