Hi there. It had occurred to me that I haven’t created any “guy” cards lately so today’s is a blend of that along with a cool technique.
I follow Stampin’ Up! on facebook and came across this cool technique on their page. It involves using the new Blending Brushes(153611) and a Garden Green ink pad. Start with the Dandy Laser Cut paper and add the ink using the blending brush. Do it carefully though, so you don’t tear the paper. It took several “layers” of colour to get the depth I was looking for. Then, using a sponge, I added touches of Versamark, sprinkled some Heat & Stick powder and added just a bit of heat with the Heat Tool. Heat just until the powder turns dark and then add the Gilded Leafing(154560). I also used the Heat Tool to set it a bit more after brushing the extra away.
To make it more of a guy card, I used the Dragonfly Garden Bundle. NOTE: This card measures 3-1/2″ x 5″ so there would’nt be a large border around the laser cut.
Here’s the list of products used.
