…….we were picking apples and the grass was green? Sigh, well green grass is on its way, we just have to wait a few weeks.
In the meantime, here’s a little remembrance for you. Fresh apples and what could possibly be a great greeting card for the men.
I love all the sentiments in the Word Play stamp set and this particular sentiment goes very well with the truck image from Countryside.
I played with my Aqua Painter and Stampin’ Write Markers for this one. The image was first stamped on Watercolor paper with Stazon Jet Black ink. This is an alcohol-based ink and is the best to use when you wish to work with water coloring.
The truck was colored with Cajun Craze classic ink, the apples with Pear Pizzazz and the baskets with More Mustard. A hint of Pear Pizzazz was used to highlight the grass.
There are some great articles on each sheet in the First Edition Designer Paper pack and this piece talks about olden days which works really well with the aged theme of this card.
I needed some Cajun Craze ribbon to finish off, so donned some rubber gloves and ran a length of Very Vanilla seam binding through the Cazun Craze ink pad to dye it. Since this is an “old” card, the Antique Brad just had to be there.
I’m so pleased with the way this card turned out!
