Tulips are……..a girl’s best friend? Well for this post they are for sure! I saw a really cute idea for potted tulips on Candace Zentner’s blog and just had to make some for myself.
Punch art is not something I do on a regular basis – but I’m sure proud of these cheerful little tulips! I painted the clay pots(2-1/2″ dia & 2-1/2″ tall) and decorated them with Gingham Garden Designer Washi Tape(129314). I added a small circle of styrofoam to the inside of each pot to hold the tulip “stem”.
The tulips were cut out with the smallest oval in the Ovals Collection Framelits and trimmed to a point with Paper Snips(103579). I cut out 4 ovals for each tulip(Summer Starfruit, Tempting Turquoise, Blushing Bride) so I could sandwich the “stem” between them, the other petals were popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals(104430).
And isn’t it great how a little bit of easter grass finishes this garden off! It sits on my windowsill – with a snowy background – LOL.
