Yes, it’s WORD WEDNESDAY and the word of choice is “HELLO”. This week I have created a card using stamp sets that start with the letter “E”.
The stamp sets used are “En Francais”(a great and versatile background stamp) and “Elizabeth”(a single stamp from the A la Carte section on pages 18-20).
The Mocha Morning Specialty Designer Series paper is so beautiful and I felt that it would be a great compliment to these 2 stamp sets. So I started with a card base of Soft Suede and matted the piece of designer paper to Crumb Cake.
En Francais was inked up with Soft Suede Classic ink and stamped onto Soft Suede card stock. I cut the piece to 2″ x 3-7/8″ and adhered it to the right side of the matted pieces. Next, I added two layers of ribbon – 1/2″Crumb Cake Seam Binding topped with 3/8″ Soft Suede Taffeta.
The Elizabeth image was stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock with Soft Suede classic ink, rubbed with the Embossing Buddy and then over-stamped with Versamark.(The Stamp-a-ma-jig was used here for perfect placement). The whole thing was sprinkled with Iridescent Ice Emboss Powder and heat set. The sentiment from “You’re A Gem” was stamped in the center and then I cut it out freehand with my paper snips. A little sponging with Crumb Cake classic ink added a vintage-y feel.
