Hello stamping friends. Welcome and thank you for stopping by today. I’ve been thinking Halloween for the past couple of days and have been playing around with the awesome Pick Your Poison Designer paper that’s in the Holiday Mini catalogue. There sure are some great patterns in this package! Check them out on page 10.
I found the pattern to make this cute treat bag on the SUDSOL website. (If you are a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, you might like to check it out – there’s some great ideas there.)
The pattern directions were very easy to follow and I only used 1 page from the Pick Your Poison pack to create a 4″ x 6″ x 1-1/2″ bag.
It was decorated with images from the “Piece of Poison” stamp set. I stamped them onto Very Vanilla card stock with Basic Black Craft ink, sprinkled them with Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set them. I carefully cut out each image with paper snips. The skeleton was attached to the oval frame piece with Multi-purpose Liquid Glue and the scary spider was attached with 2 Stampin’ Dimensionals and I added a Basic Rhinestone to add a little “glam”.
The sentiment was cut out then mounted onto Basic Black card stock and carefully cut out again. 1/4″ Basic Black grosgrain ribbon makes two handy handles.
Here’s a side view of the completed bag waiting to be filled with yummy Halloween goodies!
