Good morning to you and welcome. Today is the start of a long weekend here in Canada. Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving in October and it is customary for me to host the turkey dinner.
I wanted something cute for each place setting and with help from my Big Shot and the Two Tags die and came up with these little cuties.
The larger of the tags works wonderfully well for a table place card!
After I cut out the Early Espresso piece, I laid it onto the Simply Scored and added a score line at the little slit. Check the picture below to see what I mean. This little flap will become the “foot” for the place card.
Once folded, I cut a mat of Pool Party, added a small piece of Spice Cake Designer paper and then glued it to the place card.
The turkey from “Gift Givers” (Holiday Mini catalogue) was stamped onto very vanilla and then colored with Stampin’ Write Markers in Pool Party, More Mustard and Crumb Cake. I cut out the shape with paper snips and matted it to Early Espresso cut with the Curly Label Punch. A short length of quilted satin ribbon and a brad finish it off.
Here’s a close-up of the “foot” I was talking about.
