He, he, did that title catch your attention? Good, because this weekend is drag racing weekend and our local track(Northern Lights Raceway) is having a huge 2-header event that is sponsored by the IHRA(International Hot Rod Association) and the winners in each class will win an Ironman Trophy. A “Big deal” in the drag racing world!
It’s also a very special weekend for our family as Papa fulfilled Jayden’s wish for his own junior race car.
Here are Rusty(Papa), Rennie and Anthony working to make this car Jayden’s very own.
Taking off old decals to put on new just for Jayden. Anthony is the fellow with the phone to his ear – he sponsors both Bella and Jayden in their racing and is calling his office and ordering new decals for this car.
Here are Rusty’s and Bella’s cars tucked into the race trailer all ready to go! We’re not quite sure how to get all 3 cars in there – but – when it comes to our grandchildren all is possible!
So, wish us luck for the weekend and that we get good racing weather – we’ve been rained out for the past 2 races so every racer in the territory is praying for great weather this weekend!
