Good Morning and welcome to Monday! I had a bit of a glitch with Saturday’s post so here it is today.
A very good friend of ours is celebrating a milestone birthday this month and I thought that he would like this card.
The reference to Christmas in the title is because the designer paper I used comes from the Letters to Santa Designer Series paper. Cool, isn’t it?
I got inspiration for this sketch from the Paper Players. It’s too late to play along but it’s a great card layout and I’m certain to be using it again.
So, I started with a card base of Early Espresso and matted the designer paper to a piece of Marina Mist.
The sentiment comes from a new Hostess set in the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue(click here to download your copy) called Happiest Birthday Wishes. You can earn this set yourself just by hosting your own Workshop(or Home Party as I like to call them). Click here to check my Calendar for dates.
I used the “direct to stamp” coloring method to achieve the different colors on both the sentiment and the gifts. It’s done by using a Stampin’ Write Marker to color directly on the stamp and then huffing on the colored image before stamping it onto your cardstock. It’s easy and a great way to add extra interest to your image.
