Good Morning and welcome to Friday! Today is the Stamp-a-holics 10-minutes challenge. This picture was given to us by Nancy Dawson for our inspiration for today’s project. Did you dream of having a room like this when you were a little girl? I did – it’s so bright and cheerful and perfect for a little girl to dream in.
So I chose Soft Suede, Regal Rose and Certainly Celery as the main colours and added Very Vanilla for the neutral. I used two retiring items, Asian Artistry and Bridesmaid Specialty Designer Paper. Check out the Last Chance lists here so you don’t miss out on these great items.
I stamped the flower image first with Soft Suede Classic Ink and then, using my trusty Stamp-a-ma-jig, over-stamped with Versamark. A little Clear Embossing Powder was sprinkled over top and heat set with the handy Heat Tool. The flower and leaves were coloured using Regal Rose and Certainly Celery classic inks and the Aqua Painter.
I love this saying and gave it a little zip by adding a rhinestone from the Ice Circles collection. It is green in colour and not as shown. (Must be a reflection from the light and perhaps from the angle I took the picture – I’ll have to watch that for next time.)
All of this took a total of 14:07 – darn it! Well, there is alway next time, right? One should never give up.
Ok, now you know what to do – use this wonderful picture as your inspiration and then post your creation to Carole’Anne’s blog here. While you are there, make sure to check out the other Design Team samples – there’s some serious talent there!
I wish you all a wonderful weekend and we’ll see you all back here on Monday!
Cheers;
