Good Morning and welcome to Wednesday. Today’s post uses this week’s Stamping 411 sketch for my inspiration.
In my post for last Friday I mentioned trying the Cracked Glass Technique – well, today I went ahead with it and really like how it turned out. This involves heating 3 layers of Glassy Glaze Enamel and letting each layer cool thoroughly before applying the next layer. Once all layers are cooled you then fold back and forth to crack the finish for an antique look.
You can see the effect a little better on this view.
Baja Breeze is one of the “old” in-colours that is returning in June, so I brought my stash out for this card. The Very Vanilla layer was tucked into the Square Lattice Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot. I used the brads and Flower stamens from the Pretties Kit to give the butterflies their antennae.
Recipe:
Stamp: Elements of Style
Cardstock: Baja Breeze, Very Vanilla
Ink: Baja Breeze, Versamark
Accessories: Big Shot, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Beautiful Butterflies Bigz Die, Glassy Glaze Enamel, Heat Tool, Pretties Kit, Stampin Dimensionals
Give this technique a try yourself, if you need any help or inspiration I’m available. Just drop me an email.
Have yourself an awesome Wedneday and I’ll be back tomorrow with a scrapbook layout to show you.
Cheers;
