INSPIRATION IS EVERYWHERE

It may be a little early for dragonflies, so why not create your own.

This colourful pair look great flying around don’t you think?  I stamped them with the Jet Black Stazon ink and used an assortment of Stampin’ Write markers to colour them.  Since dragonfly wings show iridescent, I added a touch of Wink of Stella(141897).

This curvy layout was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches.

I don’t have a curvy die, so I lightly marked the curves in pencil and cut them out by hand.  TIP:  when using paper snips, make sure to move the paper as it gives a cleaner cut.

KANGAROO & COMPANY

Hi and welcome!  Today’s card is a CASE(Copy and Share Everything).  I pulled out the Kangaroo & Company Bundle(156269) ’cause it’s just too cute!

You can find the original of this card on page 17 of the January-June 2021 Catalogue.

There was a lot of die-cutting going on, lol, but it was worth it to end up with this very cute card!  It could be used as a birthday greeting, congratulations or baby card – you choose!

The reason I did this CASE was to play along with the SUO Challenge for this week.

Here’s the long list of products used.  Hint – the Kangaroo & Company Bundle is going away on June 30.

LOVE ALWAYS

Love always makes things just a little better and it’s always time to send love thoughts!  Especially when you have the Forever & Always Bundle(156200).

Check out that beautiful designer paper!  It’s perfect when you want to add a little shine to your greeting and comes from the Love You Always specialty designer paper package(154280).

I stamped the flower in black and then added a bit more pop by embossing with Clear Emboss – it really makes the black pop.

The greeting was cut out in black and then I got the bright idea to use the Foam Adhesive Sheets(152815) to pop up the letter “L”.

This layout that I followed came from The Paper Players and leaves lots of room for interpretation.

AN ODE TO SPRING

Spring is coming – it’s just taking its time up here, lol.  I can hardly wait to see the flowers in our gardens bloom!  But, when you have stamps you can make your own flowers – so here you go.

I played with the Art Gallery Bundle(156227) and a piece from the Fine Art Floral designer paper(154558) to set up the background.  And a piece of ribbon from the Playing with Patterns ribbon combo doesn’t hurt either!

This is a 2-step stamping set which makes it easy to create a lovely blend of colours for your flowers!

A DIFFERENT COLOUR COMBO

This card is a different colour combination for me.  I wasn’t sure about it but it has “grown on me”.

The card base is the soon to be retired Rococo Rose 2019-2021 InColor.  I added some Blackberry Bliss with the circles and that is what had me wondering about the colours.  But, as I said, it has grown on me especially with the colourful dragonflies!  They were punched out of the Dandy Garden designer paper(154297).  I also punched out some of the tiny dragonflies with basic white and then glued the images from the paper over top.  The only stamping on this card is the greeting from the Many Messages Bundle(156272).

Before I get to the products list, the RETIRING LIST will be posted later today.  Make sure to check it out on my FACEBOOK PAGE to see which items you need to get before they are gone!

TO A GREAT GUY

Hi there.  It had occurred to me that I haven’t created any “guy” cards lately so today’s is a blend of that along with a cool technique.

I follow Stampin’ Up! on facebook and came across this cool technique on their page.  It involves using the new Blending Brushes(153611) and a Garden Green ink pad.  Start with the Dandy Laser Cut paper and add the ink using the blending brush.  Do it carefully though, so you don’t tear the paper.  It took several “layers” of colour to get the depth I was looking for.  Then, using a sponge, I added touches of Versamark, sprinkled some Heat & Stick powder and added just a bit of heat with the Heat Tool.  Heat just until the powder turns dark and then add the Gilded Leafing(154560).  I also used the Heat Tool to set it a bit more after brushing the extra away.

To make it more of a guy card, I used the Dragonfly Garden Bundle.  NOTE:  This card measures 3-1/2″ x 5″ so there would’nt be a large border around the laser cut.

BALLONS FOR A BIRTHDAY

Welcome to a brand new week and a brand new birthday card.  The Prettiest Birthday bundle(156247) is so pretty and fun to use with it’s pretty images!

I matted this card with a piece from the Playing with Patterns designer paper(152490) to mimic the balloons.  I also decided not to colour those balloon so they would stand out with that delicious-looking cake.  What flavour do you think it is?  I’m thinking chocolate!

This card was inspired by the latest challenge from SUO Challenges to use food or drink as the theme and in my mind, chocolate cake is it’s own food group, lol!

A WISH FOR YOU

Today’s project features an old favourite of mine, Forever Blossoms(151457).

Those beautiful blossoms were coloured with Highland Heather, Old Olive and a touch of Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends combos. When finished with the colouring, I decided to shine it up so stamped the entire image with Versamark and then added Clear Emboss Powder.  Isn’t it great how it brightened it up?

I wanted a pretty font for the greeting so borrowed it from the Prettiest Birthday stamp set(154458) that’s in the January – June Catalogue.

I haven’t played along with The Paper Players in a while, so this was the perfect opportunity to use their Colour Challenge.

THANK YOU TO YOU

A big thank you today for your patience.  This blog has been undergoing a big change so posting has been limited.  There are still more changes to come but for now I wanted to share this card with you.

I combined the Ornate Style Bundle(154119) with the Many Messages Bundle(156272) and some colouring to bring you these bright flowers!

I love the fancy of the Ornate Layers dies and used a piece of Pretty Peacock for that lovely frame.  Pretty Peacock is one of the InColors that is going away by May 4, 2021!  If you really love the 2019-2021 InColors I highly recommend that you get them soon as these products tend to sell out quickly!

Make sure to check out the product list for today’s card.

FLY DRAGONFLY, FLY

Hi out there and welcome.  Today it’s all about flying things so I chose to use the Dragonfly Garden stamp set(154411).

The Dandy Laser Cut Paper(154300) and a bit of the Dandy Garden designer paper(154297) make for a very pretty card IMO!

The designs in the Laser Cut package come in white but you can use the Blending Brushes to add colour which sure helps to pop out the images on this card.  Just a note though, the Blending Brushes have been so popular that they are temporarily unavailable.  So I recommend that you use a stamping sponge(141337) to get this coloured effect.

I frequently like to play along with the SUO Challenges(Stampin’ Up! only) and this card fits in with their latest challenge, which is “Sky High-Anything That Flies”.
