Good morning and a big welcome to you! Today’s card is using a great technique with one of the many choices of Hostess stamp sets that you can earn. The set is called “Faith in Nature” and it can be yours just by hosting a Stampin’ Up! party with me. Sounds like fun doesn’t it!
Here is one example of what you can do with this great set.
I liked the layout that we used on Friday for the Stamp-a-holic’s challenge so stayed with it for this card.
The card base is So Saffron with a bright mat of Poppy Parade and highlighted with two pieces of designer paper from Pocketful of Posies.
I used the “Masking” technique for the main image and here’s a short tutorial for you on how to get this effect.
First, stamp the image you want to use onto a post-it note(make sure the sticky edge is at the top of your image). Then cut it out. This will be your mask.
Stamp your first image onto the card stock(I used Whisper White).
Then, lay the cut out mask over top of that image and stamp again. This will give you clean lines and make it look like one flower is behind the other.
You can do this with many images to create a bouquet if you like. I just wanted two to show on my picture like this……..
I hope you’ve enjoyed this tutorial. If you have any questions on this technique, contact me, I’ll be happy to talk with you.
