A STAINED GLASS LOOK

Hi there.  Today’s card features a stained glass technique that I really wanted to try.  Here it is.

I started with the Simply Beautiful Bundle(166965) and stamped the flowers and leaves onto Vellum specialty paper(167099) with versamark and then heat embossed in Gold Emboss powder.  Then, out came the Stampin’ Blends in Highland Heather, Balmy Blue and Old Olive.

When colouring on Vellum I noticed that using the Light shade works best because as it dries you can layer the same colour and it will turn out darker.

The Beautifully Celebrated Bundle(166975) supplied the lovely die-cut background and the yellow stamp image.

I’m playing along with TGIF Challenges for this so I choose to use Smoky Slate as the card base and embossed it with the Stone & Vine 3D embossing folder(166990) – just have to have some texture too!
