FOR A PEACEFUL BIRTHDAY

Hello and welcome!  Today’s card is a step away from Christmas to celebrate a birthday.  We have a lot of birthday’s to celebrate in December and I’m building up my stash!

I haven’t used the Forever Fern Bundle(154094) for quite a while and it helped to make this card come together just the way I liked!

There are a couple of other pieces of the Forever Fern Suite on this card too, check out the Gold Hoop Embellishment(152474) and the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo(152475).

The background to this lovely card plays along with The Paper Players latest sketch challenge too!

I was also really happy to see that my card from last week was chosen as one of the “Cut Above” submissions.  Thank you to the crew at The Paper Players!

SAFE AT HOME

Hi and welcome!  Staying home is the theme for these times so why not show off the beauty of a home surrounded by winter by using the Still Scenes stamp set(150503)!

I used an assortment of Stampin’ Blends to colour that lovely scene and added a touch of Shimmery Crystal Effects(150892) to add the sparkle to the snow!

Clean and simple holidays is The Paper Players theme this week and I think this card will cover it with that beautiful sentiment!

Happy Day and happy stamping to you!

WARM WISHES FROM THE BEAR

Well, since it’s so cold outside, i couldn’t help but pull out the Warm & Toasty stamp set(152615) for today’s card!  That little polar bear was the perfect image to share warm wishes!

I stamped the bear image onto a piece of vellum cardstock and then backed it with a silver piece from the Feels Like Frost specialty DSP(150444) to create the “ornament”.

The Paper Players posted a Colour Challenge of Real Red, Shaded Spruce and Whisper White plus Silver or Gold,

so I heat embossed that little cutie with Silver Emboss Powder.

The other colours are shown in the “Tis the Season Designer Paper and Real Red Twine.

HAVE A CURVY BIRTHDAY

Hi!  What is a curvy birthday?  Well, there’s a new stamp set promotion coming on November 3, 2020 that shows a variety of curvy images and greetings.  Today, I’m showing you a sneak peak of just one of those stamp sets!

This card was created using the Quite Curvy Bundle and it is so pretty!  I paired the images up with a piece from the Forever Greenery designer paper(152492) to highlight those lovely leaves and pretty bluebirds!

The matching dies to this set make it easy to cut out the curves and I used one as a guideline for the birthday greeting.

Thanks to The Paper Players new sketch challenge for the great layout!  Here’s their sketch.

BIRTHDAY’S AND COOKIES GO TOGETHER

Who likes chocolate chip cookies?  Me, me, me!  I had fun with the Nothing’s Better Than Bundle for today’s very orange card!

With, those delicious chocolate chips cookies!!!  I am playing along with two challenges today.  The Paper Players,

and, SUO Challenges which is to feature birthdays!

Who says you can’t have cookies instead of cake for a birthday!  I used the Word Wishes Dies(151816)  for the birthday greeting and added the extra challenge of using our Foam Adhesive Sheets(152815) to cut out those words.  They pop those words up nicely, but make a note that you really need to carry a lot of patience when popping out all of the tiny bits, lol.  Ask me how I know!

THE MOOSE IN FALL

Hi and welcome!  I’m back to fall for today’s card.  Our yard sees lots of visits from deer and moose, so I pulled out the returning favourite, Merry Moose Bundle(153015)!

This is a “2-step” stamp so it’s easy to get the details for the moose image!  Use the Stamparatus(146276)* for easy placement of the 2 colours!

I wanted this guy/girl to be surrounded by trees and leaves so add the piece of designer paper from the Gilded Autumn package. And, a little embossing with the Woodland Embossing folder for the background.

There, The Paper Players theme challenge achieved!

THANKFUL FOR THE PUMPKIN

Welcome to you!  Today I made my own pumpkin because that’s what you have to do when you don’t have a pumpkin stamp, lol!

There it is in all of its shiny metallic glory!  I’m pretty proud of it actually and thankful that I purchased the beautiful Brushed Metallic Cardstock(153524) to use.  Then, all it took was the Layering Ovals dies(the smallest one) to cut out 5 ovals!  Then, to add some texture, out came the Subtle embossing folder.  I attached each oval using our Mini Glue Dots to form the pumpkin shape.  The leaves are courtesy of the Forever Blossoms stamp set and matching Cherry Blossom Dies.

I really liked the card layout challenge posted by The Paper Players and it fit well with my autumn-themed card.

MY GUYS

Hi there.  Today I am paying tribute to my guys, Max and Riley.  Max was our Cairn Terrier and Riley our orange tabby cat!

I do miss their footsteps and snuggles!  They had an amenable relationship most of the time, lol, but there were other times that made life very interesting and hilarious!

The Paper Players challenge came at just the right time, when my guys were on my mind, so I played along!

JUST SAYING HELLO

Hello to you on this Thursday!  I’m excited to share a card that I created with the Tasteful Touches stamp set(152562)!

This set does not have matching dies, so fussy-cutting was in order.  I also used the “Masking Technique” to make sure that those beautiful images really pop!  All you need to do for this technique is stamp the main image that you are using onto a post-it note and cut it out.  So, I stamped the flower image first, then covered it with the post-it note(the mask) and then stamped the sprays over top.  When you remove the mask, you have this lovely image left.

I’m playing along with The Paper Players for this,

and one of the items to use was glitter – so I added that with the Shimmery Crystal Effects pen(150892).  Then, for good measure added the mat of Brushed Metallic cardstock.

Here’s the list of products used.  You’ll see that I included the Heat Tool – it was used to set the crystal effects.

MY GUY CARD

Hi – welcome to my version of a “guy” card for today!

Not all masculine cards need to be the darker colours so I started off with a card base of Balmy Blue and went from there!  I’ve been playing with the Many Medallions Dies(153584) a lot lately and decided to use it with the Brushed Metallic cardstock.  Glad I did because it turned out beautifully!  TIP:  You might want to use a cardstock shim when cutting out the metallic paper to make it easier to get rid of all of those tiny pieces!

There were a few stamped pieces from the Forever Fern Bundle in my UFP(unfinished projects) container, so I pulled them out to use and “borrowed” the sentiment from Tasteful Touches(152562).

This is my submission of a masculine-themed card to play along with one of my favourite challenge sites, The Paper Players.
