Good Morning Blogging Friends;
Did you watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics last night? Wow, what an amazing and fascinating performance. The colours and the sound were Awe-inspiring! I was glued to my seat.
So now, the 2010 Winter Olympics are open and underway. Who are you cheering for? Can Canada win gold? Do you Believe? Just think of all the dedication and hours each athlete and their families have devoted to their sport. It takes courage and dedication to achieve excellence and these athletes have certainly accomplished that! Now, it’s on to the competition and may they achieve their goals. So Believe Canada – Gold awaits!
I would like to take this opportunity to extend my sincere condolences to the family, friends and teammates for the loss of Nodor Kumaritashvili.
I wanted to create a simple card to highlight the phrase that’s been quoted throughout the lead-up to the Olympics. “Believe”. The Gold stars represent Canada’s dreams for their athletes.
I used the layout from Mary Jo’s Monday Lunchtime Sketch – I felt that it suited my needs perfectly.
Recipe:
Card stock: Whisper White, Real Red, Brushed Gold
Accessories: Big Shot, Stars #2 Die, Decorative Strip Billboard, 5/8″ Real Red Satin Ribbon
Believe;

Love this card. It fits right in with the theme of the games and will look good on a scrapebook page too.
