SHADES OF BROWN

It may seem strange to use browns in the springtime, but spring colours come in many shades and brown is just one of them!

I’m happy to say that the Forever Blossoms stamp set and matching dies are staying around for another year – BUT – purchase them now as a bundle and save 10%.  I pulled a piece of the retiring Magnolia Lane designer paper for the background and added that touch of Blushing Bride for a light pop of colour.

The branch of lovely blossoms was first stamped with Early Espresso and then over-stamped with Versamark, sprinkled with Clear Emboss powder and heat set!  I did the same with that beautiful greeting from the new Tasteful Textures stamp set.  I also used the Tasteful Textures embossing folder for the card base.

SUO Challenges latest challenge is a designer’s choice so I’m playing along with today’s card.  I am also playing along with Colour INKspiration for the colour challenge.

SAY HAPPY ANNIVERSARY WITH TO A WILD ROSE

Today’s card features the To A Wild Rose bundle(151073) with assistance from a new stamp set, Many Mates(available on June 3rd).  I love all of the different sentiments in this set!

The To A Wild Rose set is a 3-step stamping set so you can create these beautiful flowers with different shades of ink.  I used a combination of Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo for these brightly beautiful blooms.

The background is a piece of new designer paper called In Good Taste(also available on June 3rd).

The layout comes from this week’s sketch challenge from The Paper Players.

Here’s the list of some of the products used, I’m not listing the new products yet.

WHEN IN DOUBT CASE THE CATALOGUE

Whenever I am “stuck” as to how to use a new stamp set and dies, I CASE(Copy and Share Everything) the catalogue.  So today’s card is my interpretation of a card in the new 2020-2021 Catalogue(page 43).

This was created using the Many Mates Bundle and those dies are interesting and a little challenging to use.  But, following along with the picture, I was able to get it done!

After cutting out the medallion pattern, I brushed extra colour on by using the Smoky Slate ink pad and then glued it down using the Fine-Tip glue pen.  This card uses quite a few new items, Misty Moonlight 1/2″ twill ribbon, Flowers for every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and the In Good Taste Elements.

Here’s the list of products used.

A BRIGHT BUNCH OF SUNFLOWERS

Welcome and happy Monday to you!  I was working with the new and coming soon Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle over the weekend and here they are!

I wanted to step up my colouring so used different shades of yellow and green Stampin’ Blends to get a more realistic look.  They are the Daffodil Delight combo and the So Saffron combo as well as the Shaded Spruce combo and Mint Macaron combo.  I think it worked out fine, what do you think?

The Garden Lane designer paper is going away by June 2nd, so I had to use up some more scraps for the background.  Make sure to check out the Last Chance(retiring products) Sale to stock up before everything goes away!

Here’s the product list for you.  Note: it’s missing the Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle because I can’t show it off to you just yet.

BRIGHT FLOWERS FOR A RAINY DAY

It’s definitely spring up here with all of the green leaves, lawns and budding flowers!  However, it is a rainy day and this card helps to brighten things up!

Two of my favourite colours, green and yellow with a bright pop of red added!  I kept with the package of Garden Lane designer paper(using up the scraps) for the background and relaxed by colouring that lovely bouquet with our Stampin’ Blends.  This bouquet is from the new Jar of Flowers stamp set and I’m pretty sure that I will be using it a lot.

REMINDER:  LAST CHANCE LISTS

The retiring products are still available right up to June 2, 2020 so make sure to check them all out.  Here’s the link to my Website.

The list of products I used is below but without showing the Jar of Flowers stamp set and the Just Jade ribbon.

HAVE A LOVELY BIRTHDAY

Birthdays are blooming here along with the flowers!  I’m also happy to report that the trees are budding and showing a light touch of green!  A good sign that spring is arriving here in northeastern BC, Canada!

So, to celebrate both a birthday and blooming flowers, I created this card!

Soft Sea Foam was the perfect choice to echo the soft green leaves that are budding around us.  I also choose to use soft colours for the flowers and added a touch of bling with our Rhinestone basic jewels.

This very clean and simple layout comes from the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

Sometimes clean and simple is best so the focus will stand out just a little more.  Especially when using soft, light colours!

IT’S A BEAUTY

To end this week with a little beauty, I’ve created a card with a beautiful soft purple flower!

I loved putting Highland Heather and Granny Apple Green together, it’s such a bright and happy combination!  I used the Band Together Bundle(151076) for this and “spoiler alert” both the stamp set and dies are in the new 2020-2021 Catalogue!  However – they will not be a bundle, so I recommend that you save 10% by getting it before the end of this month!

GOLDEN THOUGHTS OF YOU

Hi there and welcome.  Today, I’m going golden to send thoughts to someone special.

The Mosaic Mood Specialty designer paper(149478) is very beautiful and works perfectly with my golden thoughts idea!  I’m finding that I’m using much more designer paper lately because it is all going away when the new Annual Catalogue comes in.

This golden label was created to play along with The Paper Players challenge to add sparkle to our project.

Here’s the list of products used.  Even though we are all keeping our distance from one another, my Online Store is open and delivery will go directly to you.

DO SOMETHING CREATIVE EVERY DAY

Are you getting your creative side on?  There’s a stamp set that encourages creativity called Crafting Forever(151231) and that is what today’s card is about!

I did some colouring with our fabulous Stampin’ Blends and added a careful touch with the Seaside Spray Stampin’ Write marker.  TIP:  Why a careful touch – because I used the Tuxedo Black Memento ink, and alcohol markers need to be used to prevent bleeding.

Why these colours?  Because I’m playing along with The Paper Players colour challenge this week and we are to use Seaside Spray, So Saffron and Grey Granite.

Here’s the list of products used.

SIMPLE AND FUN

Hi out there and thank you for stopping in!  Today’s card is really simple with a little fun thrown in.

I wanted to use the Praiseworthy Prose Bundle(151077) and had a few ideas on the go before I settled for this!  The whole idea started when I took a look at the new CAS(E) this sketch challenge.

It’s a “doozie” as my grandma would say so it took a lot of thinking to follow the sketch.  And that is why I chose the bright Pacific Point so the whole layout would stand out.

Here’s the list of products used.
