Good Morning and welcome to Thursday! Today I am playing along with two challenges. I got the inspiration for the colours in this card from the picture below.
This is from the Late Night Stampers group. Each week there is a challenge to inspire us to share our artwork with the rest of the group.
It’s a great group to be a part of and everyone shares their artwork, thoughts and ideas. There is a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator side and a side for non-Demonstrators as well. Check it out, you’ll like it.
I pulled the blues and greens from the inspiration picture and also a touch of the red. You can see the red stripe on the wall just below the left side of the window. This picture spoke “child” to me, so, out came the clear-mount stamp set, First Day (120051) which is in the Summer Mini Catalogue.
The images in this set are smaller, so I sized the card to 3-1/4″ X 6″ to fit Stampin’ Up’s Small Open-End Envelopes(107286).

I decided to try something different here. I laid out the images that I wanted to use and attached all three to Stampin’ Up’s clear block size “I”(118488). This is a good way to organize the images to fit your cardstock mat. Then, because I wanted different colours for each image, I used the “direct to stamp” technique and coloured each with a Stampin’ Write Marker in the chosen colours of Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz and Cherry Cobbler. Then I “Huffed” on the images and stamped. I chose the small alphabet letters to border the image panel to add a little something extra. I think this is a cute card and could be given to a child for just about any occasion.
Recipe:
Stamp Set: First Day
Cardstock: Marina Mist, Pear Pizazz, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Ink: Cherry Cobbler Classic, Marina Mist classic
Accessories: Stampin’ Write Markers – Marina Mist, Pear Pizazz, Cherry Cobbler, 1-1/4″ Circle Punch, 1-3/4″ Scallop Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Border Punch
So there you go, a Mini Tutorial from me. Give it a try yourself, it really works!
Now, I’m off to work on the Stamp-a-holic’s Friday challenge so come on back tomorrow and check it out and Thanks a bunch for visiting today.
Cheers;

Great job! I love how you used both challenges for your card. The A+ is perfect! Thanks so much for playing along. Sorry for the late comment, just getting home from a week of camping with my son.
