These bright and happy birds are sending congratulations from their gilded cage.
I had the cage already cut out from another project and wanted to amp it up a bit more, so bounced some Versamark with a Blending Brush over it, added Gold Emboss powder and heat set it. This is a “wait and see” kind of technique so I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. But it looks pretty good after all.
It was so much fun to colour those birds from the Pretty Birds Bundle(158847) with bright colours! I used the Charming Sentiments Bundle(158734) for the sentiment. TIP: to get the mat in another colour, cut two and layer them on the back of the already cut out sentiment.
The sentiment was placed sideways on the card to play along with this new sketch from The Paper Players.
