Good Friday morning friends. It’s an Inspiration challenge today from fellow Stamp-a-holic, Becky Jensen. Looks like a good one, doesn’t it!
Ok, here’s my chance to use our brand new Early Espresso cardstock – such a nice, rich brown colour. I paired it with Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla – are you getting hungrey LOL?
I used the very lovely stamp set, Elements of Style and the sentiment came from In A Word. Just a note here, Elements of Style is in the new 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalogue and In A Word is still available in the Summer Mini Catalogue. I tried the “Spotlighting” technique on this card using Rich Razzleberry classic ink. Turned out not too bad – after all there is a bit of colour in the inspiration picture.
Here’s a close-up of Mr. Timer – 15min 10sec. A 10-minute card seems like an illusion sometimes. When one wants to add sponging and ribbon, etc. the time just flies on by. At least Mr. Timer doesn’t nag!
OK, here’s the Recipe for you;
Stamps: Elements of Style, In A Word
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake Classic(for sponging), Early Espresso, Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: 1/8″ Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon, Scallop Oval Punch, 3/16″ Corner Rounder Punch, Big Shot, Texture Plates #4 – Distressed
Now hop on over to Carole’Anne’s blog and check out the other Design Team samples. There’s some serious talent there! Then, why don’t you take some stamping time and create your own version of the Inspiration picture and post it so we can all take a look.
The NEW 2010-2011 IDEA BOOK & CATALOGUE is now available to you. This is a beautiful issue just full of great ideas and lots and lots of new stuff. I love the way it is laid out, it is so easy to read and to find exactly what you are looking for. Check it out here. To all my Long-distance clients – your catalogue will be “winging” it’s way to you via Canada Post this weekend.
That’s it for today – I wish you a great Friday and have yourselves a wonderful weekend wherever you are.
Cheers;
