Hello to all this Saturday morning. Hope the week has treated you well and that you’re looking forward to a great weekend. I’ll be spending time with my grandchildren – always fun!
On to my card – I actually made the 10-Min Challenge this time. Notice the Timer – looks a lot like Big Bird, don’t you think? I also combined the Stamping Royalty Challenge to use only 1 layer – whew, that’s a difficult one for me, but I think it looks pretty good. The colours for Carole’Anne and Sandi’s 10-min challenge reminded me of Spring(which is coming – yes it is!)
So, I took a 5-1/2″x8-1/2″ sheet of Whisper White, scored at 4-1/4″. The Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder helped to add a little texture for interest. I wanted a smooth place in the middle of the card front, so layered a picture mat with it to form an oval opening in the middle of the card. The Vintage Vogue flowers inked up with Tempting Turquoise and YoYo Yellow made the flowers and the tiny leaf inked with Green Galore finished up the scene. These colours remind me so much of Easter, so Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped the sentiment. A length of 1/4″ Tempting Turquoise grosgrain ribbon finished things off.
