FAMILY FOR THANKSGIVING

Welcome to my blog and many Happy Thanksgiving wishes to my Canadian friends. We are sitting down to turkey dinner tonight with our family – it’s going to be a busy day getting the meal ready and visiting with everyone! We’ll have 7 adults, 3 children 8 & under, 3 dogs and 1 very annoyed cat! Should be fun LOL!

Today’s Thanksgiving greeting is using the sketch from Create with Connie and Mary. It’s a square card today and I just had to use Cajun Craze and More Mustard for this one. I love the richness of these two colours together.

I tried a new technique called “Wet Paper Stamping”. First, using an Aqua Painter, puddle a few small drops of water on Watercolor paper. Spread it around with the brush and then stamp your image. (It’s important not to use too much water or your image will bleed too much). After the paper is dry, you can then overstamp with a darker colour to add some colour variety. It’s a really easy technique, give it a try yourself.
