SIMPLE MOMENTS LOOK GOOD IN LOVELY LIPSTICK

Hi and welcome!  Today’s card is a study in Lovely Lipstick and gold.

There was a piece of Lovely Lipstick cardstock sitting on my desk so I played around with the “masking” technique and the Home to Roost Cling Stamp set.  The rest of the card just came along after that.  The card base was embossed with the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions embossing folder to add a bit of texture.  Then I decided that the Gold Foil would be a great mat for that handsome gold embossed rooster.

Check this post for a little direction on the “masking” technique.

There’s something else that’s new on this card – check out the background!  That is the Country Floral Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder that gives a beautiful impression loaded with flowers!

ANNIVERSARY GREETINGS

Hi and welcome!  Yesterday’s card showed just a bit of the Painted Seasons Bundle so today I created an anniversary card that uses the whole bundle.

Isn’t it pretty?  The background mat is just one of the beautiful designs that are in the Painted Seasons designer series paper that goes with the Painted Seasons stamp set.

I used a Sponge Dauber to add a little touch of Flirty Flamingo ink to the Petal pink as well as a bit of Mossy Meadow ink for the leaves.  Then all of those pretty flowers and leaves were “fussy” cut with Paper Snips.  Yup, I did that!

The Story Label Punch is responsible for that lovely label that I arrange those flowers on.  This punch is also available in the Sale-A-Bration Coordination special.

PAINTED SEASONS DISTINKTIVE

Good day to you and welcome!  Today’s post features another Distinktive stamp set that’s available as a qualifying Free choice from the 2nd Sale-A-Bration release.

It’s the Painted Seasons Bundle (150349) that includes some fabulous designer series paper.

I chose to use just the stamped images for this card.

Love that flower!  I used the masking technique to add that spray of leaves and another technique which you saw in the video I posted last week.  The flower image was inked up with Melon Mambo ink and then I added Pumpkin Pie ink using a sponge dauber.  The same technique was used on the leaves using Granny Apple Green and Call Me Clover ink.

CAS(E) this sketch posted this sketch this week and that is why my card is so clean and simple.

THOUGHTS OF YOU

Welcome and thank you for visiting today!  Do you scroll around through Pinterest for ideas?  I sometimes do and found a beautiful card that uses the Climbing Roses cling bundle. Well, I decided to re-create it myself and this is what I came up with.

I started off by using the Highland Heather and Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Markers and an Aqua Painter to colour those beautiful roses.  I applied the colour with the markers and then used the Aqua Painter to spread and lighten it.  You can also pick up the colour from the marker tip and apply it that way.  Either method works very well.

The rest was putting together these lovely colours and adding a piece of the Grapefruit Grove Organdy Ribbon from the Combo Pack that’s in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.

I hope that you are inspired to give this colouring method a try, it’s not as hard as it sounds.

MANY LOVELY ROSES WISHING FOR SPRING

Me and these many lovely roses are very fervently wishing for spring!  One of the best things about having a stamping business is that you can create your own season any time you want!  All it takes is some cardstock, ink and a great stamp set like the Climbing Roses Cling Bundle.

I used the Petal Pink and Shaded Spruce combo Stampin’ Blends to colour those little beauties and cut them out with the matching thinlit die.  Don’t they look so pretty sitting on that trellis and label?  I used a combination of Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals and Glue Dots to arrange them.

This would make a great Valentine’s card but my thoughts when making it were for an anniversary or wedding!  It’s perfect for either one!

ONE LAYER ROSES AND A FUN TECHNIQUE

There’s nothing more postage friendly than a one layer card, especially when it carries a bundle of beautiful roses!

I tried a new-to-me technique for this one and love the way it turned out!  The rose bundle stamp and greeting were lined up on the Stamparatus, inked up with Versamark and then stamped onto the Tranquil Tide cardstock.  (TIP: rub the cardstock with the Embossing Buddy to eliminate any static).  Then add the Gold Emboss powder and heat set.

This is where the colouring fun comes in, I used our Watercolor Pencils to add colour to the roses and leaves and then outlined them all with the White Pencil.  So very cool.

I’m thinking of trying this on a lighter card base just to see what it will look like.

Here’s the very short list of products that I used.

TEATIME GIGGLES

The Tea Together Cling stamp set is so very pretty and lots of fun to create with so I combined it with the Part of My Story stamp set to get this pretty card!

It doesn’t hurt to add piece of the beautiful Floral Romance Specialty Designer series paper either.  The background pieces are just two of the beautiful designs found in this package.  Check it out.

Cutting out those lovely tea cups was easy too with the Tea Time Framelits dies – they are a FREE choice from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue and I highly recommend that you add them when purchasing the Tea Together stamp set!

Here’s the list of everything I used to finish this so very pretty card.
