I haven’t done a lot of sponging on my cards in quite a while so decided that the retiring Corner Garden background stamp was the perfect set for it.
All I did was stamp the image with the Archival Basic Gray ink(it gives a softer outline) and then sponged several different colours over the flowers and leaves. I used Mint Macaron, Daffodil Delight and Pink Pirouette and love the way it turned out. Adding the pearls finishes it off just perfectly!
I used this great sketch from Freshly Made Sketches as my starting point.
So, there you go, maybe a little “homework” for you for the weekend maybe? Give it a try, sponging adds just the right amount of colour when you’re looking for a softer feel.
Here’s the short list of items I used:
Have an excellent weekend and Happy Stamping!
