Hello and welcome! Today’s card shows you the one layer look. And…. it took a lot of thought because most of my cards have at least two layers. I really wanted to use the soon to be gone Home to Roost stamp set so here goes…..
…..all it took was a little extra thought and some masking! First, I embossed that handsome rooster with Copper Emboss Powder and then added the wheat using the masking technique. This is a great technique when you want to layer images without the extra lines showing on the “top” image. You need a post-it note, then stamp the “top” image onto it making sure that the sticky on the back is a part of the image. Cut it out and then place it over your previously stamped image. Check out the photo below.
Then, just stamp the second image over top and you have a lovely layered image.
All of this took place so I could play along with The Paper Players “one Layer Wonder” challenge. I think I nailed it – don’t you?
It took a few things to create so here’s the list for you. Note: I used the Old Olive Stampin’ Write marker to colour the greeting and the stems of wheat.
