THE SPIRIT OF PEACE

OK, back to Christmas cards – this one uses the beautiful greeting from Peaceful Boughs stamp set(150541) and a touch of snow from the Snowflake Wishes stamp set(153444).

I think that lovely sentiment deserves to be front and centre, don’t you?  Then all it needed was a few snowflakes for framing.

The layout for this card comes from the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge which is perfect for adding those pieces from the Feels Like Frost designer paper pack!

A LITTLE DIE-CUTTING GOES A LONG WAY

Hello to you!  I chose to do some die-cutting on today’s card that features the Snow Globe Scenes dies(150655) and a couple others!

Those die-cut animals keep with the theme in the Toile Christmas designer paper for sure!  I cut out the squares in Just Jade and then tucked them into the Greenery Embossing Folder(152716) to add some texture.  Then decided that I needed some Shaded Spruce pine boughs so brought out the Beautiful Boughs dies for that job!

The greeting was “masked” to fit on that one smaller square and relays the sentiment of the season perfectly!

This whole layout was inspired by the Freshly Made Sketches challenge for this week.

ENJOY THE STILLNESS OF THE SEASON

Happy Friday to you and welcome!  Since we have a lot of snow, my thoughts turned to the Still Scenes stamp set(150503) and matching Snow Globe Scenes dies(150655) for today’s card.

That house just looks so pretty surrounded by trees and sitting in the snow!  I choose to heat emboss it with Silver Emboss Powder and added that lovely greeting from the Merry Moose stamp set(150494).

The designer paper pieces from Feels like Frost make up the soft background to play along with the new Freshly Made Sketches layout.

ONE IN A MILLION

Today’s card features the new Quite Curvy Bundle with it’s super fun “you’re one in a million” greeting.

It’s a fairly simple card that showcases the curved leaf image and greeting and would make a great “guy” card!  I also used the Stacked Stone(152556) background stamp to create that large tag.  This is my submission to play along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

WARM WISHES TO YOU

Hi on this chilly day in northeast BC!  I’m sending warm wishes from the bear in the Warm & Toasty stamp set(152615)!

This bear is what caught my eye for this stamp set, he looks so happy!  I did a little “masking” for the greeting by using a couple of pieces of tape to cover the part I didn’t want.  Just make sure to remove the tape after inking it up.

This whole layout came from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and I took advantage by using pieces from both the Plaid Tidings(153527) and “Tis the Season(153489) designer papers.

To colour the scarf and hat, I used the Real Red Stampin’ Write Marker from the Regals collection and touched up the skates and his face with the Basic Black Marker.(you can purchase this one individually100082).

THE PINES

I’m adding one more Christmas card to my pile today!  This one uses the In The Pines stamp set(153448) framed in garden green.

Since these are a two-step stamping collection, I took advantage and used both Garden Green and Pretty Peacock ink to fill in that lovely grove of trees.  If you look really closely, you will see some tiny snowflakes falling gently on the trees.

I was inspired to use this layout from the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

My panel doesn’t have as many sections, but I really like the way it turned out!

BEAUTIFUL FALL FOLIAGE

Wow, it’s the Friday of our Canadian Thanksgiving weekend and our beautiful fall foliage is showing it’s colourful splendor!  So, why not create a card with just a touch of those colours!

I started with a card base of Thick Very Vanilla cardstock and used the Subtle Embossing folder to add a little texture.  The next step was to ruffle through my unfinished projects bowl and voilå, found some leaves from the Forever Fern Bundle!  There were added to accent that lovely piece from the Gilded Autumn specialty designer paper!  A simple card with a cheery hello!

Then I followed along with the new layout from Freshly Made Sketches for the rest!

IN THE PINES BUNDLE

Hi and welcome!  Today’s card features the In The Pines Bundle and a fun (but messy) technique!

This In The Pines stamp set is a “2-step” stamping set and I wanted the trees to have snow on them!  So, I used the 2nd step image and heat embossed it with White Emboss Powder.  Then added the Garden Green ink after.  The messy part is that the ink stays wet – but a quick blast from the Heat Tool helps to set it so you don’t get it all over your fingers!

The background designer paper design in from the “Tis the Season pack(153489) and you can save 15% when you purchase it this month.

I pulled the new sketch layout from Freshly Made Sketches and used it as a starting point.

This is a simple card that delivers a bright Christmas greeting, especially with the touch of red ribbon!

THE SEASON OF SPARKLE IS COMING

Ok, with the chilly weather setting in I couldn’t help but create a card with sparkly snowflakes!  And……today being the 25th means that Christmas is only 3 months away!

I pulled out the retired Silver Glimmer paper for this because it just seemed right to add that special sparkle.  And that led to using the Silver Emboss Powder for the sparkly greeting along with a beautiful design from the Snowflake Splendor designer paper(153512).

The layout came about because of the new Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

Here’s the list of products used.  Note, the silver glimmer paper is not listed.

THE STARS HAVE IT

I’m going to end this week with a tribute to the stars in our life – our grandkids!  They are truly stars to us any day of the year!

Our two eldest grandkids are always available to come out and help with yard work so this star-laden card is for them!  I’m playing along with the newest Freshly Made Sketches layout and decided to move out of the circle to use the Stitched Stars dies(150653) and had a cutting fine time!

There was a lot of gluing going on too!  The Fine-Tip Glue Pen for all of the small stars and our Multipurpose Liquid Glue for the gold foil star.

Here’s the list of products used.
