GREENHOUSE GALA AND A TUTORIAL - Cynthia Stevenson, Stampin Up! Demonstrator

Good Morning friends. Due to unforseen circumstances the Stamp-a-holics challenge has been postponed to next week. Sorry about that, but life happens doesn’t it.

In the meantime, here’s a little notepad that I first made at a class my Upline held a while back. I’ve changed it a bit to incorporate the beautiful new Designer Series Paper, Greenhouse Gala. The stamp set used is the Clear Mount Hostess set from the Summer Mini Catalogue, It’s the Thought (120027). Yes, you can still order from this catalogue until August 31, 2010.

I purchased a package of 8″ x 5″ notepads from a local stationery store and had them cut in half.

The cover is the new Marina Mist core colour cut at 6-3/16″ wide X 8-1/2″ long. Score down the 5-1/2″ side at 3″ and again at 3-1/16″. It should look like the picture below.

Next you need a piece of Whisper White Cardstock cut at 2-3/4″ wide X 3-1/2″ long. I used the line of flowers image from Friends Never Fade (118750) from the new 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalogue and then stamped the vase image from It’s the Thought. You can use any set you like for this panel – feel free to use your own imagination on this.

The Greenhouse Gala paper was cut at 2-3/4″ wide X 5-1/4″ long and adhered just to the edge of the image panel. I used an 8-1/2″ piece of Certainly Celery 5/8″ Grosgrain ribbon and adhered it around the piece just at the join of the two pieces of Cardstock. Then adhere this entire piece to your notebook cover leaving about an 1/8″ border around the edges. There you go, you are finished!
