Hi. The Christmas season will soon be here and it’s always a good idea to get a little bit ahead of Christmas crafting. So, I made this simple and pretty card to add to my Christmas collection.
I cut out this pretty bird from the Nests of Winter designer series paper(164183) and then built the card around it. Backwards, probably, but sometimes deciding on the focal image helps to add the other elements for a card.
The Patterned Tags Dies(165910) have some really nice designs, but I chose this one for its simplicity. The one-word sentiment is from the Traditional Labels stamp set(165854) and I decided that it would look good heat embossed with white emboss powder.
This card needed a subtle background, so out came the Peaceful Greenery 3D embossing folder(165928).
I’m playing along with this new sketch from Freshly Made Sketches today but chose to use a “regular” card shape rather than square.
