Good morning to you all! I’m so happy to be stamping and posting again and have a pretty card for you as well as a couple of updates from Stampin’ Up!
The weather has been up and down here lately and I’m impatient for true springtime weather so I pulled out the Summer Solstice stamp set for this card.
This was one of 4 cards created at last week’s “1 Stamp 4 Ways” class. I love the combination of Calypso Coral and Certainly Celery. Especially since Certainly Celery is one colour that is going away when the New Catalogue comes out! (Read on for more details on the Colour Refresh!)
We simply stamped the flower several times and then added the pretty little leaf as a great background.
Of course, two flowers from the 5/8″ Flower Trim found in the Spring Catalogue had to be added as they just finish it off so nicely.

Now for some Very Important News! The COLOUR REFRESH!
As you can see, there are quite a few colours going away and more being added to the Colour Families. I’m really excited about this Refresh and so happy to see some of my favourites returning. Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry(yep, after I used it I liked it!) and Soft Sky are just a few. And, check out that one New Colour – Smoky Slate! Sounds fabulous!
Another wonderful New Product being presented with the New Catalogue are – wait for it – NEW WOOD MOUNT CASES. I’m so excited about this news too as it will be an excellent way to store my wood mount stamp sets so they will be much easier to store with my clear mount. Check them out:
Lots of great new products coming out. Be ready for May 31st, 2013!
Wonderful card – love the colors and will miss several of the retiring colors…sad!
